Our Melbourne-based client is seeking experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPN3) with community care capability to support a new Hospital in the Home service model scheduled to open in early 2026. Positions available to local and international applicants, with visa sponsorship (SID482) on offer for the right candidate.

Essential Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years’ full-time or equivalent experience (domestic candidates) or four years’ full-time or equivalent experience (international candidates) in mental health settings (acute, community, or crisis intervention)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and contemporary service frameworks

The Position:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 16 hours per fortnight, commencing 19 January 2026
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4 In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Regional Allowances • Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%

This role is based in our Outpatients Maternity Service, which include antenatal care and postnatal care in the community. The North West Maternity Services (NWMS) is primarily located at the North West Regional Hospital, with satellite and community-based services delivered across Mersey Community Hospital (MCH), King Island District Hospital, Smithton District Hospital and West Coast District Hospital. Your Role in the Unit
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will support the day-to-day operational leadership of Ward 1C, working alongside a skilled nursing team to deliver safe, person-centred care to acute medical patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical leadership and supervision across shifts, ensuring care standards and patient flow are maintained

What You'll Bring
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)

- Proven ability to lead and support a nursing team in a complex, high-volume clinical environment
- Sound understanding of SA Health policy, clinical governance, and safety and quality standards
