The Position
- Provide specialist nursing expertise within an interdisciplinary framework to assist individuals and their families/carers to adjust to living with diabetes and/ or other endocrinology conditions, including the provision of education and health promotion activities.
- Act as a clinical resource for internal and external stakeholders, including community organisations and health professionals, to provide specialist advice, knowledge and support.

It will also support the development and expansion of in-house research capabilities, scientific interpretation and communication, and the translation of research findings into insights that inform clinical development and research decision-making.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Biobanking and Research Operations
- Provide oversight of patient-derived biological sample collection, processing, storage, and utilisation, ensuring processes are timely, accurate and appropriately documented.
- Manage, train and mentor biobank technical staff, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting ongoing professional development.
- Develop, optimise and maintain sample processing protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with relevant cross-functional teams.
- Ensure sample processing activities are performed consistently, accurately and with full traceability.
- Oversee biobank data capture and integrity, including maintenance of relevant databases and records.
- Ensure biobank operations, infrastructure and resources are appropriately planned to support current and future clinical studies and pipeline expansion.

What you'll be doing
The Provisional Fellow position provides advanced trainees an opportunity to further their training, developing skills important for a consultant role in the spheres of clinical care, education, and training as well as research with support from the team consultants and other health care professionals. The provisional fellow role is a leadership role, both within the department for other junior medical staff and medical students as well as members of the multidisciplinary team, but also across the broader hospital community.
This position is a part time role that focuses on advocacy, education and mentoring of medical students enrolled into the Joint Medical Program University of Newcastle and University of New England. In addition, the Provisional Fellow is expected to enhance their clinical skills and provide expertise in the management of children and adolescents by participating in clinical duties primarily within the Department of Paediatrics.

You will be supporting 4FTE Paediatric Consultants with another, 2FTE Advanced Trainee, 2FTE Unaccredited Trainee,and 2FTE Junior Medical Officers.
Boasting 18 Paediatric beds, we are a level 4 paediatrics and level 3 neonates' unit with dedicated adolescent and palliative care spaces, 8-bed special care nursery and a 6-bed paediatric unit within the emergency department. The Medical Imaging Department provides a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound services. This is a full-time, fixed-term position, with 80 hours per fortnight. Applications for part-time hours are also welcome.
The primary role of the Sonographer is to provide professional and efficient imaging services to patients and clients of NHW. The Sonographer is required to:

NSW Health at Auburn Hospital seeks a Provisional Fellow in General Surgery to optimise day-to-day management of general surgical patients. The role supports Consultant Medical Officers, trainees and residents and assists in departmental administration and education programs.
The Fellow will bring fellowship in general surgery or be within 6 months of completion, hold medical board registration, and demonstrate strong clinical skills, leadership, and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.
