About the role
Open Support is a community service organisation committed to providing assistance to families in need across New South Wales through the active participation of trained volunteers and staff. Open Support supports the vulnerable in our society offering services that are professional, flexible and responsive to emerging community needs.
Open Support has 2 core areas of focus:
- Domestic and Family Violence including crisis accommodation and case management for women and their children, in particular those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Social Isolation via the provision of social support to people who are isolated and lonely in order to improve wellbeing and enable lasting connection with community.
The Head of Operations is responsible for designing, leading, and continuously improving the organisation’s service delivery model to maximise impact for individuals experiencing social isolation and domestic and family violence.
This role ensures programs are safe, accessible, high-quality, and responsive to community needs. It focuses on building robust systems, strengthening service delivery capability, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and client-centred practice.
This is a leadership role with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, safeguarding, and sustainable impact at scale.
Success in this role will be demonstrated through the delivery of safe, high-quality, financially sustainable services that improve outcomes for clients, strengthen organisational capability, support workforce engagement and position Open Support as a leader in community service delivery

About the Role
As the successful applicant, you will become part of a growing multidisciplinary team at a critical time in the history of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, as we continue to transform traditional inpatient care towards a ‘home first’ approach, including hospital-level care to people living in residential aged care facilities.
Duties include:
Provide optimal physiotherapy management to patients through effective assessment, treatment, evaluation, liaison, and discharge planning.
Provide high quality clinically appropriate, comprehensive allied health therapy to patients and carers in their own homes, aligning with the patient’s expressed goals of care and healthcare needs, and considering the effects of the patient’s health issues on their life and wellbeing.
Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge of evidence based practice, research and new developments
Classifications for this position will range from VB1 – VB4 ($86,730 - $99,699 per annum, pro rata for part time).

Provide evidence-based psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for patients with osteoarthritis of the knee or hip, supporting pain management, health behaviour change, adjustment to long-term conditions, function and quality of life
Facilitate and deliver individual and group-based psychological interventions and education resources, supporting behaviour change and self-management within the Osteoarthritis Chronic Care Program (OACCP), and integrating psychological approaches into multidisciplinary care
Work as the sole Clinical Psychologist within the OACCP, providing leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of psychological components of care, with a high degree of autonomy and minimal direct supervision, while providing multidisciplinary team support and clinical supervision to junior staff

About you

This fellowship provides advanced supervised training in clinical neurophysiology and neuromuscular disorders. The successful applicant will develop expertise in the performance, interpretation and reporting of a broad range of neurophysiology investigations while contributing to specialist outpatient services, teaching, research and quality improvement activities.
The Fellow will have the opportunity to gain experience in:
- Inpatient and outpatient neurophysiology services.
- Electromyography and nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCS).
- Single fibre EMG (SFEMG).
- Small fibre and autonomic studies, including QSART.
- Evoked potential studies.
- Weekly neuromuscular outpatient and clinical trials clinics.
- Departmental teaching, multidisciplinary meetings and research activities.
Classification for this position is HM25-HM30 ($129,048.40 - $177,622.12

About the role
Lead the way: Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Histology Laboratory and drive a high-performing, efficient service.
Be hands-on: Use your strong Histology expertise across all bench areas while supporting workflow and service delivery when required.
Lead and develop your team: Supervise, mentor and build the capability of scientific and technical staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Champion quality and excellence: Ensure the highest standards of specimen processing, quality assurance, accreditation and patient-focused diagnostic services.
Drive continuous improvement: Monitor workflow, turnaround times and KPIs while identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and overall laboratory performance.
About you
Experienced Histology leader: Bring a Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) and at least 3 years’ experience in a Histology Laboratory Supervisor or equivalent leadership role.
Hands-on Histology expertise: Have strong practical and theoretical knowledge of histotechnology, with confidence working across Histology bench areas and supporting day-to-day laboratory operations.
People-focused leader: Demonstrated experience leading teams, including rostering, workload allocation, training, competency assessments and developing high-performing staff.
Quality-driven professional: Strong understanding of NATA accreditation, quality assurance and quality control within an Anatomical Pathology environment, with a commitment to maintaining the highest laboratory standards.
A proactive problem solver: Bring excellent communication and organisational skills, sound knowledge of LIS and laboratory technology, and a passion for continuous improvement, workplace safety and exceptional patient care.

