This is a unique opportunity to join the well-established Obstetric Medicine department at the Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney. The Royal is one of Australia's foremost specialist hospitals for women and babies and is the principal teaching hospital for the University of NSW. It is a dynamic institution within the Randwick Health and Innovation Precinct, colocated with the Prince of Wales Hospital, and is in close proximity to the University of New South Wales, the Sydney Children's Hospital, Mothersafe and a number of Research Institutes with a priority focus on Women's Health across the Lifespan.
The Obstetric Medicine team works closely with a busy Maternal-Fetal Medicine service and the RHW Fertility service, as well as providing support to all Maternity Care providers and tertiary services throughout NSW. With 3,000 deliveries annually, the obstetric medicine team provides both inpatient and outpatient care for women with medical disorders in pregnancy, along with general medicine care for the Gynaecology and Gynae-Oncology departments. The successful applicant will be well supported by the current physicians to participate in general obstetric medicine and diabetes in pregnancy clinics, along with services including preconception counselling/telehealth, and will participate in the inpatient and after-hours on-call roster. Clinical research opportunities and educational opportunities are available through the University of New South Wales and the SESLHD Women's Health Research Initiatives.
The Obstetric Medicine Staff Specialist will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the Maternity and Gynaecology Services Divisions.

The Obstetric Medicine Service is seeking for a Staff Specialist to work at the Royal Hospital for Women. This is an exciting opportunity for committed individual to broaden their experience in Obstetric Medicine.
The RHW is a tertiary teaching hospital providing state-wide Maternity, Gynaecology, Gynaecology Oncology, Endogynaecology, Fertility (including IVF), Newborn Care services and Mental Health Services. The Senior Medical Officer will work closely with the RHW Maternity, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynaecology and Gynaecological Oncology Departments.
The successful candidate may be eligible for a conjoint appointment to the Prince of Wales Clinical School with the UNSW Faculty of Medicine. The level of the appointment will be determined by qualifications and experience.
The applicant must be dedicated to a teamwork philosophy and be able to demonstrate their ability to work as a team member within the facility.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.

Selection Criteria
- Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in Anatomical Pathology, and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award. Applicants expected to receive Fellowship with RCPA by September 2026 are eligible to apply.
- Demonstrated commitment to basic, applied or clinical research and/or medical education and staff training.
- Proven ability to work as a team member with effective communication, interpersonal skills and adaptability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.

- Holds tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Social work, or post graduate qualification in Psychology (with Area or Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology) and extensive specialist experience including a minimum 3 years experience in mental health. Full AHPRA registration (OT) or eligibility for membership to AASW.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of and skills in recovery oriented services and consumer involvement in service design, implementation and evaluation.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, time management and computing skills, and current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).

An exciting opportunity is available for committed and enthusiastic Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join the expanding Child, Youth and Family Mental Health (CYF-MH) stream within Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD).
This is an opportunity to work across a diverse and innovative range of specialist child, youth and family mental health services, delivering high quality psychiatric assessments, treatment, consultation and leadership to children, adolescents, young people and families experiencing complex mental health difficulties.
The successful applicant will contribute to service delivery across the CYF-MH portfolio, notably to Safeguards, Whole Family Team and/or the Youth Mental Health Initiative. These teams support young people and their families and include an emphasis on timely crisis-related care and systems-level engagement.
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will provide medical leadership within team settings and work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers, partner agencies and lived experience workers to deliver recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, family-inclusive and evidence-informed care. The successful applicant will participate in complex clinical decision-making, service development, quality improvement activities and workforce development through supervision, teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff and students.
CYF-MH is undergoing significant growth and includes a broad range of specialist programs and emerging models of care. CYF-MH provides specialist services to children, young people and their families across the Penrith, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and Lithgow Local Government Areas. We are seeking an emotionally intelligent, client centred, passionate and enthusiastic Senior Mental Health Clinician to join the Nurturing Connections Team.
Nurturing Connections is a parent-child relationship program which aims to improve outcomes for children and families through evidence-based assessment and intervention for caregivers and their infants and young children.
The Senior Mental Health Clinician position will work with caregivers experiencing significant mental health challenges, and other parental stressors (e.g. substance use, DV, trauma, etc), who are pregnant or caring for a child up to age 5, where there are impacts on the caregivers ability to establish an early attachment relationship with their infant/child. The Nurturing Connections multi-disciplinary team will work within the community and across government and non-government organisations. The clinician will use high levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge to support families engaged in the service. They will plan, coordinate, and implement high quality mental health care one-on-one with parents/caregivers/children, as well as support and work with whole families, facilitate therapeutic group programs.
If you are an overseas qualified Social Worker, you are required to have your qualifications assessed by the AASW to meet the position criteria.

This position will involve home visiting and travel to other sites across SESLHD.

- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, and development of education tools or programs to support others in providing service excellence.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
- Demonstrated experience in providing advice to managers on clinical service development, practice change and service redesign.
- Current unrestricted NSW drivers licence and willingness to travel.

The Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 (CNS2) mental health provides a high standard of care in the assessment & management of mental health issues as well as discharge planning and transfer of care.

This position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current NSW driver's licence.
- Three years full-time experience working in mental health and post-graduate qualification in mental health.
Our Service and Team
Custodial Mental Health (CMH) is a specialist mental health service within the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network that provides a range of mental health services to adults in NSW correctional centres.
CMH includes a specialist mental health team with mental health nurses (MHNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), Aboriginal Mental Health Clinicians, psychiatrists, career medical officers (CMOs), and psychiatry registrars who are supported by administrative and managerial staff.
CMH clinicians work alongside staff from other clinical streams and CSNSW staff, including Psychology, Offender Services and Programs, and Custodial Operations staff in the provision of mental health services. Mental health services begin at the point of reception and continue through to release from custody or transfer to another correctional centre.

Whatyou'llbe doing
In this senior hospitalist role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive medical assessment and management of patients across Emergency, inpatient wards, oncology,and infusion clinic.
- Work alongside GP ED VMOs to assess emergency presentations, stabilise and transfer admitted patients, and ensure high quality, safe clinical care.
- Undertake daily ward rounds, manage inpatients, lead discharge planning, and coordinate care pathways.
- Deliver basic and advanced resuscitation, arrange retrievals and referrals, and provide confident decision making in acute care settings
- Offer clinical oversight across the facility and provide leadership, supervision, and teaching to GP registrars, JMOs, and medical students.
- Participate in the on call roster and support other MLHD sites if credentialed.
- Contribute to high quality documentation, patient management planning, and use of clinical information systems.

Remuneration and incentives
Remuneration depends on your appointment type, award classification, and scope of practice. The figures below are indicative only and represent what may be earned under applicable NSW Health awards and local arrangements.
Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) GP
Earn up to $247.30/hour (GP rate + practice rate), equating to $474,816 + super for eligible contracts (based on 40 hrs/week for 48 weeks).
Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Specialist
Earn up to $275.85/hour (Specialist rate + practice rate), equating to $529,632 + super for eligible contracts (based on 40 hrs/week for 48 weeks).
Or progress to Senior Specialist VMO rates, earning up to $293.75/hour, which equates to $564,000 + super (based on 40 hrs/week for 48 weeks).
Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) - Fee For Service & RDSP
Fee for Service and Rural Doctors Settlement Package (RDSP) arrangements follow the Visiting Medical Officer (State) Award and the Public Hospitals VMO Determination.
Payments are based on item numbers, service volumes, and rural loadings rather than a fixed hourly or annual figure.

The Speech Pathologist plays a critical specialist role within this multidisciplinary model. The position is responsible for delivering high level clinical expertise to families with complex needs, with a focus on communication, feeding, early language development, and parent-infant interaction.

This temporary full-time maternity leave backfill opportunity offers the chance to provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership while driving excellence in patient care, workforce development, service innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration. What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead a dedicated Speech Pathology team providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient services.
- Provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership across Speech Pathology services.
- Support excellence in patient care through the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred services.
- Drive workforce development, service innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with clinicians, managers and medical teams to promote best practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.
The successful applicant will be an experienced and collaborative Speech Pathologist with demonstrated leadership capability, advanced clinical expertise in adult services and a passion for mentoring staff and shaping service development within a dynamic healthcare environment. You Will Bring:
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead, motivate and support a high-performing Speech Pathology team.
- Extensive clinical expertise in acute adult Speech Pathology services, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly developed organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex healthcare environment.
- A genuine passion for workforce development, mentoring staff and driving service improvement and innovation.

- Discipline specific tertiary qualifications as accepted by professional association.
- Advanced skills working with adults with communication and swallowing impairments in the acute setting including instrumental assessments and tracheostomy management.
- Demonstrated experience leading staff and team performance
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in service management functions
- Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process
Demonstrated high level communication skills (oral and written) including advocacy and negotiation skills.

This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata'd to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

What you'll be doingProvide quality Dietetic care to the Mental Health Inpatient services in the Broken Hill Health Service, including the Mental Health Inpatient Unit (MHIPU) and Mental health Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre (MHPARC).
Monitor metabolic parameters and social factors that may impact on the client's nutritional status
Demonstrate professional knowledge of recovery concepts and principles and commitment to facilitate recovery for consumers
Maintain nutritional knowledge and skills in mental health disorders to provide nutritional care which is in line with evidence-based practice
Work with the multidisciplinary team, food services, consumers, families and carers to ensure diet plans are suitable and realistic

- Bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, enabling eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Australia and at least 3 years clinical experience as a dietitian.
- Knowledge and understanding of current nutrition and dietetic best practice, including dietetics issues specific to the mental health setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and provide dietetic assessment and interventions in a mental health setting.
- Understanding of the principles of mental health recovery and demonstrated experience and skills in care planning and working collaboratively with consumers, families and carers.
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver educational groups to consumers, families and carers.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate with colleagues, consumers, families, carers and service partners.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Class C Driver's License and willingness to travel for work purposes.
