Position details
The Team
The Community Services Support team in System Management and Reform is responsible for overseeing national and state priorities and initiatives, commissioning, funding and planning to implement whole-of-government system projects and reform in disability services and reform, aging and older Tasmanians policy and programs and family violence services.
The Disability Services and Reform team is responsible for overseeing national and state priorities and initiatives, commissioning, funding and planning to implement whole-of-government system projects and reform in disability services
The Role
The Principal Policy Analyst provides policy advice to support the effective and efficient development of whole‑of‑government initiatives, policy and disability programs at state and national levels, including the development and implementation of new Australian Government policy directions, reforms and programs, including the interface with the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
You will need
- Demonstrated high-level knowledge and experience in policy analysis, policy development, strategic planning and project management within a complex environment.
- Demonstrated high level project management and leadership skills, including experience in formulating and managing complex and diverse projects, including determining milestones and objectives, and providing solutions and recommendations that support service delivery outcomes.
- Proven experience in providing a high level of initiative, adaptability and flexibility, together with the ability to deal with pressure, balance competing interests and stakeholder views, and positively manage change and adapt to new situations.

Position details
The Team
The Billing and Revenue Collection Project will deliver an enterprise billing and revenue platform as well as uplifted and future-ready business capability that reliably supports Activity Based Funding, Medicare, and private patient billing across the Tasmanian public health system.
The project will ensure compliant, end-to-end funding and revenue pathways, reduce financial and audit risk, and provide a resilient foundation for current operations and future digital health transformation.
The Role
By understanding front-line business activities and challenges, the Consultant – Business Analysis considers people, policies, processes, clinical governance frameworks, and technology, to support hospitals, health and corporate services in identifying effective solutions underpinned by technology that meets business requirements, delivers measurable benefits, and contributes to the effective initiation and management of projects.
Experience in health billing and revenue is highly regarded. This includes working knowledge of Medicare claiming (including bulk billing and ECLIPSE), private patient election and health fund claiming, compensable and Medicare-ineligible patient billing. Candidates who understand how patient registration, clinical documentation and coding flow through to compliant claims and revenue will be well placed to translate operational needs into system and process requirements.
You will need
- Highly developed business analysis skills, including demonstrated experience in analysing business processes and thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Significant expertise in project management together with high level skills and extensive experience in the analysis and implementation of business process improvements and change management.
- High level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the demonstrated ability to identify and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions in situations of differing interest.

In Outpatients Appointments, these qualities underpin our team culture and have helped create a collaborative, efficient, and high performing workplace.
The role of Outpatient - Customer Service Officer, Appointment Scheduling Clerk plays a critical part in supporting patient flow throughout Outpatient Clinics. Success in this position relies on strong attention to detail, accurate data management, and professional communication with patients, clinicians and colleagues.
The Role
Provide clerical support to ensure the effective coordination and efficient operation of Outpatient reception services.
Accurately collect, enter, and maintain patient information within manual and electronic patient information systems.
Perform duties in accordance with clinical, financial, and administrative policies and procedures relevant to Outpatient Health Information Management Services (HIMS).
You will need
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels both within and outside the hospital. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate with patients in a professional, respectful, and sensitive manner.
- Knowledge of patient information management systems, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge, together with relevant clerical experience in a healthcare environment and an understanding of medical terminology.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with computerised patient information systems and administrative processes.

Details of appointment
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.

The Role
This is a significant senior nursing leadership opportunity within Tasmania's public health system.

