Career Medical Officer - Emergency Medicine & Hospital in the Home (HITH)
The main purpose of this position is to provide effective medical services to patients under supervision in a complex clinical environment.
The Career Medical Officer will gain experience in the management of unwell patients presenting to the Emergency Department. This role is for a period of 6 months in ED and 6 months in HITH.

Qualifications - External
Essential Requirements:
·MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
·Completion of at least two (2) postgraduate years of medical practice.
·Valid NSW Working with Children check.
·Cleared National Police check.
·Aged Care Check for Australian Government funded positions.
·To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy, this includes any amendments made from time to time.
·You must take all reasonable care for yourself and others and comply with any reasonable instruction, policies and procedures relating to work health safety and wellbeing.

6.Ability to equitably participate in the unit on-call roster with other medical practitioners as required and the ability to participate in a rotating roster including night duty.
7.Demonstrated active participation in and commitment to quality assurance and improvement activities.
8.Current licence to drive in NSW.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Visiting Medical Officer – Primary Care to join our service at the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.
We are looking for a qualified health care professional with:
·Current medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
·Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) OR Australasian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
·Proof of recognition as a specialist by the Specialists Recognition Advisory Committee Award.
·Demonstrated significant experience in General Practice with knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches in assessment and management of the broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
·Previous experience in emergency medicine, general practice, adult internal medicine, or rural medicine is an advantage.
The Visiting Medical Officer – Primary Care is responsible for the provision of general medical services to patients within correctional environments in Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network facilities. The position will work collaboratively with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM), Service Director Primary Care and Clinical Director Primary Care to enhance the existing services in line with organisational needs and best practice.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the above position in the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). This position will be located at Blacktown Hospital within the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The Blacktown O&G Department is busy level 5 maternity unit currently providing service for close to 4200 deliveries per year. The outpatient maternity and acute birthing service are supported by a gynaecological service with several weekly clinics and daily operating lists. The current senior staffing profile is a combination of Staff specialist and visiting medical officers.
It's a RANZCOG accredited training site.
Appointees my be eligible for credentialing and limited clinical privileges across other facilities in the Western Sydney Local Health District.
Successful applicants will have knowledge and expertise in the management of high risk and complex pregnancies, above the level of the Generalist O&G specialist. Have obstetric ultrasound skills above the level of Generalist O&G specialist. Have demonstrated commitment to provision high quality pregnancy care for women with a background of disadvantage and deprivation.
Applicants must have Australian Fellowship/Specialist Registration at time of applying.
Conditions of appointment are in accordance with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.

1. Qualifications and credentials required for core scope of practice in the specialty.

Remuneration
Remuneration is in accordance with the applicable NSW Health Visiting Medical Officer Award and contract arrangements.

Earn up to $247.30 per hour (GP rate plus practice rate), equivalent to approximately $474,816 plus superannuation for eligible contracts based on 40 hours per week over 48 weeks.

Fee-for-Service and Rural Doctors Settlement Package arrangements are available where applicable.

- Contributing to service improvement initiatives and supporting junior staff and students within the team

Advanced Clinical Prosthetist/Orthotist | Lead, Mentor & Innovate

About the role:
Reporting to the Director OPSA, this role provides high-quality advanced Prosthetic and Orthotic assessment, service planning, and direct clinical service provision as appropriate for clients who access Orthotics and Prosthetics South Australia (OPSA) and associated clinics.
Duties for the role will include:
- Providing assessment and best prosthetic/orthotic intervention; formulate treatment objectives and treatment plans for clients with complex pathologies;
- Consult in clinic advocacy for P&O input, acute and sub-acute
- Provides leadership and direction by liaising closely with relevant team members, concerning management of clients, contributing to harmonious workplace, effective conflict resolution within team where required
- Promoting the education, training and research activities undertaken by OPSA
- Involvement in the recruitment of clinical and technical staff
About you:
- Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics, or equivalent
- Eligible for membership to Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association
- Driver’s license
- Experience in all aspects of service delivery relating to prosthetics and orthotics, exposure to contemporary and traditional practise equating to minimum of five years clinical practise within O&P profession
- Experience in multi-disciplinary setting

About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join The Gully, Northeast Clinical Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program team.
The Gully is a recovery focused rehabilitation program for people aged 18 to 65 years who have a lived experience of mental illness. The program provides clients an opportunity to work towards recovery goals through group work and individual sessions. The program’s occupational focus aims to facilitate change and support engagement in activities of daily living, work, social participation and interests.
The Gully coordinates the NECMHS OT Clinic. This service offers occupational therapy assessments and includes an intervention plan and recommendations based on the consumer’s occupational goals.
These services operate in the Northeast at Modbury.
Your Role in the Program
Working part time on an ongoing basis, you will deliver specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention within a psychosocial rehabilitation framework, while contributing to the broader clinical direction of the team.
- Conduct comprehensive functional and occupational assessments for adults with complex mental health needs
- Design and implement individualised, recovery-focused intervention plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and professional leadership to junior OT staff and students
- Contribute to leadership, clinical overview, program development, quality improvement, and outcome measurement across The Gully North East service
What You Bring
- Substantial post-graduate experience in mental health, with a demonstrated understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation principles
- Leadership experience and values prioritising psychological safety of staff
- Proven ability to apply a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed approach within a community or outpatient mental health setting
- Experience providing clinical supervision or formal mentoring to less experienced clinicians
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage meaningfully with consumers, families, and inter-agency partners
- Familiarity with SA Health policy frameworks and the Mental Health Act 2009 (SA) is highly regarded
To be eligible for this position, you must have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification with registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.

