About the role As an experienced Registered Nurse -Scrub/Scout, with Vascular, Thoracic, ENT and or Endoscopy experience , you will provide a high standard of patient care, act as a clinical resource and effectively manage resources to deliver quality patient outcomes in all areas of specialty within our perioperative department.
You will enjoy a challenging role in a highly advanced private theatre complex comprised of 18 Theatres. You'll be exposed to the latest in surgical technology, including robotics, and work with some of the highest calibre surgeons in Australia who are usually based onsite in our consulting suites.
Our Clinical Command Centre is the hub that oils the theatre machine, with information feeding into and out of a central location to co-ordinate patient flow, equipment and available beds in recovery and on the wards. Our super-organised CCC Team know exactly where patients are up to on their theatre journey at all times.
Make a move and join our dedicated and supportive team in a clinically exciting theatre setting with a variety of case mixes, working with some of the highest calibre surgeons in Australia who are usually based on site in our consulting suites.
This position will be offered on a permanent part-time basis. All applications will be considered for future positions as they become available. Key Responsibilities Supervise nursing practice and take responsibility for standard of nursing care delivered. Act as a clinical resource, maintain and develop clinical skills relevant to area of practice. Evaluate the quality of nursing practice and participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes. Ensure the correct use and care of all hospital equipment by self and colleagues. Actively contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures in area of specialty. Deputise for the Nurse Manager as required. Participate in the performance management of caregivers in conjunction with the Nurse Manager. Participate in and takes responsibility for the education of other caregivers by conducting formal and informal teaching sessions. Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing specific departmental orientation programs with Nurse Manager, act as a preceptor as required. Act as shift coordinator as required and in liaison with the Nurse / After Hours Manager and monitors staffing levels continuously to ensure appropriate numbers of skills staff are available within the agreed productivity targets. Your skills and experience You will have demonstrated strong leadership ability. Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment you will hold well-developed skills in communication, conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving.
To succeed you will hold registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and relevant post graduate qualifications. About the roleYou will provide comprehensive care to patients on our Medical/ Oncology / Haematology and Palliative Care ward, working alongside various clinicians to provide acute medical (respiratory, renal, geriatric and general medical) and specialised cancer treatment, including oncology, haematology and palliative care.
Permanent full-time role available, part-time will be considered with the opportunity for multiple candidates to be hired to fill the position. This role requires availability for all shifts (AM / PM / Night Duty / Weekends) across 7 days.
PositionAssesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse, with recent acute inpatient experience and demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. Oncology experience (including cytotoxic medication administration) will be highly regarded. We are the At-Home Team for each of the SJOG hospitals across WA and work out of the Osborne Park Office, SJG Murdoch and SJG Midland hospitals to accommodate most metro areas.
Your role at SJG Healthcare At Home
We are seeking applications from Senior Physiotherapists to join our Rehab at Home service, on a casual roster with potential permanent positions available in the next 3 to 6 months. As a Physiotherapist – Grade 2 depending on your experience, you'll join a collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, client-centred physiotherapy services that empower people to achieve their goals and maintain independence in the comfort of their own homes.
This senior role offers the opportunity to apply your specialist clinical expertise, work independently, and influence best practice across the service. You'll also play a key role in mentoring and developing junior clinicians, supervising students, and contributing to education, quality improvement, and research initiatives that shape the future of care.
This position will be offered on a casual basis with an expectation of 1-2 shifts weekly depending on caseload with potential permanent positions available in the next 3 to 6 months. This role will be based from our SJG Mudoch Hospital
The Position:
Provide physiotherapy assessment, intervention and evaluation at a senior practice level for complex and general caseload/s.
Ensure that direct working relationships are established and maintained with colleagues and internal/external customers.
Use of Evidence Based Patient treatment outcome measures and use of patient feedback - satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities.
Ensure prioritisation and delegation of duties of Physiotherapy caseloads for self and supervised staff.
Active participation in the multidisciplinary team including clinical meetings.
Document in the patient/client healthcare record in accordance with the SJGHC policies and procedure
Maintain statistical data in accordance with departmental and professional clinical guidelines.
We are looking for those who enjoy working collaboratively, are committed to continuous improvement and keen to contribute to innovative clinical practice while supporting the development of others. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential for building positive relationships and working effectively with clients from diverse cultural, linguistic, and social backgrounds.
Physiotherapists with Rehab in the Home (RITH), community care and/or home visiting experience are encouraged to apply. Hospital experience is not necessary
To succeed in this role, you will hold a Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You will bring senior clinical experience, ideally within healthcare or disability services, along with a passion for delivering evidence-based, person-centred care. A current driver's licence and Working With Children Card is essential for this community-based role.

We can offer you
Casual Rate: $82.55 to $88.02 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation
Casual position offering 1-2 shifts per week depending on case load
