Overview
At the heart of remote South Australia, Mid-Eyre Medical Practice is where healthcare meets community. If you're someone who finds genuine satisfaction in keeping things running smoothly so that clinicians can focus on patients, this casual Medical Receptionist role within the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) could be a great fit.
What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Medical Practice Co-ordinator, you'll be an essential part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering medical, allied health, and primary health care services to the Mid-Eyre community. Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing front-of-house reception, patient bookings, and appointment scheduling with accuracy and care
- Providing timely administrative, clerical, and financial support to practitioners, management, and health unit committees
- Processing billing, Medicare claims, and financial transactions in line with SA Health policies
- Supporting staff and management with correspondence, record keeping, and reporting requirements
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in a reception or administrative role, ideally within a health or community services setting
- Confident working knowledge of medical practice software and general office systems
- Strong communication skills and a calm, considered manner when working with patients and clinical staff
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a shared-service environment without compromising accuracy
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, Medicare billing and health fund processes in line with EFNLHN requirements
- A commitment to culturally respectful service delivery for the diverse communities across the Eyre and Far North region

What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Medical Practice Co-ordinator, you'll be an essential part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering medical, allied health, and primary health care services to the Mid-Eyre community. Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing front-of-house reception, patient bookings, and appointment scheduling with accuracy and care
- Providing timely administrative, clerical, and financial support to practitioners, management, and health unit committees
- Processing billing, Medicare claims, and financial transactions in line with SA Health policies
- Supporting staff and management with correspondence, record keeping, and reporting requirements

- Demonstrated experience in a reception or administrative role, ideally within a health or community services setting
- Confident working knowledge of medical practice software and general office systems
- Strong communication skills and a calm, considered manner when working with patients and clinical staff

Join the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) CenSTaR Direct Care Worker Candidate Pool, and provide care to residents and patients across YNLHN sites.
About the Role
As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily living needs, delivering compassionate, person-centred care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal hygiene, bathing, showering, dressing and grooming, as well as supporting toileting and continence care. You will also assist residents with meals and hydration, and support safe mobility through transfers and the use of mechanical lifting aids where required.
In addition, you will contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment by completing tasks such as bed making, cleaning and sanitising equipment and utensils, and managing the distribution of laundry and personal clothing. You will observe and report on resident wellbeing, contribute to basic assessments, and assist in identifying individual and group diversional therapy needs. Accurate documentation and adherence to established policies and procedures are essential.

- A Certificate III qualification in Individual Support or equivalent (relevant to the role)
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and support colleagues
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse clients

Working alongside Enrolled and Registered Nurses, you'll assist with personal care, basic clinical tasks, and help prepare for procedures while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment.
You'll play a key role in creating a positive, respectful experience for residents and clients, contributing to both their physical wellbeing and a culturally safe setting. With guidance from a collaborative care team, you'll follow established standards and protocols while building your skills in a supportive healthcare environment.
Essential Criteria
To be eligible to apply, you must be:
- Enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or midwifery and have completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level; OR
- Employed on the basis that the person is, or will be, undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled Nurses; OR
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in one of the following health related disciplines:
- Basic Health Care;
- Aged Care;
- Health Services Assistance: (Qualifications to include elective units recommended for AIN Acute care);
- Home and Community Care;
- Individual Support Work;
- Or such other nationally recognised courses approved within the healthcare setting by full agreement of DHA and the ANMF

Midwifery Group Practice - Grow your skills, and support the community
Overview
The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network are currently seeking Midwives to join their CenSTaR Candidate Pool 2026/2027.
YNLHN offers an all-risk Midwifery Group Practice, enabling midwives to work autonomously within a continuity of care caseload model. Our MGP model is recognised for its high levels of professional satisfaction and strong clinical support, allowing you to work to the full scope of your midwifery practice while delivering truly woman-centred care.
About the Role
As an MGP Midwife, you will provide continuity of care across the entire maternity journey, including:
- Antenatal care and clinics from 12–14 weeks
- Intrapartum care
- Postnatal care in hospital and at home
- Collaborative multidisciplinary clinics
- Lactation support

