Where you'll be working
Tamworth Emergency Department is a busy, dynamic and rewarding clinical environment providing care to a diverse range of patients from across the New England Northwest region.
We are a Level 5 Rural Referral Emergency Department, providing exposure to a broad range of emergency presentations and clinical experiences, including three resuscitation bays, an acute care area, paediatric emergency area & mental health services.
About the role
Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to develop your emergency nursing capabilities across a broad range of presentations, including acute illness, complex conditions, trauma, paediatric emergencies and life-threatening clinical events.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking rapid assessment, triage and ongoing monitoring of patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions.
- Delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute, complex and life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
- Performing and assisting with emergency procedures including cannulation, wound management, ECGs, specimen collection and advanced life support interventions.
- Participating in education, simulation, clinical supervision and professional development activities as part of the Transition to Specialty Program.
About you
You will be a Registered Nurse who is motivated to develop your career in emergency nursing and enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Essential requirements
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through AHPRA.
- Demonstrated nursing skills, knowledge, and ability with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in an acute hospital setting
The Transition to Specialty Program provides a structured pathway to support you in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence required to practise safely and effectively in the emergency setting.
You will be supported by a highly experienced and approachable management and education team throughout your transition into emergency nursing.

* Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions. The Role
We’re currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and at least one full year of nursing experience.
The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management.
Our Location
The Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) is a maximum-security correctional facility for male offenders and is one of 3 correctional facilities within the Silverwater Correctional Complex in Sydney. Inmates who arrive at the MRRC:
- Come directly from court on remand
- Stay at the MRRC while they attend court in the Sydney Metropolitan Area (before returning to their home correctional centre)
- Stay at the MRRC while they await a vacancy at a centre matching their classification.
Most offenders leave the centre within a few months of their arrival, usually because they obtain bail (and release) or transfer centre

What you'll bring
We are looking for Registered Nurses who can demonstrate:
Demonstrated Critical Care or ICU nursing experience

- Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to patient care.
- The ability to recognise and respond to changes in a patient's clinical condition and emergency situations.
- The ability to apply evidence-based practice and use clinical judgement to support safe, high-quality care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients, families, carers and the broader multidisciplinary team.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing clinical demands within a complex and fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining contemporary clinical practice.
ICU training, critical care and Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT), or a strong willingness to develop this skill experience is highly desirable.

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will:

What you'll be doing

The Monash Health Orthopaedic Unit covers elective and all trauma components of Orthopaedic Surgery, across three campuses - Dandenong, Moorabbin and Monash Childrens' Hospital. - Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty area.

- Previous Hospital in the Home (HITH) experience is essential.

St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) is seeking an exceptional leader to join our Executive team as Executive Director Quality & Improvement. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape organisation-wide quality, safety, patient experience, innovation and continuous improvement across a complex tertiary health service comprising 16 sites and more than 7,500 staff.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide inspiring and people centric leadership and assurance, ultimately ensuring SVHM continues to deliver safe, high-quality and person-centred care whilst strengthening our capability to learn, innovate and continuously improve.
Leading multidisciplinary teams across quality operations, patient experience, infection prevention, health information systems, continuous improvement, and environmental services, you will foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the Department of Health, Safer Care Victoria, St Vincent’s Health Australia, clinicians, consumers, and partner organisations.
Primary day to day accountabilities for this organisationally critical appointment include:
- Provide executive leadership for organisation-wide quality, safety and continuous improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of SVHM's quality, safety and improvement strategy.
- Provide assurance to the CEO, Executive and Board Committees on quality, safety, risk and performance.
- Strengthen the organisation's clinical governance framework, including clinical risk, accreditation, credentialing and clinical accountability.
- Lead a system-wide approach to learning from incidents and adverse events and embed a strong just culture.
- Champion exceptional patient and consumer experience, including meaningful consumer and lived-experience participation in service design and improvement.
- Oversee quality data analytics and clinical information systems to support evidence-based decision making.
- Lead major quality improvement, service redesign and transformation initiatives.
- Oversee the Innovation and Improvement function and support the development of contemporary models of care.
As Executive Director Quality & Improvement you will ensure the organisation maintains robust governance systems, achieves accreditation and regulatory requirements, and responds effectively to emerging healthcare challenges and system priorities.
About You
We are looking to appoint a collaborative and values-driven executive who combines engaging leadership with the ability to translate strategy into measurable improvements in quality, safety and patient outcomes.
Specifically, it is anticipated the successful candidate will offer:
- Previous senior leadership experience within a complex healthcare environment.
- A strong understanding of the Victorian and Australian public healthcare systems, including funding, policy, accreditation and governance.
- Demonstrated success leading clinical governance, quality, safety and improvement agendas.
- Experience operationalising large-scale strategic projects, transformation, change management and service re-design.
- The credibility and confidence to work effectively with clinicians, executives, government, consumers and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational acumen, with the ability to use data and insight to drive performance and outcomes.
- A commitment to person-centred care, equity, ethical practice, workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Additionally, a relevant tertiary qualification in health, public health, health management, business, economics, public policy or a related discipline is required. Whilst not essential, postgraduate qualifications in health management, business administration, leadership, public policy, or quality and safety will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing trauma informed, non-clinical support to a client bereaved by a death by suicide
- Participating in the delivery of workshops and training, and community events on issues related to suicide bereavement and the StandBy Service
- Record all necessary data and client case notes in accordance with StandBy policies and procedures
- Assist with planning the activities of the StandBy team and perform other duties as required by the Service Leader
As this rewarding role is in a specialist area, you will be provided with guidance and training through debriefing, external supervision, team meetings and professional development opportunities.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated knowledge, practical experience and skill in critical incident response/psychological first aid

About The Role:
- In this program you will be allocated to the McQuoin Ward. This is a highly productive surgical orthopaedics ward, where you will report directly to the Nurse Unit Manager and integrate into the nursing and multidisciplinary team.
- The Assistant in Nursing provides support to the Nursing staff in the delivery of basic care in busy surgical department. This experience could assist you in securing a New Graduate Position in the future.
About You:
- Enrolled in and undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing at 2nd year level.
- Enrolled in and undertaking a Diploma of Nursing and in at least 2nd stage.
- Certificate 3 in Health Service Assistance.
- Complete fundamental clinical skills, to assist the RN/EN workforce.
- Flexible and available to work on a 24/7 rotating roster.
- Previous experience working in an acute healthcare area (desired).
