Position details
The Team
The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) provides important health and wellbeing services to families across Tasmania with children aged 0 to 5. The service promotes the healthy development and wellbeing of children, providing growth and developmental assessments, health-focused early intervention, referrals and connections with other early childhood providers.
The CHaPS Residential Parenting Unit (lilinga) supports early intervention and support to families to navigate the adjustments and broad range of challenges that can arise during early parenting, equipping them with the confidence, knowledge and tools needed to support family wellbeing.
lilinga means Tasmanian Myrtle Beech (Nothofagus cunninghamii) in palawa kani, the language of Tasmanian Aborigines.
The Role
Registered Nurses within lilinga work alongside Registered Midwives and Enrolled Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care that supports the careplan, and promotes the wellbeing and confidence of families admitted to the unit.
Multiple part-time, full-time, casual positions available.
Roles are available for both experienced Child and Family Health Nurses and Nurses with Perinatal and Infant Mental Health expertise with the capacity to take on grade-4 roles and in-charge shifts, as well as Registered Nurses newer to this specialist area seeking professional development and growth.
You will need
- Experience and/or knowledge of the principles of primary healthcare and delivery of holistic care that supports family efficacy.
- Experience, qualifications and/or knowledge (or ability to gain same) in the area of early parenting support, child development, and family mental health and wellbeing.
- Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, and in partnership with families, to meet health outcomes.

Details of appointment
Multiple permanent positions available, full time and part time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.
Fixed term, casual, positions working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months.

Salary
$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Working with Children Registration

- Holds a recognised qualification in child and family health nursing, or other qualification relevant to the area of early parenting (including subjects related to perinatal and infant mental health), or is working towards same.

Position details
The Team
Cardiac Physiologists at the Royal Hobart Hospital enjoy a collaborative working environment within a supportive multi-disciplinary team. As well as cardiac device management and electrophysiology, members of the Cardiac Physiologist team specialise in adult and paediatric echocardiography and there is opportunity to work within more than one of these disciplines.
Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital, and the Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit within the RHH is the tertiary referral centre for all cardiothoracic surgery in Tasmania.
The Role
You will work with our Cardiac Physiology team and the Cardiologists to help deliver a high-quality, efficient and effective cardiac rhythm management service. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will apply a high degree of professional judgement in the management of patients in accordance with relevant standards and evidence-based practice. We operate an after-hours on-call service.
You will need
- Extensive experience as a Cardiac Physiologist in the field of electrophysiology and/or cardiac implantable electronic devices management.
- High-level knowledge and understanding of cardiac rhythm interpretation with the ability to provide technical support in the development of the cardiac rhythm management service.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a high-level of autonomy and demonstrated organisational and time management skills.

The Launceston General Hospital is the principal referral hospital in the region for more than a quarter of a million people.
The Launceston General Hospital (LGH) provides a Level 5 neonatal service and works closely with Maternity Services to deliver comprehensive care to mothers and babies across Northern Tasmania. Women's and Children's Services comprises a 6-bed Labour Ward, 27-bed Maternity Unit, and a 9-bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery caring for neonates from 32 weeks gestation and above.
Special Care Nursery provides family-centred neonatal care for babies requiring additional monitoring, treatment, and support, while working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes for infants and their families.
Women's and Children's Services offers free Clinical Supervision for nurses and midwives and fosters a supportive culture of professional development, education, and continuous quality improvement.
The Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) - Special Care Nursery facilitates and supports the education, professional development, and clinical capability of nursing staff, students, and learners within Women's and Children's Services, with a specific focus on neonatal care.
As a key member of the Women's and Children's Services leadership team, the Clinical Nurse Educator contributes to workforce development, succession planning, quality improvement initiatives, policy and procedure development, and the achievement of strategic and operational service goals.
The successful applicant will:
- Lead, coordinate, and evaluate educational programs that support evidence-based neonatal nursing practice.
- Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to nursing staff, graduates, and students working within the Special Care Nursery.
- Support the delivery of high-quality care to neonates from 32 weeks gestation and above through education, competency development, and clinical leadership.
- Promote family-centred care principles and support staff in partnering with families to achieve positive health outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement, accreditation, and patient safety activities to enhance neonatal services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain best practice standards and support service innovation.
- Assist in the orientation, transition, and ongoing professional development of nurses across Women's and Children's Services.
- Provide neonatal nursing expertise and consultation to inpatient units and other clinical areas as required.
You will need
- Demonstrated advanced level knowledge, skills and clinical experience and the ability to lead change in nursing practice through a quality and safety framework.
- Ability to apply teaching and learning strategies in the clinical area, including the development, implementation and evaluation of professional development, education and training activities.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary education, health and professional development issues (inclusive of critical thinking and reasoning, and reflective practice), National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and their impact on the knowledge and skill requirements of the nursing workforce, and patient care.
- Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications in neonatal nursing, paediatrics, education, or a related specialty area.

Infectious Diseases Unaccredited Trainees provide a high standard of clinical care to Infectious Diseases inpatients, outpatients and consultation patients under the supervision of specialist Infectious Diseases physicians and Medical Microbiologists. The role also includes supervised general medical management of patients admitted to specialist departments. Trainees will fulfill the service requirements of their Department, which may include attendance and participation in multidisciplinary meetings; clinical meetings; journal clubs, supervision and education of junior medical staff and active participation in antibiotic stewardship, infection control and/or ambulatory care programs.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for Registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.

About the role
- Deliver high-quality pathology testing across automated haematology and routine coagulation, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Apply your scientific expertise to complex and unusual haematology cases, including difficult blood films, specimen processing and clinical interpretation.

About you

About the Role:
When someone in Adelaide's northern suburbs is experiencing a mental health crisis, the response they receive can shape everything that follows. As a SAAS/SAPOL Co-Responder with the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), you'll be embedded alongside SA Ambulance Service and SA Police to deliver skilled, compassionate mental health triage directly in the community — meeting people at their most vulnerable and connecting them to the right care, right then.
What You'll Be Doing
Based at the NALHN Mental Health Service Salisbury Adult Service unit, you'll work as part of a co-response team attending incidents in the Adelaide Metro Northern region. Your day-to-day will include:
- Providing real-time mental health assessment and triage alongside SAAS and SAPOL colleagues in the field
- Diverting individuals from emergency departments and custodial settings where clinically appropriate
- Coordinating referrals and handovers to community and inpatient mental health services
- Contributing to debriefs and quality improvement within the co-responder model
What You'll Bring
- Registered nurse, with current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment and crisis intervention
- Confidence working autonomously in unpredictable, community-based environments
- Strong communication skills when liaising with emergency services and multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of the SA mental health service landscape, including relevant legislation
- A current, unrestricted South Australian driver's licence
To be eligible for this position, you must be Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.

About the role:
We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Officer (Maintenance/Grounds) to provide general handyperson and grounds services to a large, complex facility in Carseldine. Historically known as Holy Spirit Home) our 189-bed facility offers residents a supportive and welcoming environment, with Residential Living aged care, Independent Living and Community Living services all available at the same location.
Working as part of a close-knit team of five, our Maintenance Officers work both independently and collaboratively to deliver routine, planned and responsive maintenance, as well as general grounds and garden maintenance. From painting, patching and flooring repairs to pruning, mowing and helping residents with everyday maintenance needs such as TV remotes, sensor adjustments, water pressure issues and the installation of bathroom aids and handrails, no two days are the same in aged care.

- Experience and ability to carry out maintenance repairs and providing grounds support
