About the roleReporting to the Assistant Director and Director of Cardiac Sciences, you will provide expert clinical leadership, operational management and strategic oversight of the Statewide Tele-Cardiac Investigation Service, a key component of the Heart Outreach Program for Health Equity (HOPE). You will lead a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, administration staff and medical trainees while working closely with healthcare professionals across Queensland to deliver high-quality, evidence-based cardiac diagnostic services through innovative telehealth models of care.
Key accountabilities- Perform in a clinical consultant capacity across Queensland Tele-Cardiac Investigation services: provide expert level skills, knowledge, and contemporary Tele-Cardiac Investigation clinical practice for complex clinical presentations, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- This position is recognised as a key resource for State-wide and National advice and clinical consultation utilising expert command of specialised skills.
- Provide authoritative clinical counsel and influence clinical service delivery, quality and standards relating to the specialist area of Tele-Cardiac Investigations to key stakeholders both within and outside the discipline and on a state-wide level.
- Communicate and network effectively within the Cardiac Investigation Unit multidisciplinary team, external groups (where relevant), support groups, community service providers and Cardiac Clinical Measurement Scientists to enhance decision making and provide strategic direction for Tele-Cardiac Investigations.
- Demonstrate high level communication skills to align the service vision, direction and ethical framework of the Tele-Cardiac Investigations multidisciplinary team and partnered HHSs to Statewide strategic priorities.
- Provide clinical governance leadership for the State-wide Tele-Cardiac Investigations program; lead clinical governance systems, processes and activities (partnering with consumers, policy and procedure development, risk and incident management, clinical practice standards, research and innovation, quality assurance, improvement and service redesign, occupational health and safety).

What we offerTotal remuneration value of up to $170,573 p.a. is comprised of:

The Clinical Hub Registrar will work collaboratively with Paramedics, EMD's and the broader QAS organisation. The role will integrate with the wider healthcare community and emergency services staff to provide high quality, patient centred care to the state of Qld.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:- Demonstrated high level clinical knowledge and experience managing high and low acuity, as well as complex presentations in different clinical environments.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with internal and external clinicians, partners, stakeholders and work groups.
- The ability to use advanced face to face and virtual communication and interpersonal skills, to work as a member of a team and be able to build professional relationships across multiple disciplines.
- High level planning and organisational skills to effectively manage time and prioritise workload, with the proven ability to manage stress and maintain performance under pressure, without a negative impact on self or others.
- Experience in varied hospital placements, community, out-reach, rural and remote, pre-hospital, telehealth or similar role while supporting clinicians of varying disciplines would be beneficial.
- Ability to support and contribute to a learning environment with emphasis on personal and others' professional development.
- Competence in computer-based technology especially navigating through multiple clinical and clerical systems simultaneously.
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Applicants must be a trainee with appropriate experience and excellent clinical standing of a critical care speciality (e.g. Australasian College for Emergency Medicine) or equivalent qualifications, or other relevant speciality disciplines as deemed appropriate by the Medical Director and QAS Commissioner.
- Appointments to this position will require proof of qualification/s and current registration (specialist and general) under the National Scheme, as determined by the Medical Board of Australia.
- It is an express condition of employment for all people who are to perform roles with direct patient contact to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following infectious diseases during their employment: Diphtheria; Tetanus; Pertussis (Whooping Cough); Hepatitis B; Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR); Varicella (Chickenpox); Influenza. Looking for your next career move? CDSB is excited to offer an opportunity for a Principal Advisor to join the Medical Condition Reporting (MCR) Unit in Rockhampton and play a key role in delivering important services to the community.
The Medical Condition Reporting (MCR) Unit within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business provides a state-wide service responsible for administering legislative requirements relating to medical fitness to drive in Queensland.
All Queensland licence holders are legally required to be medically fit to drive and must notify the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) of any long term medical condition, or any change in condition, that may impact their ability to drive safely.
The team is committed to delivering high quality service, advice and interpretation of legislation, policy and procedures to customers, staff and external stakeholders. As Principal Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the team to apply relevant legislation, policy and guidance to make informed decisions that directly impact licensing outcomes and contribute to road safety across Queensland.
Tasks specific to the Principal Advisor position in the MCR Unit may include but are not limited to are:
- Lead and manage a high performing team responsible for administering and making decisions related to Medical Condition Reporting within the licensing service.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, customers and other stakeholders (both internal and external to the department.
- Provide advice and support directly to customers in relation to licensing matters, including managing and responding to customer complaints.
- Support team members in complex customer escalations and reconsiderations of decisions.
- Contribute to recommendations and provide strategic advice to senior and executive management including the preparation and review of complex reports, briefing notes, submissions and other correspondence in line with departmental standards.
- Drive continuous and business improvement initiatives and lead business improvement and change projects to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Director and Manager (Client Service Delivery) to foster a positive team culture that promotes effectiveness, efficiency and the achievement of departmental outcomes.

Job Description
The Assistant in Nursing is responsible for providing nursing care in a professional, safe and compassionate manner as a member of Eventide team. The Assistant in Nursing works under the direction of the of the Registered Nurse and this may be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse to assist in achieving service goals.
About the facility
Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility provides a multidisciplinary approach to care delivery with a focus on resident's rights and choices. Residents (as able), relatives, carers and other health professionals are involved in the individual care planning process and encouraged to play an active role in the decision making process. With the introduction of the aged care nursing ratios, all nursing staff will work together to provide resident focused quality nursing care that meets the aged care quality standards and will assist in the provision of leisure and recreational activities and interactions.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living and other tasks as delegated by the registered nurse.
- Work effectively with clients, colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.
- Effectively communicate information verbally and in writing.
- Use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position.

About the Candidate
- Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
- Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check
Highly Desirable: Applicants who meet one of the following criteria are considered highly desirable:
- Hold a relevant Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Service Assistant or equivalent, or
- Successful completion of the first semester full-time equivalent Diploma of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies, or
- Successful completion of the first year full-time equivalent undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies.
- Working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, e.g., Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, Matrix and Power Point.