About the Role
This Fellowship offers exposure to a high-volume tertiary epilepsy service, comprehensive multidisciplinary epilepsy care, advanced neurophysiology, epilepsy surgery assessment, cutting-edge neuroimaging, and academic research. Graduates of the Fellowship will be well prepared for consultant practice in epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology, and academic neurology, and for leadership roles within tertiary neuroscience services in Australia and internationally.
This fellowship provides advanced supervised training in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and seizure disorders within one of Australia's leading tertiary epilepsy services. The successful applicant will develop expertise in the assessment and management of patients with epilepsy across inpatient and outpatient settings while contributing to teaching, research, clinical governance and quality improvement activities.
The Fellow will have the opportunity to gain experience in:
- Provide comprehensive assessment and management of patients with epilepsy across specialist outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, video-EEG monitoring, and intensive care settings, including first seizure and refractory epilepsy.
- Participate in multidisciplinary epilepsy care, including epilepsy case conferences, epilepsy surgery assessment, and invasive stereo-EEG (SEEG) evaluation.
- Interpret prolonged ambulatory EEG and other specialised investigations relevant to epilepsy diagnosis and management, including MRI, high-density EEG, SPECT, PET, neuropsychology, and MEG.
- Contribute to clinical research, quality improvement activities, and the ongoing development of epilepsy services.
- Participate in the teaching, supervision, and education of medical, nursing, and allied health staff within the Department of Clinical Neurosciences.
Classification for this role is HM25-HM30 ($129,048.40 - $177,622.12
per annum).
This is a full-time, fixed-term position from February 2027 to February 2028.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Basic Medical Degree.
- Completion of, or advanced training in, Adult Neurology.
- Indemnification with a recognised/approved medical defence association.
- Compliance with the RACP Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program.
- Demonstrated interest in epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology or a career in epilepsy.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Commitment to teaching and continuing professional development.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and compassionate Personal Care Supervisor to join The Cottage, part of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne’s Health Care for the Homeless (HfTH) program. The Cottage is a unique five-bed health facility providing nursing and personal care within a welcoming, home-like environment for people experiencing homelessness who have complex health and psychosocial needs.
As Personal Care Supervisor, you will provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of The Cottage, ensuring patients receive safe, responsive and person-centred care. Working closely with the Cottage Care Coordinator/Registered Nurse and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will oversee service delivery, staffing, referrals, occupancy, resources and operational requirements.

Your Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Patient Care
Ensure the delivery of a safe, effective and responsive service for patients of The Cottage
Work alongside the Cottage Care Coordinator/Registered Nurse to triage referrals and coordinate admissions and occupancy
Provide clinical, practical and therapeutic support to patients as required and within scope of practice
Support staff with resident management practices and provide guidance and training where required
Ensure clinical documentation, observations and handovers are completed accurately each shift
Maintain and promote patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times
Respond to complaints or concerns escalated by staff and seek support from the Psychosocial Manager where required
Team Leadership
Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to Cottage staff
Coordinate staffing and rosters to support safe, high-quality care and effective use of resources
Lead recruitment activities, including oversight of position descriptions and onboarding
Ensure new team members receive a comprehensive orientation to the operations and philosophy of The Cottage
Support staff to maintain required credentialing, scope of practice, performance review requirements and appropriate supervision
Provide immediate staff debriefing following challenging situations and facilitate access to additional support where appropriate
Coordinate regular team meetings that encourage staff participation and effective communication
Operations & Continuous Improvement
Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of The Cottage, including equipment, food services, cleaning programs and consumables
Monitor expenditure and identify opportunities to maintain cost-effective meal provision, dietary supplements, groceries and other resources
Regularly review local policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational standards, objectives and values
Identify and implement service improvements, evaluations and innovations that support broader Health Care for the Homeless priorities
Maintain effective relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders
Complete routine administrative activities required for the effective operation of the service
About You
You are an experienced and compassionate health or community services professional who can confidently lead a team while maintaining a strong focus on person-centred care.

About The Cottage – Health Care for the Homeless
The Cottage forms part of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne’s Health Care for the Homeless (HfTH) program, which brings together services supporting people who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. The program aims to better integrate and coordinate existing St Vincent’s services while developing innovative models of care that respond to the complex needs of this patient population.
The Cottage is a five-bed health facility located within a home-like terrace house setting, providing personal and nursing care for people experiencing homelessness. Patients may have a range of complex needs associated with homelessness, substance use, mental health, disability, complex aged care needs and family violence.

