What's the role?The role of GP is to provide primary continuing comprehensive medical care to individuals, families and for the community of Kintore. The GP is responsible for providing a competent culturally safe client-centred care that addresses health needs, promotes wellness and to ensure that the standard of care is maintained at the highest level in accordance with PHHS policy and procedures, latest evidence and guidelines, and relevant legislation and standards.
Key responsibilities include:- Provide high quality, primary health care services to the community, in keeping with best practice standards.
- Undertake ultimate responsibility and/or autonomy for all clinical decisions regarding his/her patients.
- Provide appropriate care and services to patients of all age ranges and level of health care needs. Respond to medical/ health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate.
- Provide after hours, on call and other services as applicable.
- Provide management of long-term conditions in line with national guidelines and pathways. Prescribe for patients as appropriate to need.
- Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care advice to all patients attending the practice.
- Ordering diagnostic tests as required.
- Referring patients to other providers as appropriate.
- Providing care off site (including house calls) when this is in a patient's best interest or when this improves access for a group of patients.
- Specialist General Practitioner registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
- Availability to travel by air and/or road on a regular basis
- National Police Clearance
- Ability to obtain and hold a "Working with Children" NT Ochre card throughout the duration of employment.
Located approximately 530 kilometres west of Alice Springs, Kintore is a unique and culturally rich community in the Pintupi Homelands.
With a population of approximately 450 people, predominantly Pintupi, Kintore has a strong connection to culture, Country and community. Pintupi/Luritja is the main language spoken, with several other Aboriginal languages also spoken.
For many community members, English is a third or fourth language. This creates an opportunity for health professionals to develop a deeper understanding of culturally safe healthcare and the importance of communication, trust and relationships in delivering effective care.

About the Role:Neami National, in partnership with Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, is delivering the Alice Springs Medicare Mental Health Centre (ASMMHC) to provide free, accessible mental health support to adults in the Alice Springs community.
We are seeking a passionate Mental Health Clinician to join this innovative service.
You will provide high-quality assessment, intervention and collaborative care planning for people experiencing mental health crisis. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support guests through their mental health journey using Cultural Safety, Trauma-Informed Care, Recovery-Oriented Practice and Collaborative Relational Practice.

Key Responsibilities:- Build trusting and professional relationships with guests and provide comprehensive clinical assessments
- Develop collaborative, person-centred care and safety plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic support over the short to medium term
- Provide culturally appropriate support and utilise interpreters where required
- Provide outreach support while maintaining safe work practices
- Work collaboratively with guests, families, carers, clinicians and lived experience staff
- Support effective intake, referral, escalation and exit planning
- Maintain strong partnerships with community, emergency and mental health services
- Contribute to service evaluation, quality improvement, research and development
- Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in service data collection
You will be a qualified mental health professional who brings strong clinical skills, a recovery-focused approach and a genuine commitment to person-centred care.
Essential:- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or Occupational Therapy
- Current professional registration with AHPRA or eligibility for AASW membership for Social Workers
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Valid Police Check
- Proven clinical experience in mental health service deliveryDemonstrated experience applying recovery-based approaches
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong report writing and clinical documentation skills
- Experience working across Commonwealth and/or State-funded mental health programs
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with government, non-government, emergency and community services

We are currently seeking an Outreach Clinician to join the headspace Katherine team and deliver youth-focused mental health support to young people aged 12-25. This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice with community engagement, remote outreach, and culturally informed service delivery.
- Part-time, 6-month contract - 4 days per week - $95,272.85 - $98,789.69

In this role, you will:
- Provide clinical assessments, brief interventions, SST, and family-inclusive support
- Deliver services in Katherine and remote Aboriginal communities
- Work collaboratively with our Social & Emotional Wellbeing Worker and multidisciplinary team
- Promote mental health literacy through workshops, presentations, and youth engagement activities
- Build strong relationships with local Elders, community leaders, schools, and service providers
- Ensure services are culturally safe, trauma-informed, and responsive to community needs
You will be an experienced, youth-focused clinician who is passionate about working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
You will bring:- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Psychology, Social Work, OT) and professional registration
- Minimum 2 years' experience in youth mental health, ideally in outreach or community settings
- Skills in clinical assessment, brief interventions, and high-quality documentation
- Experience working respectfully in remote Aboriginal communities
- Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to diverse groups
- Ability to work independently, manage time well, and build strong community partnerships
- NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
- National Police Check (within 3 months)
- NT Driver's Licence
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to meet visa/overseas worker compliance requirements