- Report to the Executive Director First Nations Health and work closely with the L&D Manager to deliver Aboriginal cultural capability initiatives across the organisation
- Lead an Aboriginal Cultural Capability Facilitator, providing guidance and mentoring to enhance workforce capability, inclusion, and wellbeing
- Lead the design, delivery, evaluation, and reporting of cultural capability programs to strengthen Aboriginal cultural capability, cultural safety, responsiveness, and inclusivity across the organisation
- Build and maintain respectful partnerships with local Aboriginal communities and key stakeholders to support culturally informed and responsive service delivery
- Influence organisational governance, policies, and service models to embed Aboriginal perspectives, align with NSW legislative priorities, and integrate Aboriginal-specific strategies into broader planning
- Produce high-quality reports, briefs, and submissions for senior leadership while developing targeted strategies to support training completion, program compliance, and continuous improvement across competing operational priorities
About you
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, hold a current unrestricted NSW driver’s licence, and be willing to travel (including overnight stays) across the catchment
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) with a proven track record leading teams, creating and implementing workforce development initiatives, and embedding Aboriginal perspectives into organisational culture

About the opportunity
The Geriatric Evaluation and Management and GEM@Home Unit consists of a state of the art 30 bed inpatient ward with GEM/ TCP/ Rehabilitation that provides specialist in-patient care to the growing communities of the West. The Unit is based at Werribee Mercy Hospital. The unit is supervised by a Head of Unit and is made up of Geriatricians, an Advanced Trainee, BPT registrar, HMO’s and an Intern. There is a strong multidisciplinary team consisting of medical, nursing and allied health staff. In addition to ward responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to be involved in ACAS rounds as well as specialist clinics. Werribee Mercy Hospital is a teaching hospital of the University of Notre Dame.

Your part in our UnitingCare team
As a Service Leader you will oversee service operations at existing Project SEARCH sites while supporting the implementation of new program sites across, Ipswich and Toowoomba.
The Project SEARCH program is a unique, business-led, one-year employment preparation program that takes place entirely at a Host Workplace. This role will see you:
- Supporting the achievement of core activities within the Programs expansion project, ensuring that key deliverables in relation to site implementation and referral of eligible participants to new and existing sites are accomplished
- Leading service delivery operations in line with the Project SEARCH Model Fidelity, practice frameworks and legislative, regulatory and licensing requirements
- Working in partnership with the service delivery team to implement and promote best practice in delivering high quality, individualised, outcome focused supports, aligned to each participant’s employment goals
- Developing, implementing and executing an Annual Program Delivery Plan for each designated program site
- Leading the development of a range of internships designed to teach participants competitive and marketable skills that are transferrable to jobs within the community
- Lead service delivery teams in undertaking a comprehensive assessment of each participant to inform Individual Employment Plans, Risk Assessments and individual servicing requirements
- In collaboration with service delivery teams and relevant stakeholders, develop effective employer engagement strategies designed to secure employment opportunities for participants
- Play in active role in the recruitment, on-boarding, induction and ongoing professional development of employees
- Lead and provide direct support, coaching and supervision to front line staff to ensure role based key performance indicators, practice frameworks, quality care standards and legislative requirements are met
- Oversee site based budgets and perform a range of administrative tasks to support effective and efficient financial and billing practices.
- Monitor and review NDIS plans to ensure that each participant maintains the necessary funding for ongoing participation in the program

About the role
- Lead financial accounting and reporting for St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, overseeing month-end/year-end close, financial statements, cash flow, fixed assets, leases, Trust Funds and statutory reporting.
- Provide senior technical accounting leadership across complex areas including revenue, grants, capital works, leases, provisions and other significant accounting matters, ensuring sound judgement and compliance.
- Strengthen financial governance, controls and risk management, maintaining GL integrity, reconciliations, delegations, audit readiness and timely escalation of material financial risks.
- Lead audit and compliance activities, coordinating internal and external audits, resolving findings and ensuring all statutory and NSW Health reporting obligations are met.
- Lead and develop the financial accounting team while driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, reporting and stakeholder relationships to strengthen financial performance and control.
About you
- CA/CPA qualified with significant senior-level financial accounting experience, ideally within a complex healthcare, public sector or highly regulated environment.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, with a proven ability to navigate complex accounting matters, apply Australian Accounting Standards and exercise sound professional judgement.
- Experienced financial leader who can lead month-end/year-end reporting, statutory compliance, audit processes, financial controls and risk management.
- Strategic and commercially minded, with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Confident people leader and change driver, with a track record of developing high-performing teams, improving processes and systems, and building effective relationships across a complex organisation.
