What You'll Be DoingThe NSW Newborn Screening (NBS) Programme, situated in The Children's Hospital at Westmead, includes the State Reference Laboratory which screens all newborns in NSW and the ACT for the detection of over 30 inborn errors of metabolism. The Department also provides an advisory service for the further investigation, monitoring and management of patients detected with a disorder by the screening tests, as well as specialised services to interstate and overseas reference laboratories.
The PSO for NBS will be responsible for the quality and performance of all aspects of the NBS laboratory and will be the scientific representative of the laboratory at state, national and international levels. They should have a thorough knowledge of the scientific aspects of newborn screening and be abreast of technology changes in order to be able to bring innovation into the laboratory.
They will be expected to drive the development of services to meet the needs of the customer and to manage and implement change in accordance with quality principles.
The Principal Scientist will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team and consumers of the Sydney Children's Hospital Network to effectively deliver services.
The Principal Scientist provides role modelling, mentorship and leadership in the achievement of excellence in clinical practice, ensuring that Departmental:

CAMHS is a specialist service providing assessment, treatment, and care coordination for children and young people aged 0-17 years experiencing moderate to severe mental health concerns across Hunter New England Local Health District. Our New England North West CAMHS clinicians provide support to young people living across the region. You'll have clients located at your base site, and at neighbouring sites. The Opportunity As a Mental Health Clinician with CAMHS, you will provide discipline specific mental health assessments, treatment, and care coordination services for children, adolescents, and their families or carers. Working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists/Clinical Psychologists in Training, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Nurses, and a Dietitian to deliver high-quality, family-centred care.
Our service offers specialist child, adolescent, and family-based mental health interventions, including individual, dyadic, and family therapy. You'll contribute your professional expertise while working collaboratively with colleagues across the broader CAMHS network, with access to regular supervision, ongoing professional development, and opportunities to expand your clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering discipline specific specialist mental health assessments, evidence-based interventions, and case management for children, young people, and their families or carers.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist psychiatric care, oversight and leadership within a dedicated, multidisciplinary team to deliver care to people living with serious mental health challenges.
About The RoleYou will be a senior medical member of the Adult Community Mental Health Service (ACMHS), a multidisciplinary team based service that includes specialist mental health nurses (including a GP liaison CNC), psychologists, allied health clinicians, and peer support workers. You will be working in a service alongside other senior medical officers, and psychiatry trainees. The goals of the ACMHS is to deliver consumer-focused, contemporary and meaningful care that meets the needs of consumers across several phases of care. Our ability to provide care coordination to consumers with
varied needs is supported by the many specialist facets of our service.
Our team based model is founded on the principles of collaborative and shared decision making between the senior medical member, clinical manager and team clinicians. Our teams are headed by a clinical manager, who works closely with the psychiatrist and clinicians to co-ordinates the multidisciplinary team activities. The ESMHS has 5 teams across two sites, and your position will be to provide leadership and clinical care in one of these teams. You are encouraged to work with your clinical manager and team to develop your own ways of working.
Our Adult Community teams are also supported by close linkages with other teams and NGOs. Consumers can engage with secondary support teams such as the Keeping Body in Mind (KBIM) teams, complex physical health clinicians, rehabilitation clinicians, and Pathways to Community Living (PCLI) initiatives.
Your Clinical Duties Will Encompass- Providing leadership, expert psychiatric evaluation, care and treatment planning in the Adult Community Mental Health Service.
- There is also opportunity to contribute to our ECT service and develop skills in this area.
- Actively participating in multidisciplinary team discussions in clinical review meetings.
- Liaising with inpatient and emergency psychiatry teams to ensure continuity of care and to facilitate transitions between areas of the service over your consumers journey.
- Providing oversight around use of the Mental Health Act in the community setting.
- Leading service improvement projects focused on optimising care in the community setting and during transitions of care between different settings.
- Evaluating clinical interventions to improve patient outcomes, reduce restrictive practices, increase connection with GP care, and support safer transitions of care.
- Contributing to the academic profile of the service through scholarly activity and collaboration with local research institutes and universities.

