What you'll be doing
The Assistant in Nursing provides nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
About You
You are a compassionate and dedicated Health Services Assistant with a strong commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care to patients and their families. Through your qualification in Health Services Assistance or ongoing nursing studies, you have developed practical clinical skills and a solid understanding of basic nursing care, enabling you to confidently assist with personal care, activities of daily living, patient comfort measures, and the monitoring and reporting of vital signs.
You are particularly skilled at supporting patients receiving palliative and end-of-life care, demonstrating empathy, sensitivity, and professionalism when communicating with patients, families, and carers during challenging times. Your caring approach allows you to identify individual needs, provide meaningful support, and communicate relevant observations and concerns to the supervising Registered Nurse to ensure the delivery of safe and responsive care.
A strong team player, you work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare environments and consistently embody the values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect, and Empowerment. You are confident working under delegation, taking responsibility for tasks within your scope of practice once competency has been assessed, while recognising when to seek guidance and escalate concerns appropriately.
Committed to patient safety and quality care, you apply infection prevention and control principles in all aspects of your work and maintain accurate clinical documentation using electronic health systems. Your attention to detail, effective communication skills, and dedication to delivering compassionate care enable you to make a positive contribution to both patient experiences and healthcare outcomes.

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the position of the Career Medical Officer (CMO) is to provide independent, High Level Medical Care clinical review, and decision-making for medically stable patients awaiting discharge or transfer. The role also includes safe prescribing, supervision, and management of iron infusions and other infusion therapies delivered within the transit lounge.
This position supports efficient patient flow, optimises bed availability, and ensures high standards of patient safety and experience.

About the opportunity
Seeking a motivated and experienced General Medicine and Gastroenterologist to join our friendly and professional team, who maintain an excellent work/life balance in the country.
The successful applicant will participate in a 1-in-8 general medicine on-call roster. They will assist in the gathering and analysis of general medical ward data and outcomes. They will have responsibility for the care of medical outlier patients and general medical consultations, including ortho-geriatric consults, when not on-call, and will participate in a rapid access medical clinic.

The Community Nursing service receives referrals from the Emergency department, GP, and other Hospitals. The successful candidate will be required to complete comprehensive assessments, assist with developing plan of care, attend Regular Case review meetings.
The $110.2 million Cowra Hospital Redevelopment is now complete. The new hospital delivers modern, purpose-built facilities to meet the health needs of Cowra and surrounding communities, both now and into the future.
The new hospital includes:
•An Emergency Department.
•A general medical and surgical inpatient ward.
•A peri-operative service for various surgical procedures.
•A maternity unit with a dedicated nursery.
•Ambulatory care for outpatients.
•An oral health clinic.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for delivering specialist nursing care and leading development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery to provide effective quality care for patients with complex care needs for the new dedicated inpatient withdrawal management beds. (Port Macquarie Base Hospital).
The position will take a leadership role while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and act as a clinical expert, professional role model and change agent to promote practice development and quality initiatives that promote safe, efficient, and high-quality care. The position will work closely with the treating medical teams and patient flow manager to ensure efficient and safe bed management
About You
You are an experienced Drug and Alcohol Clinical Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, supported by relevant postgraduate qualifications and significant experience working within the alcohol and other drugs sector. You are passionate about delivering evidence-based, person-centred care and have a strong understanding of contemporary withdrawal management practices, comprehensive assessment, and therapeutic interventions that support individuals experiencing substance use concerns.
Your advanced clinical skills and sound judgement enable you to effectively assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for consumers with complex needs. You are committed to delivering treatment that aligns with best practice guidelines while embracing the principles of harm minimisation and trauma-informed care to promote safety, dignity, and positive health outcomes.
As a confident and collaborative clinician, you work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams, building strong relationships with consumers, families, carers, and healthcare professionals. Your excellent communication skills, combined with proficiency in clinical information systems and documentation, support effective care coordination, clinical decision-making, and continuity of care.
You are dedicated to professional excellence and continuous improvement, taking an active role in mentoring colleagues, sharing clinical expertise, and supporting the development of high-performing teams. Through your leadership and commitment to service improvement, you contribute to initiatives that enhance clinical practice, strengthen service delivery, and improve outcomes for people accessing drug and alcohol treatment services.

What you'll be doing
The Registered Nurse using best practice evidence delivers person-centered nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team. Provides supervision and support for less experienced clinicians to achieve people focused quality care.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and with recent clinical experience with minimum 3 years Post Graduate Acute Hospital based and/or experience in Critical Care Hospital areas desirable but not essential.
Demonstrated effective professional verbal and written communication within a diverse multidisciplinary team.
