Our Neighbourhood Administration / Scheduling Officer is a key support role to the delivery of our Community Care based services. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring business operations are running efficiently and our clients receive an exceptional experience.
Key responsibilities include but are limited to:
- Supporting and coordinating different teams within each neighbourhood
- Be the first point of contact for internal and external customers - via phone, email and in person
- Manage requests, concerns and inquiries
- Rostering and scheduling support for the neighbourhood
- Creation of correspondence and documentation as requested
- Efficiently organise appointments, diaries, travel and meeting/workshop preparatory arrangements.
- Monitor, order and distribute office supplies and arrange for the maintenance/repair of office equipment
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of information in financial, human resource and other Blue Care systems and databases
- Use mainstream software including the Microsoft Office Suite and database applications (Intermediate – Advanced skills required)
- Assist senior staff with special projects as required

- You will have effective verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in rostering/scheduling – Highly regarded

- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads with a can-do attitude

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing trauma informed, non-clinical support to a client bereaved by a death by suicide
- Participating in the delivery of workshops and training, and community events on issues related to suicide bereavement and the StandBy Service
- Record all necessary data and client case notes in accordance with StandBy policies and procedures
- Assist with planning the activities of the StandBy team and perform other duties as required by the Service Leader
As this rewarding role is in a specialist area, you will be provided with guidance and training through debriefing, external supervision, team meetings and professional development opportunities.

About you
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency

As a Clinical Research Nurse Specialist (CNS2) in CICU, you will lead the preparation, management and execution of clinical trials, observational studies and data collection aimed at improving care for critically ill children. You will oversee a dynamic portfolio of trials, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical and regulatory standards, while collaborating with investigators and industry partners. Your role will involve participant recruitment, consent facilitation, protocol management, safety monitoring and data management, all while promoting a collaborative, patient-centred approach and upholding the highest standards of care and research integrity.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Unit Manager on shift and the ED Nurse Manager, you will:
- Undertake rapid assessment, triage and ongoing monitoring of patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration, trauma presentations, medical emergencies and resuscitation events.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products and other treatments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Perform and assist with emergency procedures, including intravenous cannulation, wound management, ECGs and specimen collection.
- Participate in advanced life support and resuscitation interventions.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), meeting all NMBA Registered Nurse standards for practice, and complying with relevant standards, codes, guidelines and frameworks.
- Post Graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health, along with Authorised Nurse Immuniser status and Family Partnership Training. (Candidates may be working towards these qualifications or complete them within 12 months of commencement.)

Where you’ll be working
Cessnock Community Health is part of Hunter New England Local Health District and provides a range of community-based services to individuals and families across the Hunter Valley.
You’ll join a friendly and supportive team that values collaboration, open communication and professional development. Working alongside GPs, allied health professionals and other healthcare providers, you’ll play an important role in delivering coordinated, patient-centred care close to home.
About the role
This is a rewarding opportunity to use your clinical skills in a community setting while enjoying a high level of autonomy and variety.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments
- Providing simple and complex wound care
- Catheter care and management
- Medication administration, including IV therapies
- PICC and Port-a-cath care
- Immunisation, where appropriately qualified
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Experience in wound care would be a strong asset
About you
We’re looking for a Registered Nurse who is confident, compassionate and enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
To be successful, you will have:
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience in wound care is highly desirable
- Immunisation experience is desirable, but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work autonomously and effectively manage your time
- A patient-centred approach to care
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- A current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence - essential for the role
