• Birthing and Assessment Unit

• Birth Centre

• Women's Health Unit

• Special Care Nursery

• Women's Assessment Unit

• Family Clinic

• Home Visiting

• NAMGP (Northern Adelaide Midwifery Group Practice)

• Rotational placements across units

You'll provide evidence-based midwifery care across the full continuum — antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal — supporting women, birthing people, and their families through one of life's most significant experiences.

What You Bring

• Current registration as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

• Demonstrated clinical midwifery experience across at least one of the practice areas listed above

• Sound understanding of woman-centred, culturally safe care within a public health context

• Effective communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity, time-sensitive environments

• Familiarity with SA Health policies, documentation standards, or a readiness to learn them quickly

• Ability to work a rotating roster including nights and weekends as a part-time team member

To be eligible for this position, you must be Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate

About the Role

As an Acute Surgical Unit Registrar, you will play a key role in the timely and accurate assessment of patients presenting with acute surgical conditions. Working as part of a dynamic acute general surgical team, you will manage referrals from the Emergency Department, inpatient wards, other hospitals, and general practitioners. You will collaborate closely with SET trainees, surgical fellows, and consultants to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring efficient clinical decision-making and appropriate surgical management.

In this role, you will also contribute to the ongoing care of emergency surgical patients, including ward-based management and assisting in theatre as required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your surgical skills in a fast-paced environment, gain valuable experience in acute surgical management, and work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering optimal patient outcomes.
