Are you interested in Oncology Nursing? This could be the opportunity for you to join the dynamic and passionate team at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH).
Ward 8F provides care for patients requiring chemotherapy, Bone Marrow transplantation (including Auto, Allogenic and MUD transplants), radiotherapy, blood products among other intensive interventions required when dealing with Oncology disorders. Staff are supported by the NUM, CNE and CNC based on the ward and through the hospital.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for:
• The provision of person centred, quality care to clinical trial patients.
• Coordinating and effectively managing a cancer clinical trial portfolio.
• Providing the highest standard of nursing care, education, advice and support to cancer clinical trial patients.
• Ensuring the conduct of clinical trials is in accordance with relevant clinical trial regulations and guidelines (including ICH GCP, TGA Note for Guidance on GCP and NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Research Involving humans).
• Set up and manage clinical trial documentation, patient recruitment, assessment and planning of patient care in accordance with the trial protocol and regulatory/ institutional guidelines.
• Data management activities including source data entry, clinical data extraction and transcription of data to a variety of trial databases.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Working in therapeutic and professional relationships with individuals, as well as families, groups and communities.
• Assisting in the provision of supervision and support for less experienced staff and maintaining professional accountability and development in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia's Standards of Practice.
• All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and supporting practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

About the Opportunity
As a newly Graduated Enrolled Nurse, you will work under the direction and supervision of our Registered Nurses to support and care for patients. Your role is vital in ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety for every individual in our care.
The Program runs for 12 months and offers 2 six month rotations, 3 dedicated orientation days, monthly clinical tutorials and peer support, simulation day training and ongoing support and education through the year. The program allows for full and part time hours with flexibility available for you to pursue higher education in undergraduate nursing study.
This position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care and enhancing the overall patient experience. In this role you will:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide physical and psychological comfort and support.
- Assist with patient assessment including observation and monitoring of Mental health status.
- Collect and report accurate health care information and maintain accurate health care documentation.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with patients, carers and other health care team members/colleagues regarding nursing care.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2).
- An NMBA-approved medication administration qualification, including IV medication administration.
- Strong clinical knowledge, communication and patient-centred care skills.
- The ability to prioritise, organise and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to quality improvement, evidence-based practice and the NSW Health CORE values.

What you'll be doing
To provide effective clinical management of patients, under appropriate supervision by Attending Medical Officers (AMOs), including patient assessment, making treatment decisions, performing procedures and maintaining adequate medical records; and to develop expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. The Medical Oncology Advanced Trainee will be in an accredited Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) training program within the Medical Oncology Department in a network of hospitals, or an individual hospital. The Advanced Trainee will be assigned to the Medical Oncology Department for the specified term and will undertake specific tasks and responsibilities at that Hospital. The Advanced Trainee will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and supervise junior medical officers (JMOs) and medical students. The Team
THS Pathology-LGH provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. THS Pathology aims to deliver a high-quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists and private hospitals, providing patients with no out of pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. The team at THS Pathology comprises a large team involving multi-disciplinary scientists, technicians, non-technical staff and Pathologists.
The Role
The role is being established to support Point‑of‑Care Testing (POCT) services at LGH and primary health care centres across the northern region of Tasmania. It will support the implementation of POCT governance throughout the region and will require travel, although it will be primarily based at LGH. The position will work in close coordination with multidisciplinary teams across pathology and broader clinical services, and will serve as the primary point of contact for all POCT matters within the region.
You will need
- Demonstrated post‑qualification experience as a medical scientist, with at least two years experience in establishing, testing and supporting the use of Point of Care Testing (POCT) devices within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
- Demonstrated organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet operational requirements.
- A working knowledge of medical laboratory accreditation processes, quality assurance and quality control principles, NPAAC requirements relevant for the supervision of medical laboratories, including requirements for the introduction of new diagnostic methodologies.

The Education Hub at Sydney Children's Hospital network are seeking a Temporary 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) Staff Specialist to join their team.
What you'll be doing
The Staff Specialist (Paediatrician) provides senior clinical, academic and educational leadership within the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network Education Hub. The position supports the development and delivery of high-quality, evidence-based paediatric education that strengthens the capability of health professionals and contributes to improved health outcomes for children and young people across New South Wales.
The principal responsibility of the position is to manage and deliver the statewide ADHD GP Endorsed Prescriber Education Program. The program prepares eligible general practitioners to undertake an expanded role in the assessment, diagnosis and management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, including prescribing within the applicable NSW legislative, regulatory and clinical framework.
The Staff Specialist will oversee delivery to approximately 300 GPs each semester through mandatory online learning, six compulsory Community of Practice sessions delivered across approximately 20 groups, monthly live webinars, and access to additional education, resources and support.
The position will also lead or contribute to the development and delivery of other statewide paediatric education initiatives as opportunities arise and as agreed with the Associate Director, SCHN Education Hub. This may include translating emerging health-system priorities into scalable education programs, developing partnerships with NSW Health and other stakeholders, and providing clinical and academic leadership from program design through to implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement.
The Staff Specialist will assist with the ongoing development and delivery of the Graduate Diploma in Child Health and associated online learning programs. This includes contributing to curriculum review, content development, teaching, assessment, academic quality assurance, faculty support and the maintenance of contemporary, clinically relevant learning resources.
The position is primarily an education and workforce-capability role rather than a direct clinical service. Any separate clinical duties would require formal approval, credentialing and a defined scope of clinical practice.
Participate in review and improvement activities, as well as training and education of staff.
Abide by the hospital code of conduct and participate in annual performance reviews for clinical services in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.

Royal North Shore is a busy Level 5 paediatric department which usually sees >15,000 Paediatric patients per year in the Emergency Department, 15% require admission to the in-patient unit.
Purpose of the Position
You will provide clinical management and treatment of patients under your care in a Northern Sydney Local Health District facility or service. This care will be provided within the scope of clinical practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD and will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within NSLHD.

Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatric and Child Health Division) or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within 3 months may be considered.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

All applications must include a demonstration of your ability to meet each of the selection criteria in order to progress through the recruitment process.
- Registration or eligible for registration with Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA). Candidate to provide AHPRA Registration Number on application.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and/or equivalent specialist recognition as provided for by the Health Insurance Act 1973 and the relevant Award/Determination, and demonstrated subspecialty training in Electrophysiology. Evidence of special interest in atrial fibrillation and a commitment to establish an atrial fibrillation clinic to promote early discharge and admission avoidance where appropriate.
- Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position. Preparedness to participate in general cardiology on call commensurate with FTE.
- Proven capacity and/or experience in the provision of effective high quality service in the specialty, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality improvement activities relevant to the specialty.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching with experience in teaching both undergraduate and post graduate students and other staff of the hospital.
- Demonstrate the skills and attitudes appropriate as a senior Medical Practitioner including modelling a high standard of professional behaviour to junior medical and dental staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and staff and to work as an effective member of the clinical team across multiple sites. Demonstrated commitment to provision of a high standard of clinical care in the public sector setting.
