About the Opportunity
Join the dedicated perioperative team at Kurri Kurri District Hospital, a valued part of the Lower Hunter community proudly serving Kurri Kurri, Abermain, Weston and Heddon Greta. Our hospital provides a broad range of services, including medical, specialist surgical, rehabilitation, emergency and allied health care, offering the opportunity to build diverse clinical experience while working in a welcoming and collaborative environment. As a Registered Nurse (Perioperative), you'll become part of a close-knit theatre team committed to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care. This is a Monday to Friday role, providing excellent work-life balance while allowing you to work across a variety of surgical procedures. From day one, you'll be supported through a structured buddy program, guidance from the Nurse Unit Manager and access to ongoing professional development, including study days and education opportunities. Whether you're an experienced perioperative nurse or looking to further develop your skills in Scrub/Scout or Anaesthetics, you'll be supported every step of the way.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures.
We are seeking Registered Nurses with experience or an interest in Scrub/Scout and/or Anaesthetic Nursing who are committed to achieving outstanding patient outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care throughout the patient's surgical journey.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and the multidisciplinary team.
- Prepare and maintain sterile environments and surgical instruments.
- Assist with Scrub/Scout and/or Anaesthetic nursing responsibilities.
- Monitor patients and respond appropriately throughout the perioperative experience.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote patient safety through effective communication, sound clinical judgement and evidence-based practice.
This position reports directly to the Nurse Unit Manager and offers the opportunity to work within a supportive, experienced and highly collaborative perioperative team.
About you
We're looking for a motivated Registered Nurse who is passionate about perioperative nursing and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

- Have experience or a genuine interest in perioperative nursing, including Scrub/Scout and/or Anaesthetic Nursing.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical judgement and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

- Be adaptable, proactive and willing to contribute across the perioperative service.

Essential requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Relevant clinical experience in a medical setting
- Demonstrated perioperative nursing experience or a willingness to develop skills in Scrub/Scout and/or Anaesthetic Nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in the department roster, including on-call requirements where applicable.

Selection Criteria
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse that applies to an Aged Care Rehab & AACE clinical setting
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and be able to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.

About the Opportunity

As a Casual Registered Nurse within our Dialysis and Infusion Services, you'll work across a diverse and rewarding clinical environment. Our Dialysis Unit is a six-chair service operating six days per week (Monday to Saturday), while our four-chair Infusion Unit provides treatment services on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Depending on your previous experience and service requirements, there may also be opportunities to work across other areas of the hospital, providing valuable exposure to a broad range of clinical settings.
At Muswellbrook Hospital, you'll be supported to build your confidence and specialist knowledge from day one. Dialysis orientation includes two weeks of dedicated training at either Maitland or John Hunter Hospital Dialysis Units alongside the Dialysis Educator, followed by supported shifts and orientation within the Muswellbrook service. Ongoing support is provided by the Dialysis Clinical Nurse Educator, Muswellbrook Clinical Nurse Educator team and Clinical Nurse Manager. For nurses working within the Infusion Unit, orientation includes two weeks at Tamworth Oncology Unit with the District Cancer Services Educator, followed by local orientation and ongoing support from our Oncology Educator. Additional support is available through the Cancer Care Coordinator, Muswellbrook Clinical Nurse Manager and the broader Cancer Services team. As a rural facility, Muswellbrook Hospital also benefits from access to medical officer support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred care to patients receiving haemodialysis and infusion therapies while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse/Midwife within SUPPS, you’ll provide comprehensive assessment, care planning, evidence-based interventions, education and case management to clients and families.
You’ll support clients with harm minimisation, relapse prevention and treatment planning, while contributing to the care of neonates at risk of prenatal substance exposure.
The role also involves working closely with families and other services around child protection, Domestic and Family Violence and complex psychosocial needs.

The Role
We’re currently looking for a medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and with at least one full year of nursing experience.
The Enrolled Nurse (EN) contributes to planning, implementing and assisting in the evaluation of health issues and in the provision of nursing care for patients. This role is a casual position with opportunity to enjoy flexible hours that may vary week to week, depending on organisational needs.
Our Location
The Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) is a maximum-security correctional facility for male offenders and is one of 3 correctional facilities within the Silverwater Correctional Complex in Sydney. Inmates who arrive at the MRRC:
- Come directly from court on remand
- Stay at the MRRC while they attend court in the Sydney Metropolitan Area (before returning to their home correctional centre)
- Stay at the MRRC while they await a vacancy at a centre matching their classification.
Most offenders leave the centre within a few months of their arrival, usually because they obtain bail (and release) or transfer centres.

What you'll be doing
The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) role assists in the provision of basic nursing care, working within a plan of care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) within a team setting. AIN’s are not to be allocated their own patients. AIN’s are not to be assigned patients where one to one therapeutic nursing supervision is prescribed.
The AIN is responsible for assisting in the delivery of quality individualised care to patients at The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) within the guidelines set by the NSW Department of Health, the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Framework, The SCHN – Division of Nursing and within the limits of the AIN position description.

