We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual After Hours Coordinator to join our experienced and supportive team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne, at our East Melbourne campus.
ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
This role will be casual working across the 24 hours roster and will be pivotal in ensuring the clinical safety and after hours operations of both clinical and non-clinical divisions of the hospital.
In this pivotal leadership position, you will be accountable for efficient and effective operational management to ensure safe patient care and outstanding quality patient outcomes.
You will bring your passion to the role where you will work with our various management and on-call executive teams to support all staff here at East Melbourne.

ABOUT YOU:
As an outstanding After Hours Coordinator, it is essential that you:
- Hold a qualification as Registered Nurse and current registration with AHPRA
- Have availability to work a 7-day roster across both day and night.
- have minimum 5 years postgraduate experience
- Post Graduate qualifications are not essential however will be highly regarded
Your skills you will bring to this role will include:
Critical Care (ICU/CCU/ED) experience is highly desirable.
Proficient in ALS essential.
Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Speech Pathologist to provide high-quality, person-centred and evidence-based Speech Pathology services to residents within St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne’s Public Aged Care Services. In this senior role, you will provide clinical leadership and expert consultation across residential aged care, supporting best practice in the management of communication and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with nursing, allied health and support services to promote excellent resident outcomes and contribute to the ongoing development of contemporary models of care.
You will:
Provide clinical leadership across residential aged care Speech Pathology services, promoting best practice in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders
Provide expert clinical consultation and support for residents with complex communication and swallowing needs
Work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Nurse Unit Managers, Support Services and Allied Health teams
Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of systems and processes that support compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
Support the delivery of contemporary, person-centred models of care that promote positive outcomes and quality of life for residents
The classification for this position will range from VW6–VW9 ($104,135.20 - $118,981.20) per annum, pro rata for part time.
Your Contribution
You will be an experienced Speech Pathologist with strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for older adults.
You will also bring:
Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology), Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification
At least 8 years’ experience in adult Speech Pathology
Extensive experience in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership and expert consultation
Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills, with the ability to identify, develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
A genuine interest in and commitment to working with older adults and delivering person-centred care

About The Role
This rewarding opportunity will see you join the Mater Hospital in North Sydney as Casual Chef in our Food Services Department. You will bring your passion to the role where you will work with a diverse and High performing team.
Casual experienced chef with a background in a hotel or a health environment to work in our fast-paced Room service kitchen.
Your role will involve supporting our executive Chef and team to ensure our Patients and staff receive the highest quality meals.
The ideal candidate will be available to work a 7-Day Rotating roster and have the flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends.
About You
As an outstanding Chef you will have previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and a passion and dedication with a focus on serving the highest quality dishes.
A minimum 2 years' experience in the health or catering industry as a qualified chef would be an advantage.
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
Ability to work on a rotating roster.

Bring your cytology expertise to life by screening and reporting gynaecological and non-gynaecological specimens, including cervical cytology, within your scope of practice.
Make an impact at the point of diagnosis by performing Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE) for FNA, including EBUS and EUS procedures, supporting clinicians with timely and accurate results.

About you
Cytology expertise and credentials – a current Cytology Certificate (CT(ASC)) with hands-on experience and strong theoretical and practical knowledge of cytotechnology.

About the Role

Deliver Medication Use Evaluations and Quality Improvement activities, including monitoring and reporting on drug expenditure, and contribute to QUM research, education, promotional initiatives, bulletins and memos supporting safe and effective medication use
Coordinate the SVHN Drug and Therapeutics Committee (DTC) secretariat, including communicating DTC decisions, preparing reports and maintaining the Pharmacy Intranet, while providing QUM advice to clinicians, pharmacists and external organisations including the Ministry of Health and CEC

About you

Significant experience and demonstrated competence in clinical pharmacy services, with strong clinical judgement, expertise and commitment to ongoing professional development

About the role
This role provides expert clinical care, leadership, and education in the management of diabetes across inpatient and outpatient settings.
The successful applicant will be expected to be able to provide evidence-based, clinically sound and holistic patient care in partnership with clients and their families and other health professionals.
Take an extended leadership role in the coordination of nursing and health care within and across different care contexts to facilitate optimal health outcomes.
Triage referrals, manage waitlists and lead multidisciplinary meetings, while collaborating with internal and external key stakeholders.
Practice independently and interdependently with an extended scope of practice, autonomy and decision making, assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions and delegation of care to registered nurses, enrolled nurses and health care workers
About you
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
Commitment to ongoing professional development demonstrated through current Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) or working towards credentialling with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA).
Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team using effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse

About the role
Be required to work a rotating roster, including day, evening and night shifts, to support the 7-day operational needs of the unit.
Apply your extensive venepuncture skills and experience in specimen collection, preparation, storage and transportation in a busy pathology environment.
Assist with specialised procedures including venesection and Synacthen testing, as well as undertake non-blood collection procedures as required.
Demonstrate strong administrative capability including accurate data entry, keyboard skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
Work collaboratively as part of a team while adhering to policies, procedures and WH&S requirements, always delivering high-quality patient care and customer service.
About you
At least 6 months’ experience in vacutainer blood collection, with strong knowledge and practical skills in venepuncture and relevant pathology procedures.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service, while maintaining a professional appearance and patient-focused approach.
Demonstrated capability to work independently and autonomously, with strong attention to detail and reliability.
Flexibility to work across a rotating 7-day roster, adapting to changing operational needs.
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety principles, with effective communication and interpersonal skills in a healthcare setting.
