The Paediatric Rheumatology department at Monash Children's Hospital (MCH) provides patient-centred care to children and adolescents with a wide variety of conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system as well as conditions of non infectious multi system inflammation including Juvenile idiopathic arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Juvenile Dermatomyositis, vasculitis, and periodic fever syndromes. The Paediatric Rheumatology team comprises Paediatric Rheumatologists, junior medical staff including HMO and ATR, a Paediatric Rheumatology nurse specialist, and specialist Allied Health practitioners including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and podiatry staff. The Paediatric Rheumatology department at MCH provides a range of clinical services including: inpatient care to children admitted with Paediatric Rheumatic conditions; inpatient consultation service for teams requiring Rheumatology input in the care of children admitted to MCH; consultation service for paediatric staff requiring assistance in the care of children at other Monash Health sites (such as Dandenong and Casey Hospitals); ambulatory care in the outpatient setting; day medical admissions for medication infusions; and joint injections to children requiring steroid injection for treatment of juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

• Consultant paediatric Rheumatologist or adult Rheumatologist or General Paediatrician, Monash Children's Hospital
• Sabbatical Leave Cover: 4 Oct 2026 - 4 April 2027
• 0.1 EFT (3.5 hours weekly)

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary paediatric rheumatology team. Specific responsibilities include:

• Management of children with clinical problems within the scope of paediatric rheumatology.
• Attendance at outpatient clinic:
• weekly specialist general Paediatric Rheumatology clinic (Monday 9:00-12:30);
  • Consultation support for junior medical staff and Specialist Nurse in managing outpatient enquiries.
  • Participation in unit administrative tasks including but not limited to triage of referrals.
  • Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings, radiology meetings and education meetings.
  • Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care.
  • Provide high quality Paediatric Rheumatology clinical care at Monash Children's Hospital, consistent with the Monash Health values, including collaboration with Paediatric Rheumatology consultant staff, junior medical staff and nursing staff in managing patient care.
  • Contribute to ongoing service improvement and clinical and workforce innovation to ensure Monash Health provides high quality accessible Paediatric and Adolescent Rheumatology Department Services within allocated resources and meets the needs of Monash Health patients.
  • Contribute to supervision and education of junior medical staff and Rheumatology trainees in the outpatient setting.

About the Role

Join our team as a Registered Nurse on a part time or full time, ongoing basis to work in our challenging, rewarding and constantly evolving Emergency Department. No two shifts are ever the same. One moment you may be caring for a critically unwell patient, the next you may be supporting a family through a difficult time, coordinating multiple competing priorities or responding to a rapidly changing clinical situation.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based critical care nursing, including:

• Conducting rapid assessment, triage, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and in partnership with patients, their families and carers
• Monitoring patients for critical and time-sensitive changes in condition, initiating appropriate emergency procedures and escalating concerns to the Manager as needed

This role requires the ability to work a rotating roster across day, evening and night duty shifts.

About the Role  

Join our team as a Mental Health Clinician on a part time 0.5EFT, fixed term (21st September 2026- 19 September 2027), to work at CASEA based at Oakleigh.

In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of Nadia Rakiposki, the Manager, and will be working with the broader CASEA team.

The Monash Health CAMHS and Schools Early Action (CASEA) Program is a joint initiative with the Infant, Child, Family and Youth Area Mental Health Service, the Department of Health, Department of Early Education and Childhood Development (DEECD) and Catholic Education Office of Melbourne (CEOM). Designed as an early intervention program, the CASEA program is delivered in school settings to children identified as being at risk of developing significant behavioural and emotional difficulties, including Conduct Disorder and related emotional challenges such as anxiety, low mood, and difficulties with emotional regulation. The program adopts a universal approach, incorporating professional development for teachers, ongoing upskilling through secondary consultation, and the delivery of group programs for children and parents identified as being at risk.  

The key components of the role include:  

• Provision of group interventions to children and parents identified in collaboration with education staff and working in collaboration with education staff to deliver these interventions  

• The identification and assessment of children and parents for suitability for group interventions, undertaken in collaboration with education staff.  

• Provision of therapeutic support to the ‘system’ around the young person in a collaborative and reflective partnership with other involved agencies.  

• Primary and Secondary Consultation  

• Education and Training to education staff  

• Facilitation and coordination of appropriate referrals following assessment to relevant mental health service providers (primary care, public or private mental health service sector), where CASEA group interventions are deemed inappropriate.

