About the DepartmentThe Clinical Genetics and Genomics Service (CGGS) at Bayside Health is a diagnostic and predictive health service for adults who have a known or suspected inherited genetic condition and/or have a family history of an inherited genetic condition.
About the RoleApplications are invited for the position of Specialist in Clinical Genetics (Fractional) at Alfred Care Group, Bayside Health, working 7 hours per week starting in November 2026.
Qualifications and Skills RequiredOur preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:
- Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice
- Fellow of the relevant college
- Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Clinical Genetics, with specific interest/experience in Cardiac Genetics
- Meeting Bayside Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Clinical Genetics
- Outstanding communication skills, including well-developed conflict resolution skills
- Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels
- Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams.

Alfred Care Group's Dietetics and Nutrition Department provides an integrated nutrition and dietetic service at The Alfred, Sandringham and Caulfield Hospitals. The joint Nutrition Department is comprised of approximately 48 EFT and 70 staff members. It is organised into 8 clinical streams and provides a 7-day service. Using evidence-based, patient-centred care it provides clinical expertise to Alfred Health's patients during their healthcare journey, including the prevention and treatment of malnutrition and the optimisation of nutritional wellbeing and recovery through tailored, specialised nutrition therapy. The Department strongly supports the professional development of its team members and is a recognised leader in research and quality improvement.
The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, dynamic and skilled Grade 1 or Grade 2 Dietitian to join a busy clinical department at Alfred Care Group. The Dietitian is part of a team providing nutrition care to a range of clinical units. They work closely with Senior Dietitians to promote and develop nutrition services through teamwork, collaboration, innovation and communication. Student education, supervision of Grade 1 Dietitians (depending on grade level) and Nutrition Assistants and active participation in quality and/or research activities are integral to this role. While this is a contract position created by a secondment, over 90% of our employment opportunities are only ever advertised internally. About YouThe successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in the assessment and nutritional management of patients, encompassing provision of enteral and oral nutrition support
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency in nutrition education and basic computer skills
- Experience in student supervision
- Understanding of quality improvement and service development
- Eligibility for membership of Dietitians Australia and the APD credentialing program
- Minimum of three years clinical experience in a hospital setting for Grade 2 to be considered.

We are seeking a locum Nephrologist to supervise and see patients in a Wednesday afternoon CKD clinic. The clinic run from 130 pm until 430 pm for patient consultation and 430-530 pm for end of clinic case discussion with Renal Advanced Trainee (Renal AT) and a Basic Physician Trainee (BPT). The whole clinic, inclusive of all patients seen by Renal Advanced Trainee and the BPT is about 15 patients.
Bayside Health Peninsula, at present have 4 Nephrologists, 2 Nephrology Nurse Practitioners, 3 satellites haemodialysis units, a 4-chair acute dialysis unit, high level ICU services, acute vascular and chronic vascular services, comprehensive imaging and interventional radiology services, chronic haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services, CKD education and CKD programme and comprehensive outpatient clinics (CKD, CKD education, HD, PD). There are regular histopathology sessions with a Renal Histopathologist and there is a weekly programme for CME and unit meetings.
Skills & Experience Required- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
- FRACP with Subspecialty recognition in Nephrology.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships both internally and externally

The Team & RoleThe department of respiratory medicine comprises sessional medical specialists, advance trainees in respiratory medicine, basic physician trainees and HMOs. We provide clinical care for all respiratory conditions including non-invasive ventilation or refer to super-specialist services (eg cystic fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension) where appropriate.
We offer comprehensive lung function and cardio-pulmonary exercise testing and overnight polysomnography with laboratories staffed by high quality and committed scientists.
We provide diagnostic and interventional bronchoscopy services.
We are supported by high quality diagnostic and interventional radiological services.
The position is for a casual / locum respiratory physician.
Key responsibilities may include provision of ward service and out-patient consulting services as per the Position Description.

