About the role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join the team at the Dubbo Community Dental Clinic. This role provides chairside assistance to dental clinicians and general support to the dental team, including instrument reprocessing, infection control, reception, and administrative duties. You will play an important role in delivering high quality oral health services and ensuring a positive experience for patients across a variety of clinical settings.
Based in Dubbo, the Community Dental Clinic operates six dental chairs and provides outreach services to rural communities and schools through both fixed and mobile clinics. The successful applicant will assist with a broad range of dental procedures, maintain high infection control standards, support administrative functions, and participate in outreach services that may involve long-distance travel and occasional overnight stays. This position works a 9-day fortnight with no weekend work, offering an excellent work-life balance.
To be successful, you will hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent) and/or have significant recent experience as a Dental Assistant. You will demonstrate strong chairside assisting skills, sound knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing safe, patient-centred care. A current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel are essential. What you'll be doing
The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and administrative assistance in all aspects of dentistry within the guidelines set by the Dental Assistants State Award.

You are a qualified Dental Assistant with a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience, bringing the knowledge, skills, and professionalism required to provide high-quality support to dental clinicians across a diverse patient population. About the role
The Nurse Manager role is a multifaceted position that supports the Health Service Manager, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, residents, patients, visitors, and staff of the Collarenebri Multipurpose Health Service in accordance with Western NSW Local Health District policies, procedures, and values.
The role requires strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively support, motivate, and develop staff while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. The Nurse Manager must understand the importance of working within allocated budgets and maintaining safe staffing levels in accordance with approved Full Time Equivalent (FTE) allocations. This position will be split between two days Management duties and three days Clinical duties and is on a rotating roster. The Nurse Manager will also undertake Clinical duties to support the delivery of an efficient and effective service within the Health Service.
Key responsibilities include coordinating and completing clinical and operational audits, developing quality improvement plans, and supporting accreditation processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practice requirements.

What you’ll be doing
The CNC collaborates closely with the emergency department, inpatient wards, mental health inpatient units, and community alcohol and other drug providers to ensure integrated, seamless care pathways, including effective discharge planning and referral. The role also builds the capability of hospital and inpatient mental health staff through mentoring, education and participation in quality improvement and clinical governance activities, aligning practice with the NSW Health Hospital Drug & Alcohol Consultation Liaison Model of Care and the NSW Health Clinical Care Standards for Alcohol and Other Drugs Treatment.
Candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:
- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, AHPRA)
- Minimum of five years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least three years in the drug and alcohol specialty, and postgraduate qualifications relevant to the field

In a key worker capacity, you will coordinate care across the four core pathways of care:
• Brief Interventions
• Specialist Assessment
• Care Coordination
• Rehabilitation and Recovery
You will ensure consumers receive timely, responsive, and recovery-oriented support tailored to their needs at each stage of their care journey.
Working in partnership with consumers, carers, and families, you will provide culturally safe, trauma-informed, and least restrictive care within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and deliver care as a key worker across the four care pathways and care observation levels.
• Undertake mental health triage and comprehensive clinical assessments.
• Monitor efficacy of medications and screen for side effects.
• Develop collaborative care plans and safety plans
• Provide therapeutic interventions within the community setting
• Conduct metabolic monitoring, including physical health assessments in line with best practice guidelines.
• Administer long-acting depot injections through the Depot Clinic
• Provide relief support within Clozapine (Clopine) Clinics as required
• Facilitate seamless transitions between inpatient and community services
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and safe clinical practice

About the role

This role involves rotating shift work including night duty.
The team consists of registered nurses, endorsed enrolled nurses and assistant in nursing.
The town of Coolah is surrounded by national park land. The town is situated approximately 1hour 30minutes from Dubbo &Mudgee.
The work is varied with emergency presentation, acute medical inpatient and residential aged care.
The team at Coolah care for each other and the successful applicant will working with all levels of nursing.
Workplace orientation is provided. Education is available both virtually and face to face. This is supported by Clinical nurse educators.

In addition, tertiary nursing qualification in Alcohol and Other Drugs or current enrolment or commitment to enrol in an approved postgraduate course with in the next 12 months is mandatory.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in alcohol and other drug services including but not limited to health and social impacts of substance abuse, dependence, harm minimisation and evidence-based AOD interventions.
- Demonstrated skills and ability to conduct and apply scientific research and evidence-based practice to the workplace with the ability to critically, problem solve and link outcomes to the principles of continuous quality improvement in the alcohol and other drugs specialty field.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal and computer skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven clinical leadership and clinical supervision capabilities with the ability to provide consultant advice, education and support to individuals, their families, AOD clinicians and other health professionals.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, present and evaluate education, clinical procedures and policies to multidisciplinary teams.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide specialist clinical care within a well-established Alcohol and Other Drugs service. Your role will include conducting nursing assessments, administering Schedule 8 medications, supporting opioid treatment programs, developing and reviewing treatment plans, providing brief interventions and telehealth support, and assisting clients throughout their recovery journey.
You will work closely with medical officers, nurse practitioners, prescribers, and Community Health and Mental Health clinicians to deliver safe, evidence-based and client-centred care. The role also involves coordinating referrals, supporting follow-up care, and contributing to prescriber clinics to ensure clients receive seamless access to the services they need.
Banksia Clinic offers a structured and supportive working environment with scheduled appointments, a strong multidisciplinary team, and comprehensive orientation, mentoring and professional development opportunities. What you'll be doing
The Enrolled Nurse works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, to provide person-centered care, in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve people focused quality care.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct nursing practice in a manner that respects the rights of individuals and groups in the context of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the capacity to identify and resolve conflict situations by managing own emotional responses and interacting with others in a personable and professional manner.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Knowledge of and ability to work within a person-centered approach to nursing with a willingness to embrace change in the delivery of care.

You are skilled in advanced assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex presentations, including menopause, contraception, pregnancy choice, and broader sexual and reproductive health concerns. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you apply sound clinical judgement and contemporary best practice to provide safe, compassionate, and individualised care that recognises the unique needs of each person.
A respected leader and educator, you are passionate about supporting the growth and development of colleagues through mentoring, clinical guidance, and the use of effective teaching and learning strategies. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to build trusting relationships with consumers, multidisciplinary teams, and community stakeholders while fostering a collaborative approach to healthcare delivery.
