It provides accident and emergency services, general and surgical services and is a part of the Flinders Ranges Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) providing residential aged care. Our staff play an integral role in the health and wellbeing of residents by providing companionship and support and encouraging independence; by maintaining the link between family, friends and the local community enriches the quality of life of our care recipients. About the role

Located in Adelaide's northern suburbs, you'll work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals providing critical care to patients requiring intensive monitoring and life-saving interventions. Our ICU team is committed to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.

This casual position offers flexible working arrangements while delivering exceptional patient care in our state-of-the-art intensive care unit until 31 March 2027.

What You'll Do

As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will:

• Deliver person-centred, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
• Respond promptly to clinical deterioration and escalate appropriately
• Support and mentor students and less experienced staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
• Experience in the use of computer packages e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel.