The General Medicine department at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick are seeking 2 x 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) Staff Specialists to join their team. The appointment will be for a 2-year period, with an option of extending for a further 2 years pending a performance review. What you'll be doing
Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, part of the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, is seeking the services of a paediatrician to provide short periods of leave relief to rural paediatricians across NSW. The "back to base" time is flexible and can be negotiated to complement the successful applicant's interests and skills and support their professional development. Just over half of the time will be spent in rural NSW, with the remainder of the time linked with the General Paediatric Department of the successful applicant's choice of one of the Children's Hospitals in NSW.
This is a 0.5 FTE temporary Staff Specialist position, for two years with the option to extend for a further two years pending performance review.
Successful applicants will provide excellent clinical services to children and their families as part of a multi-disciplinary team. They will participate in review and improvement activities, as well as training and education of staff. Successful applicants will be expected to abide by the hospital code of conduct and participate in annual performance reviews for clinical services in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.

About The RoleMental Health Intensive Care Unit (MHICU) is a NSLHD MHDA facility that accommodates 12 Psychiatric Intensive Care beds. The MHICU provides intensive assessment and management of consumers requiring mental health care who exhibit acute and high levels of clinical risk, present with diagnostic and management complexity or experience acute symptomology of a mental illness/disorder. The MHICU provides multi-disciplinary treatment and support within a recovery orientated and trauma informed care framework in an environment that cannot be provided in general acute in-patient units
Purpose of the PositionThe MHICU unit clinical director will provide clinical management and treatment of patients under their care in a Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) facility or service. This care will be provided within the scope of practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC). The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD and will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within the District.
Selection Criteria- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist and/or overseas trained substantial specialist pathways. Applicants expecting to be awarded their FRANZCP within 3 months may be considered.

What You'll Be DoingThe purpose of this position is performing Medical Imaging procedures to a high standard, and ensuring that the production of diagnostic imaging is made available to the clinician. Provide Medical Imaging to a high diagnostic quality, performing complex clinical procedure with a high degree of competency. The Sonographer will need to maintain safety in the unit and the specific techniques involved in a specialist area and maintain current knowledge of all advanced ultrasound practices.
The Senior Sonographer Will- be responsible for keeping accurate records and providing evidence for the submission of DIAS and NSQHS accreditation.
- evaluate and audit work quality, manage staff performance and appraisals, accelerate performance concerns as needed, and allocate staff to ensure service coverage.
- complete all mandatory training and participate in development activities as required by management, while actively developing and pursuing ongoing self-improvement in collaboration with leadership

The Midwifery Unit Manager 1 (MUM) is a clinical MUM co-ordinator role and provides clinical leadership and day to day coordination of the Postnatal Services at the Royal Hospital for Women (RHW) in collaboration with the MUM 3 who has overall management responsibility for Postnatal Services.
The MUM 1 is responsible for the daily clinical co-ordination and, the allocation of women admitted to the Postnatal Unit. The MUM 1 assists the MUM 3 to lead, plan and evaluate the service. The MUM 1 will work collaboratively with the MUM 3 to effectively manage resources and ensure optimal outcomes for women and babies by promoting best practice through support, allocation and supervision of staff on a day to day basis.
The MUM 1, in partnership with the MUM 3 participates in the recruitment and performance development of staff and functions within the policies and procedures of the NSW Ministry of Health, SESLHD, RHW and the Maternity Division.
The purpose of the MUM 1 for Postnatal Services is to direct, allocate and co-ordinate care of women and babies and, ensure the practice of midwifery care is safe and efficient, maintaining standards of care through continual audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Armidale Rural Referral Hospital Armidale Hospital is a ninety nine bed facility providing a comprehensive range of services including acute medical and surgical services, obstetrics, paediatrics and a range of diagnostic and allied health services. A busy emergency department, a Level 3 Close Observation Unit, mental health unit and renal dialysis unit. The referral community of the area is 55,200. Adult Medical services include respiratory, cardiac, chemotherapy, renal and palliative care. Surgical services include general, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology and ophthalmology. The hospital is a spacious, modern and well-equipped with the most recent development opening in 2019.
