The PSCP unit is the Tasmanian Government’s cancer screening authority and the leading source of information on cancer screening and prevention in Tasmania.
The Tasmanian Breast Cancer Centre is a new contemporary facility to create a comprehensive hub for public breast imaging in Tasmania, bringing together BreastScreen Tasmania’s successful screening and assessment services, the Diagnostic Breast Imaging Service, and support services for patients with, or at risk of, breast cancer.
The new state-of-the-art Centre will enable the expansion of public breast care capacity in our State, improving access to breast screening and diagnostic breast imaging for Tasmanians.
As part of the Tasmanian Health Service (THS), PSCP is responsible for:
Oversight of the local delivery of BreastScreen Tasmania and the Diagnostic Breast Imaging (DBI) service, a new THS pathway providing public diagnostic imaging services to the Tasmanian community.

Salary
Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award
A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.
Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $222,789 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $305,539 with further salary increments available.
Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $309,222 - $319,701 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Market Allowance of $95,000 pro rata per annum
Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle (subject to working full-time hours) OR allowance in lieu of motor vehicle currently set at $28,786 pro rata per annum, paid fortnightly (with CPI indexation on 1 July each year).
Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $17,483 pro rata per annum.
All other allowances as per current Award.
And subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of Base salary of additional payment will be paid from (PPS). If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid.

ABOUT YOU
Required:

The Royal Hobart Hospital is the tertiary referral hospital for Tasmania, and the principal teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania Medical School. The Hospital provides most specialist medical services for the region or state. This role has been established to improve the delivery of General Surgical services to patients and assist in the co-ordination and training of surgical Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) and Registrars.
It is ideally suited to Fellow who has recently been awarded a Fellowship in General Surgery, or a trainee who will have completed the training requirements by the time of commencement of employment. The successful applicants would each be attached to one of the sub-specialty units (colorectal, UGI/HPB, or breast/endocrine) and have opportunities for exposure to those fields. Some of the clinical work in this role involves managing acute / emergency cases as part of the Department of General Surgery's Emergency Surgical Unit (ESU). There are also opportunities to be involved with other teaching and research activities.

About The RoleThis role will primarily work to address health care needs for Aboriginal peoples and their families residing in Anyinginyi Health's four remote Barkly communities/ outstation service delivery areas (Wogyala, Corella Creek, Mungkarta and Nuramin including; other smaller Barkly outstations that may have Anyinginyi Health clients and families residing from time to time).
The Rural Remote Team Leader will coordinate and work within a small team providing community-based approach to the Barkly remote communities and outstations in accordance with the Anyinginyi Health, Primary Health Care Delivery Model. Based in Tennant Creek. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations. Directly managing the Rural and remote health team. Provide leadership and support for this team to provide remote outreach clinics and promote health awareness and provide public health responses, health assessments, screening, treatment, management and contact tracing follow ups in the Barkly region. You will be required to participate in the continuity of patient care, being a leader and coordinator in helping improve patient and better community outcomes within the role.

- Work in collaboration with the entire clinical team to meet the aims and objectives of the Strategic Plan.
- Provide regular monthly quality data reports to the Clinical Practice Manager.

- In conjunction with the management team and the CQI officer, develop, implement and participate in continuous quality improvement projects, and initiatives and adjust clinic practice in accordance with findings.

A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.
Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $222,789 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $305,539 with further salary increments available.
- Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $309,222 - $319,701 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award

An exciting opportunity for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join a regional, coastal health servce in Victoria, Australia.
This is the major health service for south-west Victoria. The hospital is also undergoing a major redevelopment, with around $396 million being invested into a new multi-storey clinical services building, including an expanded emergency department, additional theatres, extra inpatient capacity, dialysis, imaging and a dedicated paediatric unit.
They are now seeking a Specialist Anaesthetist to join its established anaesthetic team. Based primarily at one hospital, the role also provides services across another. The position involves delivering high-quality anaesthetic care across general and regional anaesthesia, obstetrics, emergency and critical care support, pre-admission services and the on-call roster.

- Provide high-quality and comprehensive anaesthetic services for patients undergoing general and regional anaesthesia.
- Provide anaesthetic and resuscitative support within the Emergency Department and elsewhere in the hospital when required.
- Provide anaesthetic services to the Obstetrics Unit, including epidural analgesia.
- Work collaboratively with treating specialists and provide clinical support to patients within the Critical Care Unit where appropriate.
- Participate in pre-admission clinics.
- Participate in the anaesthetic on-call and recall roster alongside the wider specialist team.
- Contribute to anaesthetic service development, operational decision-making, quality improvement, clinical audit and clinical risk management.
- Support the development of policies and systems that promote safe and effective anaesthetic care.
- Participate in South West Healthcare's medical emergency response arrangements where relevant.
- Teach and supervise medical students, junior medical staff and nursing staff involved in anaesthetic care.
- FANZCA or UK CCT eligibility for ESP/ANZCA bridging pathway
- Extensive clinical experience with very good knowledge and skills extending across the range of Anaesthetic services.
- Commitment to quality improvement.
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary workplace setting and leadership skills within this context.
- Experience in an education program for junior medical staff.