Shoalhaven Hospital is a busy rural hospital which employs over 1,000 staff and is the main acute care hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. What you'll be doing
The ISLHD Drug and Alcohol Service provides broad-based training and experience in Addiction Medicine and is a training site for the Chapter of Addiction Medicine (FAChAM). The Addiction Medicine Unaccredited Trainee will, under supervision, provide medical assessment and access to treatment programs for Drug and Alcohol dependent people residing in the Illawarra (regional) and Shoalhaven (regional and rural) communities. This position will target marginalised drug users who may have co-morbid medical or psychiatric conditions and a wide range of training opportunities will be available including:
- Core addiction specialty learning
- Pain management
- Substance use in pregnancy
- Consultation and Liaison
- Education and research
The successful applicant will gain exposure and experience in the following areas under appropriate supervision:
- General Medical and Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Consultation Liaison.
- Outpatient Clinic: in which the principle focus is on individuals receiving Hepatitis Treatment program.
- Drug and Alcohol outpatient settings including assessment and ambulatory withdrawal management service including alcohol pharmacotherapy treatment.
- Tailoring the patient’s withdrawal management treatment to one of the following options available; hospital, community residential or outpatient or supported home withdrawal management.
- Prescribing maintenance pharmacotherapies for opiate dependent clients.
- Involvement in research opportunities.
This position is suited to General Practice Trainees (with a special interest in addiction), BPT trainees who may wish to complete their FAChAM training, or an experienced Trainee seeking a new opportunity within the Department. The clinical care will be delivered with consultation and inclusion of the multidisciplinary team within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District D&A Service. The position is community based and provides service delivery across the District.

Central Coast Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department:
The Career Medical Officer position involves general experience in labour ward management and gynaecology operating. Provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment in inpatients and outpatient areas in the public health organisation. The department also offers training opportunities for CMO grade doctors including access to consultants on the floor training and attendance at regular morbidly and mortality meetings. CCLHD have an active training program that is available for all Medical Officers.
Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital and trauma centre for the Central Coast, with over 500 inpatient beds and 24/7 access to the emergency department and operating theatres. A recent $368 million dollar redevelopment delivered a new emergency department, ICU, nuclear medicine facility, special care nursery and expanded medical imaging services.
Wyong Hospital is an acute major metropolitan hospital with over 300 beds providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to residents in the northern region of the Central Coast. A recent $200 million expansion delivered a new emergency department, ICU, paediatric unit, inpatient wards, theatres and expanded medical imaging services. Another development is the Wyong Women’s Centre, due for completion at the end of 2024. This will provide more accommodation for antenatal and gynaecology outpatient clinics. In addition, there will be two procedure rooms for more outpatient procedures to be performed,

The Team
Set near a picturesque Tasmanian coastline, the North West Regional Hospital, Burnie is a 160-bed facility and is the principal referral centre for the North West Tasmanian community and provides general medicine, surgical (including orthopaedic), intensive care, cancer services, paediatric services, outpatient clinics and specialist services. The hospital has close ties with the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School and with TAFE Tasmania thus providing opportunities for comprehensive training.
The NWRH Operating Theatre is a vibrant, supportive team consisting of four operating theatres providing Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT, Endoscopy and Dental services. NWRH Operating Theatre is committed to a positive workplace culture, and excellent clinical care within a supportive environment.
The Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) in the Perioperative Theatre at North West Regional Hospital is accountable for applying nursing expertise and contemporary teaching and learning practice to implement education programs for nurses that align with the strategic priorities of Hospitals North West, respond to emerging clinical need and facilitates professional development for the nursing workforce.
- Leads safe and quality nursing care through the advancement of evidence-based nursing practice and patient-centred care in an area of clinical and professional speciality.
- Applies high level professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing, midwifery and multidisciplinary stakeholders to enact education and development strategies for nursing and midwifery practice and the Organisation.
- Plans, assesses, implements and evaluates educational programs to ensure they align with the needs of the Organisation and nursing workforce.
- Models' commitments to the values of the nursing profession including open communication to build respectful relationships across the multidisciplinary team and has accountability, integrity, and contributes to positive workplace culture.
- Works in accordance with the strategic direction of Hospitals North West and the Organisations Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Framework.
You will need:
- Extensive experience in the perioperative environment either in anaesthetics nursing, post anaesthetic care unit (PACU) or the Scrub Scout role across the specialties of trauma, orthopaedics and general surgery.
- Lead and deliver innovative nursing education programs that support clinical excellence and patient-centred care.
- Mentor and develop nurses through clinical teaching, supervision and evidence-based professional development.
- Influence workforce capability, quality improvement and best-practice outcomes as part of a clinical leadership team.

The Team
The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) provides important health and wellbeing services to families across Tasmania with children aged 0 to 5. The service promotes the healthy development and wellbeing of children, providing growth and developmental assessments, health-focused early intervention, referrals and connections with other early childhood providers.
The CHaPS Residential Parenting Unit (lilinga) supports early intervention and support to families to navigate the adjustments and broad range of challenges that can arise during early parenting, equipping them with the confidence, knowledge and tools needed to support family wellbeing.
lilinga means Tasmanian Myrtle Beech (Nothofagus cunninghamii) in palawa kani, the language of Tasmanian Aborigines.
The Role
The lilinga Clinical Nurse Specialist ensures delivery of comprehensive care to admitted families, working alongside the multidisciplinary team. The Clinical Nurse Specialist develops, implements, and evaluates care plans in partnership with families, with a focus on early parenting challenges, infant sleep, family and parenting routines and communications, and infant/toddler mental health and wellbeing.
You will need
- Demonstrated experience and/or qualification in early parenting support, along with a strong understanding of primary healthcare principles.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team, and form strong partnerships with families, to provide integrated and co-ordinated care.
- Expertise in evidence-based primary healthcare interventions relevant to infant/toddler behaviours, infant sleep, infant mental health, and responsive parenting practices.