The Acute Neuropsychology Unit is situated within Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. We provide inpatient consultation across all Monash Health acute sites for adult medical, oncology, cardiac and surgical services, alongside a specialist Outpatient Neuropsychology Clinic for current Monash Health patients.

Our team works with people experiencing neurological, neurodegenerative and complex medical conditions affecting cognitive functioning. We collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and play a key role in supporting patient care.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly specialised neuropsychology service providing assessment and consultation across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting neuropsychological, cognitive and decision-making capacity assessments.

About You

• General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA and endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology.
• At least five years' post-registration experience as a Grade 2 Psychologist (or equivalent).

• Experience providing consultation, supervision and professional support to others.

Working alongside other Administration Officers, you’ll be the first point of contact for people coming into the hospital. 

About the Roles 

We are recruiting to two permanent part time roles at Monash Medical Centre (MMC), Clayton.  

Position 1

Hours: 41.5 hours per fortnight (5 shifts) 

The regular shifts for this role are likely to be: 

• Week 1 of the fortnight; Monday and Wednesday:  07:00am to 03:30pm, Friday: 07:00am to 04:00pm 
• Week 2 of the fortnight; Thursday and Friday: 07:00am to 04:00pm 

Position 2

Hours: 37 hours per fortnight (5 shifts) 

The regular shifts for this role are likely to be: 

• Week 1 of the fortnight; Monday, Tuesday and Thursday:  11:30am to 08:00pm, Friday: 08:00am to 04:30pm and Sunday 10:00am to 03:00pm

Working as part of a dedicated team, you’d receive your roster for work at least two weeks in advance, to help you plan your time and accommodate any other commitments you have.  In addition, you’d have to opportunity to pick up additional shifts at other hospitals in the Monash Health network when colleagues take periods of significant leave or when we need your support with covering other absences.   

About Us

Our Reception/Admissions Department at MMC Clayton is open seven days a week to enable us to meet the healthcare needs of the community we serve. Our shifts currently have varying start and finish times (largely between 7:00am and 8:00pm) and may change from time to time as our services further develop and grow. This role is particularly important as it is usually the first point of contact for people entering the hospital and sets the tone for their experience with us.  

In addition to providing a warm, welcoming greeting to people approaching you at reception, your key responsibilities would also include: 

• Providing an equally high standard of customer service to people you interact with over the phone; 

• Utilising a number of software systems to support your work and assist consumers

• Ensuring timely, complete and accurate entry of data and details when admitting and updating patient details into a range of systems.  

We use iPM as our Patient administration system. You would also need to work with our VAED audit reports and may be asked to undertake other related administrative duties,

About the Role

As the Continuing Care Team and Mobile Support and Treatment Service, Team Manager, you are expected to provide both clinical, organisational and operational oversight to the Continuing Care Team and Mobile Support and Treatment Team. Using clinical experience and expertise, supporting both the treating team, consumers and families/carers to achieve their recovery goals.

This role requires a highly skilled communicator and the development and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders both within Monash Health and externally. The position requires a broad understanding of the health care system, current and future workforce directions and industrial platforms. The incumbent is a role model of the core values and purpose of the organisation to ensure achievement of exceptional care and outstanding outcomes. The incumbent is a big picture thinker, an innovator, a mentor, a coach and someone who motivates and inspires others to meet all challenges presented. 

This role is a full-time permanent position however it is open to internal applicants as a secondment

This role is open to the following disciplines: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 5, Social Worker Grade 5, Occupational Therapist Grade 5, and Psychologist Grade 4. 

About the Team

The Community Mental Health Continuing Care Team and Mobile Support and Treatment Services works across Clayton, Southern and Bayside regions to provide an effective and comprehensive service to consumers of the Clayton Adult Mental Health Program. Working within a multi-disciplinary team we provide treatment and support to individuals experiencing complex mental health and psychosocial challenges.  

The Continuing Care Team Model of Care provide follow up to consumers with mental health issues requiring specialist mental health treatment and support that often is not met by generic services. This service provides case management support and treatment for consumers aged 25 to 65 years, operating Monday to Friday business hours, based at Atherton Rd Centre, Oakleigh.

The Mobile Support and Treatment Services is an assertive outreach services which provides case management to consumers aged between 25-65 years of age, with complex mental health needs who require psychosocial support and treatment. This service operates Monday – Sunday, working a rotating roster of morning and afternoon shifts, based at Atherton Rd Centre, Oakleigh.