- Smaller sites: Jamestown, Crystal Brook

- Recent midwifery practice across the full maternity continuum
- Strong clinical knowledge within woman-centred continuity models

Contribute to quality healthcare in Regional South Australia
Join the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) CenSTaR Direct Care Worker Candidate Pool, and provide care to residents and patients across YNLHN sites.
About the Role
As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily living needs, delivering compassionate, person-centred care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal hygiene, bathing, showering, dressing and grooming, as well as supporting toileting and continence care. You will also assist residents with meals and hydration, and support safe mobility through transfers and the use of mechanical lifting aids where required.
In addition, you will contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment by completing tasks such as bed making, cleaning and sanitising equipment and utensils, and managing the distribution of laundry and personal clothing. You will observe and report on resident wellbeing, contribute to basic assessments, and assist in identifying individual and group diversional therapy needs. Accurate documentation and adherence to established policies and procedures are essential.
What You'll Bring
- A Certificate III qualification in Individual Support or equivalent (relevant to the role)
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and support colleagues
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse clients
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and exercise sound judgement with limited direction
- Experience in providing direct care, ideally supporting aged, frail or disabled people
- Ability to manage deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and deliver quality outcomes

Overview

YNLHN offers an all-risk Midwifery Group Practice, enabling midwives to work autonomously within a continuity of care caseload model. About the Role
As an MGP Midwife, you will provide continuity of care across the entire maternity journey, including:
- Antenatal care and clinics from 12–14 weeks
- Intrapartum care

- Collaborative multidisciplinary clinics

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is available to join the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) as a Clinical Coder (Level 2) or Advanced Clinical Coder (Level 3) within the Health Information Management Service (HIMS) - a critical function that supports high-quality patient care, accurate data reporting, and sustainable health service delivery.
These casual roles offer more than flexibility. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your experience, strengthen your skills, and make a meaningful impact every day.
In these roles, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate translation of clinical documentation into ICD-10-AM (current edition), ensuring coded data is suitable for statistical analysis, epidemiology, hospital planning, research, and quality assurance. A key outcome of your work is the accurate assignment of Australian Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (AR-DRGs), which directly underpin Activity Based Funding (ABF) and inform organisational decision-making.
As a Clinical Coder (Level 2), you will apply your coding expertise to a broad range of clinical cases while contributing to team capability through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
As an Advanced Clinical Coder (Level 3), you will take the lead on complex and specialised cases, working closely with clinicians to clarify documentation and ensure coding accuracy at the highest level. In both roles, you will play an integral part in maintaining coding quality standards and supporting continuous improvement across the service.

YNLHN is seeking a dedicated Casual Catering Operator to join our team at Port Pirie Regional Health Service. This flexible role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to patient care through quality food service delivery.
What You'll Do:
Working across 7 days with various shifts from 7am-8pm, you'll play a vital role in delivering timely, efficient catering services. Your responsibilities include preparing vegetables, meat, salads, sandwiches and toast, operating kitchen equipment, and ensuring food trays and trolleys are ready for service. You'll assist with meal service, tea and coffee preparation, while maintaining clean, hygienic work areas and washing equipment.
What We're Looking For:
We need someone with catering experience and basic knowledge of Food Safety and Infection Control Standards. You'll demonstrate flexibility with rostering, work effectively independently or within teams, and meet tight timeframes. Join our team as a Clinical Nurse (Community Health Nursing) for our 2026/2027 Casual Pool intake! We're seeking dedicated individuals to deliver high-quality community-focused health services across our local health network.
As a Clinical Nurse in Community Health Nursing, you'll provide advanced nursing practices in primary healthcare, driving the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies and programs to achieve the optimal health outcomes for Community Health Nursing clients. You will also provide Palliative Care to clients and support carers and families in community setting when entering the terminal phase.
