Overview:
- The Assessment Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating and undertaking a range of complaint receipt, assessment and resolution functions and services for the Health and Community Services Complaints Commissioner (HCSCC).
- The role provides a responsive first point of contact service to consumers, clients and health services in relation to complaint enquiries under the Health and Community Services Complaints Act 2004 (SA) (the Act), including identify and analysing complex complaints and providing expert advice, assistance and information.
- The Assessment Officer also coordinates and conducts informal mediation, facilitated direct resolution, and basic preliminary enquiries including analysing a range of complaint related information, undertaking negotiation and facilitation processes with all parties and advising complainants and service providers of outcomes.

Take on a meaningful clinical role where your nursing expertise, professional judgement, and commitment to person-centred care will make a direct impact on the wellbeing of patients in our health service. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care, develop your clinical capability over time, and contribute to safe, effective service delivery within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. This role offers opportunities to expand your practice, build leadership skills, and support the development of students and less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess individual patient and client needs, and plan, implement, or coordinate appropriate care.
- Deliver direct person-centred nursing care and individual case management with increasing autonomy.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines and agencies to meet patient healthcare needs.
- Participate in quality improvement activities that promote safety, minimise risk, and support best practice.
- Provide ward or team coordination on a shift-by-shift basis where required.
- Contribute to managing challenging behaviours through appropriate procedures.
- Provide health promotion and education to patients, families, and carers.
- Support student learning, new staff orientation, and graduate preceptorship.
- Participate in evaluative research activities and apply evidence-based guidelines to improve outcomes.
- Offer guidance and review decisions made by students, Enrolled Nurses, and less experienced Registered Nurses.

- Are you a Registered Nurse (or eligible for registration) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or eligible to hold a current practising certificate?
- Do you have demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice, aligned with professional standards?

Position Profile: We are seeking suitably experienced, motivated & innovative team members, with excellent interpersonal & organisational skills to join the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Pharmacy Services team.
Regional Clinical Pharmacists assist in the promotion of safe, rational and cost effective drug therapy through the provision of clinical pharmacy services for hospital patients throughout the region. The services provided are to include but are not limited to completing the medication reconciliation process for admitted hospital patients, dispensing medications to patients, providing drug information to regional nursing and medical staff and making independent decisions on therapeutic strategies to optimize patient care.
The Senior Pharmacists are responsible for delivering safe, effective and high quality care through the provision of virtual clinical pharmacy services for patients throughout WACHS. These services include but are not limited to; virtual pharmacy for inpatients at WACHS sites without on-site pharmacist support, virtual training and upskilling of junior pharmacists in the regions, pharmacist led virtual outpatient clinics in the areas of visiting specialists, pre-admission, day infusions and palliative care. These positions will work closely with the WACHS-wide Pharmacy Services team and regional pharmacy departments to ensure best practice and patient centric care is delivered utilising modern, innovative and technologically advanced services.

About the role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Tissue Viability provides an advanced level wound assessment and management service as an expert in the specialty field and facilitates linkages and relationships with network hospitals (and affiliated services), nurses and medical officers (in the acute and community settings) to support the management of patients with acute, chronic and complex wounds.

Join the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Regional Community Nursing Casual Pool and make a meaningful difference to clients across a range of community health programs. You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care in areas such as post-acute care, palliative and end-of-life support, the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Community Home Link, Rapid Intensive Brokerage Service, and the Transition Care Program.
This role is essential to supporting a 7-day, out-of-hours service, ensuring timely care for clients and helping maintain continuity across our programs. About the role
As a Medical Scientist within the Virology / Serology / Molecular Diagnostic Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services that support patient care and public health. Working across multiple domains, you will apply your scientific knowledge and technical skills to perform a range of routine diagnostic techniques, contributing to problem definition, planning, execution, analysis and reporting. With the support of senior scientists, you will also assist in the training and supervision of technical staff, while having the opportunity to contribute to research and teaching activities within the Department.
This position offers an exciting pathway for growth and development, with the opportunity to build increasing expertise and exercise independent professional judgement as you progress through the MeS-1 level. You will contribute to the development and adoption of new methodologies, participate in continuous improvement, and support innovation in diagnostic science. On successful completion of a competency-based training program, and subject to experience and assessment, you may be eligible to progress to the MeS-2 level, opening further career opportunities within this dynamic and specialised field.
About You
You will be a qualified and motivated Medical Scientist who meets the NPAAC requirements for supervision in Clinical Governance of Medical Pathology Laboratories and is ready to contribute your expertise in diagnostic testing within a collaborative team environment.
