Bring your Occupational Therapy expertise in neurodivergence and child and youth mental health to a highly specialised role where your assessment, formulation and clinical recommendations can make a meaningful difference for young people and their families.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Grade 3 Occupational Therapist to join the Endeavour Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Team within Monash Health’s Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS). This  ongoing specialist role is 0.2 EFT (1 day per week), and has a strong assessment focus, working with infants, children and young people presenting with complex neurodevelopmental, behavioural and mental health needs.

About the Endeavour Team

The Endeavour Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Team is a specialist assessment and consultation service supporting young people with complex neurological, developmental, behavioural and psychiatric presentations. The team works with young people experiencing neurodivergence including autism, ADHD, intellectual developmental disability, learning, motor and communication disorders, tic disorders and neurological conditions.

Many young people referred to Endeavour also experience co-occurring mental health concerns and complex psychosocial factors, making this an opportunity to work at the intersection of mental health, neurodevelopment and occupational functioning.

About You

You are an experienced Occupational Therapist who enjoys complex assessment, collaborative practice and bringing an OT perspective to understanding how a young person participates and functions in everyday life. You will bring:

• experience working in mental health and/or a relevant area such as paediatrics or child and youth services
• demonstrated experience completing high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments with children and young people
• strong clinical reasoning, formulation and report-writing skills
• knowledge and experience in neurodivergence and child and youth mental health
• confidence working independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
• the ability to provide clear recommendations and advice to young people, families, carers and clinicians
• a commitment to evidence-based practice and maintaining contemporary clinical knowledge.

About the Mobile Support Team

The Clayton Mobile Support & Treatment Team (MSTT) is part of a leading community mental health service delivering intensive, recovery-oriented care to adults experiencing complex mental health and psychosocial challenges. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior clinician to step into the Team Manager role within the CASEA program, part of Monash Health’s Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service.

Based at the Atherton Hub in Oakleigh, this is a permanent part-time position (0.8 EFT) where you’ll have the opportunity to lead a skilled multidisciplinary team and help shape a service that supports children, families and the communities around them. CASEA works at the intersection of mental health and education, partnering with schools and education services to identify concerns early, strengthen the supports around children and families, and improve access to appropriate mental health care.

Designed as an early intervention program, the CASEA program is conducted in school settings with children identified as being at risk of developing serious behaviour problems including Conduct Disorder. An exciting opportunity is available for a Grade 2 Social Worker to join SECASA’s Intake & Brief Treatment Team in a part-time (0.6 EFT), ongoing position.

As part of SECASA’s central access point, you’ll often be one of the first points of contact, supporting people as they connect with the service. About SECASA

The South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) provides specialist support to people impacted by sexual assault and family violence across Melbourne’s south-east. The Intake & Brief Treatment Team is the central access point for SECASA’s clinical and therapeutic services. We triage and prioritise incoming referrals, undertake initial assessments, provide information and secondary consultation, and connect people with the support that best meets their needs.

The team also delivers sexual assault crisis responses during business hours, completes assessments relating to Child Protection and DFFH referrals, and provides brief, evidence-based interventions for people requiring timely specialist support.

Monash Children’s Hospital Allied Health provides specialised, multidisciplinary care to infants, children and families across inpatient, community and specialty services. Our teams work across multiple sites, including Monash Children’s Hospital, Casey Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Early Parenting Centre and Sandringham Hospital.

The Music Therapy team provides services across Monash Health, including paediatric and adult inpatient services and mental health. At Monash Children’s Hospital, Music Therapy supports children and families across a range of settings, including paediatric and neonatal intensive care, special care nurseries, inpatient units, specialty clinics and community-based services.

Working as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team, Music Therapists provide evidence-based care that considers the physical, psychological, cognitive, emotional and social needs of each child and family.

About the Role

Join our team as a Grade 2 Music Therapist, part time (3 days a week) ongoing, to provide high-quality, evidence-based Music Therapy to children and their families at Monash Children’s Hospital.

While mainly based at Monash Children’s Hospital, there may be times required to travel and work at other Monash Health sites to meet operational needs.

Working under the direction of the Head of Music, Art and Child Life Therapies and alongside experienced clinicians, you will:

• Provide assessment, treatment and care coordination for paediatric patients in individual and group settings.

Monash Children’s Hospital provides a Child Life Therapy service across paediatrics, including paediatric emergency, diagnostic imagining, pathology and acute inpatients.

Child Life Therapists form part of a dynamic Allied Health team.  You will be joining a friendly and welcoming team of Child Life Therapists with a focus on strength based practice with family-centred care, to support the psychosocial, development and emotional wellbeing needs of patients and their families.

About the Role 

Join our team as a Grade 2 Child Life Therapist on a part time (0.6 EFT, 45.6 hours per fortnight), 8 week fixed term position (27 October- 18 December, 2026), to work at Monash Children’s Hospital based at Clayton.

This position will provide clinical services to infants, children and adolescents, across Monash Children’s Hospital. 

Child Life Therapy aims to reduce the stress and anxiety for children, young people and their families that can be associated with hospitalisation. Child Life Therapists specialise in child development to support and empower children, young people and their families to cope in the healthcare environment through:

• Provision of evidence-based interventions to promote developmental, social and emotional wellbeing
• Delivery of developmentally appropriate procedural preparation and support

About the Role

Join our team as a Peer Worker – Mobile Drug Safety Worker (MDSW), on a full time, fixed term basis until June 2027, working in the Drug & Alcohol Services as part of Monash Health. 

This role will sit within the multidisciplinary of the Primary Health Clinic (PHC) and Needle Syringe Program (NSP) which offer the provision of basic health interventions, equipment, information and referral within a harm minimisation framework as it applies to people who use drugs in the Greater Dandenong area. This includes covering/supporting the Springvale area.This work will include basic knowledge of infection control, vein and wound care, HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections. The PHC provides an Opioid Replacement Therapy that the Care and recovery team support in providing assistance to the Addiction Medicine Specialist, Nurse Practitioners and other health care workers and clients of this services.  

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Reduce public health harms associating with injecting drug use
• Draw on their own lived experience of substance use and/or mental ill health and recovery to support others.
• Seek to improve the outcomes of those clients at risk of
• Provide mobile outreach and community engagement to people who use alcohol and other drugs 
• Deliver targeted drug-strategy information, brief interventions and referrals
• Work closely with the Mobile Overdose Response Service worker and Proactive Overdose Response Initiative Peer worker in dealing with overdose and providing harm reduction education and treatment pathways for people who use drugs.  
• Provide reflective discipline-specific supervision to other Lived and Living Experience Workforce employees, and offer guidance and support to Peer Workers on best practice and resolving complex consumer needs.

Peer Workers act as recovery champions, and practice within the Intentional Peer Support (IPS) values of mutual respect, shared experiences and collaboration. They seek to create authentic connections that foster personal growth and healing. As a non-clinical workforce Peer Workers complement the work of clinical staff without undertaking clinical duties.

Team & Program Contributions include:

• Participate in program development and continuous improvement from a consumer perspective.
• Collaborate with service staff and stakeholders; engage in reflective supervision and peer workforce development.