The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a grade 2 Occupational Therapist to join the large and supportive team at Alfred Care Group. The successful candidate will commence the within the contemporary home based model of care service, 'Better At Home' service providing intensive inpatient-level multi-disciplinary rehabilitation in their home environment. There is further opportunity to work across other areas of the subacute service including inpatient wards within this fixed term role.
The successful candidate will have a key role in delivering high quality evidence based rehabilitation including functional cognitive retraining, assessment for NDIS planning, prescription and implementation of aids equipment, and complex discharge planning to optimise safety and independence at home. Grade 2 clinicians have an important role in leading various teaching/training and quality improvement activities across the Occupational Therapy Service, and will be responsible for the supervision and mentoring of junior Occupational Therapy staff, Allied Health Assistants and/or undergraduate students. They will be well supported by an experienced Grade 3 senior Occupational Therapist including regular supervision and access to professional development opportunities.
Skills and Experience Required- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy
- Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and eligibility for OTA membership
- Clinical experience and knowledge of client-centred, occupational service delivery in an subacute setting
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence-based practice

The Department
The Caulfield Community Health Service (CCHS) is co-located on the Caulfield Hospital site, and provides a range of clinical and health promotion services for people of all ages who live, work or study within the local community. These multi-disciplinary services are provided in the centre, community, home or via Telehealth. Following assessment, the work will largely involve equipment prescription, home modifications, and referral and liaison with other services to increase or maintain independence and reduce risk in the home. The majority of the clients will be over 65 and referred via My Aged Care under the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
The Role
The Occupational Therapy position will sit within the Adult Health Team and you will:
- Provide comprehensive assessments, recommendations and OT services to clients living at home
- Develop and implement person centred care plans
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to client support
- Liaise with relevant agencies to coordinate, facilitate and communicate client treatment and outcomes.This could include local councils and contractors to facilitate installation of home modifications, and equipment suppliers
- Demonstrate an understanding of pathways within the health care system in order to help facilitate appropriate care and advocate for clients with complex care needs (e.g. My Aged Care, Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Packages)
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Demonstrated occupational therapy clinical experience relevant to the community health sector (Minimum of 3 years' experience)
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)and adherence to continuing professional development requirements
- Current Victorian driver's licence

Join our Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU), where nutrition plays an important role in supporting recovery, wellbeing and successful community reintegration.
As part of a collaborative team that includes Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Exercise Physiologists, Music Therapists, Psychiatrists and Nurses, you will play a pivotal role in delivering dietetic services that support consumers’ recovery and promote reintegration into the community.
You will play an integral role within SECU, providing comprehensive nutrition assessment, intervention and monitoring to support consumers’ physical health, mental wellbeing and recovery goals. This includes completing initial dietetic assessments, developing and reviewing individualised nutrition care plans, and providing ongoing dietetic management for consumers with a range of nutrition-related conditions and concerns. The Dietitian contributes specialist expertise to the multidisciplinary team by participating in clinical reviews, case discussions and care planning, supporting the management of nutrition-related illnesses, monitoring nutritional outcomes, and partnering with Diabetes Educators to ensure consumers with diabetes receive appropriate education and support. Also contributing to the ward’s group program and promotes healthy lifestyle interventions in collaboration with the broader rehabilitation team.

The Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU) is a 50 bed unit based at Dandenong Hospital that provides medium to long-term inpatient treatment and rehabilitation for people who have continuous and severe symptoms of mental illness. Monash Health SECU accepts people from the catchment areas of; Eastern Health, Peninsula Health, Monash Health and Alfred Health. Our collaborative multi-disciplinary team is made up of; Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Clinical and Neuro Psychologists, Exercise Physiologist, Dietician, Music Therapist, Psychiatrists and Mental Health Nurses. The multi-disciplinary team provide treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation programs optimising individual function, for return to community living. NDIS plays an integral part in providing psychosocial support and care for our consumers and families during their stay supporting community transition.
