Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Current authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse / Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with equivalent of three years Fulltime experience in an advanced nursing role within a rural care environment.
• Authority to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or demonstrated evidence of eligibility to obtain authorisation within 2 years. If working towards your qualification, you will be paid at CNC level 2 wage, till qualifications finish
• An ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team and across acute and community settings.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with proven interpersonal and negotiation skills, inclusive of highly developed skills in computer literacy with word processing and database programs.
• An ability to provide leadership along with extensive expertise in teaching and education and evidence of participation in research and quality activities.

Evidence of a current Class C drivers licence and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances within the MLHD.