- Northern Reablement and Intermediate Care to Return Home (NRICH): located adjacent to Lyell McEwin Hospital

What You Will Bring
- Demonstrated clinical experience in dysphagia assessment and management, including videofluoroscopy or FEES where applicable
- Experience working with aged care or rehabilitation patient populations
- Sound knowledge of SA Health or Local Health Network clinical governance frameworks and documentation requirements
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and communicate clearly with patients, carers, and colleagues

- Coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams, GPs, and community services to support safe transitions and continuity of care
- Contributing to risk assessment, safety planning, and timely clinical documentation within SA Health frameworks
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing, including acute or community-based settings
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2009 (SA) and recovery-oriented practice principles
- Confidence conducting independent clinical assessments and managing risk in a community environment
- Sound communication skills across multidisciplinary and consumer-facing contexts
- Compassionate, trauma informed approach to consumer care
- Current, unrestricted South Australian driver's licence suitable for community outreach work

As a senior member of the Junior Medical Staff, you will be instrumental in developing your clinical proficiency in caring for children with complex health challenges. You will also learn to navigate these situations in the context of each family and the community support structures available.
Your journey will include formally scheduled sessions and hands-on exposure to a variety of complex paediatric cases, including child protection issues, developmental challenges through the Child Development Unit, paediatric psychiatric conditions, and rehabilitation. You’ll gain insights into environmental factors affecting child health, such as nutrition and trauma care, while being prepared for the urgent needs of acutely ill children, including neonates, as part of the Medstar Retrieval team.

Key Responsibilities:

About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to work in our multidisciplinary Spasticity Clinic based in the Specialist Ambulatory and Rehabilitation Centre (SpARC) at Modbury. Your Role in Rehabilitation
Working within the multidisciplinary NARS Spasticity Clinic, you will deliver expert occupational therapy assessment and intervention for patients with upper and lower limb spasticity across a range of neurological conditions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive OT assessments and developing goal-directed treatment plans for patients attending the Spasticity Clinic
- Collaborating closely with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to coordinate Botulinum Toxin injection programs and post-injection therapy
- Providing clinical supervision and professional support to Allied Health Assistants within the team
- Contributing to service development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives within NARS
What You Bring
- Demonstrated experience in neurological or rehabilitation OT, with exposure to spasticity management highly regarded
- Sound knowledge of upper limb splinting, functional goal-setting, and assistive technology relevant to spasticity presentations
- Proven ability to work autonomously and exercise senior-level clinical judgement
- Experience providing supervision or mentorship within an allied health team
- Familiarity with SA Health clinical frameworks and the public health system is an advantage
To be eligible for this position, you must have an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation care across the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN). Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team at Modbury Hospital, your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing, planning, and coordinating individualised rehabilitation programs for patients with complex needs
- Providing clinical consultation and expert advice to the broader multidisciplinary team
- Supporting safe and timely transitions of care, including discharge planning in partnership with community services
- Contributing to service improvement initiatives and quality activities within NARS
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated clinical experience in rehabilitation, subacute, or a closely related inpatient setting
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills applied to patients with multifactorial presentations
- Proven ability to work effectively within and contribute to a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of the SA Health patient care framework and commitment to safety and quality standards
- Clear, confident communication skills across clinical documentation and team collaboration
To be eligible for this position, you must have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration in Rehabilitation Medicine; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers award.
The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.

This is a significant operational and professional leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic oversight of nursing and midwifery services within the District's largest hospital. Reporting to senior district leadership, you will drive workforce excellence, support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and contribute to the ongoing development of contemporary models of care.
Key features of the role include:
- Leading nursing and midwifery services across a complex tertiary referral hospital.
- Driving quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partnering with clinical and operational leaders to enhance service delivery.
- Supporting workforce planning, capability development and staff engagement.
- Shaping a positive workplace culture and championing change across services.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management of nursing and midwifery services across Lismore Base Hospital.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability and patient-centred care.
- Lead workforce planning, resource management and budget oversight.
- Drive quality improvement activities and implementation of evidence-based practice.
- Support organisational priorities through strategic planning and service development.
- Build strong multidisciplinary relationships across the hospital and wider district.
About you
You will be an experienced nursing leader with:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience leading large and diverse clinical workforces.
- Strong operational, workforce and financial management capability.
- Proven success driving service improvement, workforce engagement and organisational change.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills.
