About Monash Neurology

Monash Neurology is one of the largest provider of neurology patient care in Victoria and a state-wide designated endovascular clot retrieval centre. This unit sees over 2000 patients a year with a significant number of stroke patients. We have two concurrent stroke teams along with a neurology ward team and three consultation teams (Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong Hospital, and Casey Hospital). There is ample opportunity to rotate through various fields of neurology such as acute stroke management, multiple sclerosis, neurophysiology, epilepsy, neuro-oncology, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-degenerative diseases, neuro-otology, headache, and chronic neurology. Monash neurology also provide a large ambulatory services with a large number of EEG and EMG being performed providing excellent training opportunities. Monash Neurology is also world renowned for its research and subsequent publications.

About the Role

There are 2.5 unaccredited neurology registrar positions available in 2027. This is supported by six core neurology advanced trainees. This will involve registrars rotating through stroke, neurology and consults. Trainees will be part of the call roster so will have vast clinical experience as well as ample research opportunities. About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at Casey Hospital, Monash Health to assist in covering long service leave from 24th November 2026 to 20th January 2027.

The paediatric unit at Casey has a 20 cot SCN and a 20 bed children's ward (shared with Paediatric Surgery and ENT), supported by a team of dedicated nurses and three other consultants to provide 24 hour cover. The unit has 8 FTE of registrars, an SRMO, 6 HMOs and a part time Clinical Nurse Consultant. Each paediatrician participates in a 1 in 4 roster of ward service, after hours cover and a number of outpatient clinics per month. The outpatient clinics have registrar or SRMO support. In addition, it is expected that consultants attend weekly teaching and clinical review meetings and contribute to the non clinical activities of the paediatric unit.

On average the role will be paid at 12.27 hours/week plus on call as rostered. There may be an opportunity to work some additional hours. The role comprises:

• Ward service week (1 week in 4): Supervision of morning handover Daily ward rounds of Paediatric Ward and Special Care Nursery and cover for advice and emergencies until 1700 Monday afternoon - General Paediatric outpatient clinic Tuesday afternoon - Results Review clinic Wed afternoon - Rapid Review clinic Thursday afternoon - cover registrars to allow their attendance at teaching On call Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
• Non ward service weeks: Monday morning General Paediatric outpatient clinic the week after ward service Thursday afternoon teaching attendance
• One night per week from (currently Tuesday nights) and Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights of ward service week
• Must be available to attend emergencies within 30 minutes (local accommodation may be able to be reimbursed if needed)
• Other duties: Supervision and mentorship of junior medical staff

About the Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Perioperative Liaison Nurse to join Monash Health's Elective Surgery Services (ESS) team on a Full Time Ongoing basis. This is a Monday - Friday role, typically 8:00am - 4:30pm, however is rostered according to operational requirements.

About the Role

An opportunity to join a clinic focused on myeloid related diseases at the Cranbourne Community Hospital. The primary function of this role to participate on a weekly basis in the clinic on Monday afternoons with a case mix of patients with predominantly malignant haematological conditions. An exciting opportunity is available for a Youth Mental Health clinician to join the Recovery & Prevention of Psychosis Team (RAPPT) within the Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service.

RAPPT provides specialist assessment, intervention, consultation, and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team supporting young people experiencing first episode psychosis and complex mental health presentations. You will work across both outreach and clinic-based settings, providing recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care while supporting continuity of care, shared decision-making, and strong family engagement.

About the Role

Join our team as a Youth Mental Health Clinician on fixed term contract to work at the Dandenong Community Health Building based at Dandenong. The Recovery and Prevention of Psychosis team offers flexible intensive service delivery, with a combination of clinic-based and outreach.

The role is for mental health clinician with training, qualifications and experience in assessing and providing mental health interventions for young people who present with complex mental health problems and associated risk factors. Developing a developmental and psychological formulation to understand a young person's mental health difficulties and inform intervention planning and care coordination for young people aged between 16-25 years old

The Manual Handling (Move Smart) Program partners with clinical and non-clinical teams to reduce musculoskeletal injury risks through practical training, specialist advice, risk assessment and guidance on safe work practices and equipment, while supporting continuous improvement across theorganisation.

About the Role

Join our team as a Manual Handling Coordinator on a full-time basis, working across Monash Health hospitals and clinics. In this role, you will work under the leadership of the Manual Handling Program Team Leader and collaborate with the broader Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team and stakeholders across Monash Health. You will:

Coordinate, deliver and continuously improve manual handling training for clinical and non-clinical employees;

Provide practical advice on hazardous manual handling, risk controls, safe work practices and equipment;

Support managers to identify manual handling risks and implement effective improvement strategies;

Evaluate program effectiveness and contribute to relevant policies, procedures and equipment planning.

This role requires travel between Monash Health campuses and work across alternative locations as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:

Demonstrated experience in training facilitation, including group instruction and individual coaching;

Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively;

Practical experience in conducting manual handling risk assessments;

The Women's & Perinatal Mental Health Unit at Monash Health is a specialist, evidence-informed, and integrated service that includes a community perinatal mental health team, a perinatal consultation-liaison service, and the Monash Perinatal and Infant Inpatient Unit. The successful applicant will have a passion for research and teaching. The clinical role requires experience in one or all of infant, perinatal and/or women's mental health.

About the Role

As part of the team, you will:

• Provide evidence-based mental health care to parents and infants needing dyadic/relational interventions, women attending Monash Health for their maternity and orgynaecologycare, parents with infants admitted to the newborn nurseries, and work closely with the Monash Perinatal and Infant Inpatient Unit
• Support Psychiatry Registrars through supervision and training, and also other junior doctors and medical students
• Conduct research and produce papers and publications from that research
• Contribute to the preparation of research proposal submissions to external funding bodies
• Supervise research-support staff and guide in the research effort of junior team members
• Participate and contribute to the teaching program of the Department in the area of women's and perinatal mental health
• Co-supervision or, where appropriate, supervision of major honours or postgraduate research projects within the field of the staff member's area of research
• Attendance at meetings associated with research or the work of the organisational unit to which the research is connected
• Be supported by an engaged, professional Consultant body, leadership team and skilled multi-disciplinary mental health workforce
• Be expected to work at different Monash Health sites including Oakleigh, Pakenham and Clayton
• Participate in the After-Hours On-call roster

The adjunct academic appointment will be reviewed in accordance with Monash University metrics and for a period determined by the University.

About You

To be successful in this academic and healthcare role, you will have the following:

• Be working towards or hold a PhD in the field of psychiatry
• Competence in preparing research proposals, conducting research, supervising research staff, producing papers and publications
• Experience in teaching in the area of perinatal and women's mental health
• Clinical experience in at least one of perinatal and/or consultation-liaison psychiatry
