Job DescriptionGenea Canberra is growing! We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Canberra clinic on a full or part time basis.
Genea Nurses provide frontline care to our patients, supporting them along every step of their Fertility treatment. This role is unique, you be working in an office environment interacting with our patients both over the phone and face to face. Alongside clinical duties, a significant proportion of your role will involve providing patient care, support and education.
On a daily basis your role will involve:
- Patient face to face interviews and phone chats
- Collaborating with doctors and scientists coordinating care, working together to tailor unique treatment plans for each patient.
- Providing instructions to patients for the self administration of IVF drugs
- Providing results to patients over the phone and support at any point required
- Maintaining accurate patient records, clinical data entry and general administration duties associated with the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (with a current AHPRA registration) who ideally has previous experience working as a fertility nursefor this role. You will have strong clinical skills, but also strong people skills as large component of this role involves support and counselling. We are looking for empathetic Nurses, who can build rapport and provide genuine, authentic care to our patients.
As this role is office based you will need also strong administration skills and technical competence - at Genea we work across a number of different IT systems which you will need to learn.

As an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner (i.e. with endorsement at the Core or Proficient or Advanced level of suitability), you'll make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability by helping them and those around them. You will focus on enhancing quality of life, reducing behaviours of concern and promoting the rights of people with disability.
You will work as part of a team including practitioners, a team leader and clinical advisors, to support people with evidence-based practice along with developing your own knowledge, skills and experience.

You will also benefit from the School of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), in partnership with MedHealth Academy and the University of Melbourne.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will:
- Support our clients (NDIS participants), along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
- Identifymeaningful goals and practical strategiesutilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
- Develop, deliverand evaluateevidence-based support plans within a complex support space
- Ensureindividual plans reflect our clients' goals, passions and strengths
- Buildthe knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support our clients - family, carers, friends, etc

About You
- Current suitability (i.e. registration) with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner is essential, as too is experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner for a registered provider of positive behaviour support and endorsement at the Core or Proficient or Advanced level
- Demonstrated ability to work positively in a diverse team
- Outstanding communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
