Mercy Health in Heidelberg seeks a Senior Clinical Psychologist (Grade 3) for a fixed-term 12-month appointment. The role focuses on psychological assessment, case formulation, psychoeducation and evidence-based therapies for outpatients in the Gynae/Pelvic Pain pathway, within the Pain Service at Mercy Hospital for Women.

The successful applicant will work with a multidisciplinary team, provide supervision to junior psychologists, and contribute to service development, leadership, and training.

The Pain Service Senior Clinical Psychologist P3 is an exciting new role at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg. The Senior Clinical Psychologist provides psychological assessment, case formulation, psychoeducation and evidence based psychological interventions to outpatients of the Gynaecology Persistent Pelvic Pain Partnership Pathway (P5) Clinic.

Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary Pain Service team based at MHW, the psychologist also provides consultation and liaison to the referring MHW unit and treating team; develops, promotes and improves psychological clinical service delivery, in consultation with the Director of Gynaecology, P5 Clinic Psychiatrist, and Director of Psychology; assists in the development and delivery of multidisciplinary pain management services; attends multidisciplinary reviews, providing consultation, psychoeducation and psychological strategies to assist staff, teams and families/carers. The psychologist may also be involved in supervision of Grade 2 Psychologists and Registrars.

• Current full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, with Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.
• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology in an APAC accredited postgraduate course.
• At least 5 years' experience as a Psychologist post full AHPRA registration.
• PsyBA approved Psychology Supervisor status (or eligible and working towards same).
• Strong interest/passion and clinical experience in women's health and chronic pain.
• Grade 2 clinical psychologists with significant interest and experience in women's health and chronic pain may be considered.
• Commitment to working within a recovery-oriented framework, with a compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective client care.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to adapt, problem solve and prioritise workload.
• Demonstrated ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships with a diverse range of people, and contribute to a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
• Advanced clinical skills and experience in psychological assessment and formulation, mental state and risk assessment, and evidence-based psychological therapies, including in the context of complex and chronic pain presentations with co-existing physical health, mental health, trauma, personality disorders and/or substance abuse.
• Training and knowledge in evidence based psychological therapies and models relevant to persistent pain management.
• Experience in delivering group and individual therapy.
• Understanding and experience in trauma-informed care.

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
