An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced Laboratory Manager to take up a full-time role as a Senior Hospital Scientist I/C of our Microbiology department at John Hunter Hospital. The John Hunter Hospital is located in Newcastle - famous for surf beaches and ocean pools, world class restaurants, buzzing nightlife, spectacular coastal walks and fascinating galleries & museums.
What You'll Be DoingResponsible for managing the laboratory to provide an efficient and effective service across operational management, compliance management, financial planning and reporting, department performance monitoring and reporting, corporate risk management, human resources management and strategic planning.

- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service with a high level of interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and interact professionally with a diverse range of people at all levels.