What You Will Do
As a Health Care Worker, you will:

About You

A nationally accredited qualification at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 4, or be currently working towards completion
A minimum of two years’ experience as a Health Care Worker

The ability to confidently and appropriately respond to challenging or complex behaviours
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Support Aboriginal communities and people impacted by gambling harm through culturally sensitive community engagement, education, peer support, health promotion and connection with appropriate services across South Eastern Sydney

Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing direct peer support, education and practical strategies to support their treatment and recovery journey, including through presentations, media and group sessions

Support clients experiencing disengagement or ambivalence where welcomed, provide aftercare and connect clients with GambleAware partners, community organisations, primary health networks, private practice and other relevant services

Work collaboratively with Aboriginal communities and organisations, as well as CatholicCare Sydney, SVHS Drug Health Service, multidisciplinary teams and the Peer Workforce, to support culturally appropriate care, prevention, early detection and access to treatment

About you
•

The newly established Medical Care at Home (MCAH) program is a cornerstone of that vision, providing safe, effective and clinically governed hospital-level care in the home. The program combines virtual care, nursing-led service delivery and multidisciplinary collaboration to support patients with a diverse range of clinical conditions and acuity levels outside traditional hospital settings.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking exceptional Medical Leads, Medical Care at Home to join St Vincent's Care at Home and play a foundational role in one of Australia's most innovative healthcare initiatives.
Based in Brisbane, we have both Permanent Full-Time and Permanent Part-Time opportunities available.
These senior clinical leadership roles will operate across a 7-day roster as required (inclusive of an on-call roster), supporting the delivery of safe, responsive and clinically governed Medical Care at Home services while ensuring medical oversight for patients receiving hospital-level care beyond traditional hospital settings.
Operating from the St Vincent's Care Coordination Centre, you will work closely with nursing, operational and executive leaders to establish clinical credibility, foster stakeholder engagement and develop innovative care pathways that safely bridge the gap between hospital and home.
You will provide medical governance for a nurse-led model of care, support the rollout and expansion of services across Queensland and contribute to the national growth of Medical Care at Home services across New South Wales and Victoria.
This role will be instrumental in building clinical trust in higher-acuity virtual care, partnering closely with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), hospital clinicians and healthcare leaders across St Vincent's hospitals in Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sydney and Melbourne, and other locations as required.
As the service grows, you will become part of a team of Medical Leads providing national coverage and helping guide the future direction of Medical Care at Home across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Medical Governance
Provide medical oversight, governance and clinical leadership for the Medical Care at Home program.
Deliver virtual medical reviews, telehealth consultations and clinical escalation support for a nurse-led model of care.
Admit patients into the service and oversee ongoing clinical management.
Conduct clinical assessments, diagnoses and treatment planning.
Order, review and interpret diagnostic investigations and communicate results appropriately.
Support management of clinical deterioration, escalation pathways and emergency responses.
Lead multidisciplinary care planning, virtual ward rounds and complex case reviews.
Coordinate prescriptions, specialist consultations, discharge planning and continuity of care.
Maintain comprehensive and timely clinical documentation.
Participate in clinical governance activities, Medical Advisory Committees (MACs), quality reviews and operational forums.
Service Growth & Innovation
Develop, implement and continuously refine clinical pathways that support hospital substitution and home-based care.
Expand patient cohorts and clinical services through safe and evidence-based pathway development.
Support innovation in virtual care delivery and connected health services.
Contribute to service monitoring, evaluation, research and quality improvement initiatives.
Champion contemporary models of care that improve patient outcomes and healthcare sustainability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership
Build trusted relationships with VMOs, clinicians, executives and healthcare partners.
Drive engagement and service adoption across St Vincent's hospitals and clinical teams.
Support local change management initiatives that strengthen confidence in virtual and home-based care.
Act as a clinical ambassador for Medical Care at Home services across the organisation.
Collaborate effectively within a dual reporting model, supporting both operational and clinical priorities.
National Collaboration
Contribute to the national strategy and expansion of Medical Care at Home services.
Support growth opportunities across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Travel as required to support stakeholder engagement, implementation activities and service development initiatives.
Work collaboratively within a national network of clinical and operational leaders.
About You
You are a highly respected medical practitioner who combines strong clinical expertise with a passion for innovation, leadership and healthcare transformation.

You Will Bring
Medical degree with current unrestricted medical registration.
Fellowship with RACGP or an equivalent specialist qualification.
Demonstrated experience as a Medical Practitioner or General Practitioner.
Extensive experience in acute clinical care, Hospital in the Home (HITH), virtual wards, telehealth or related models of care.
Demonstrated experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), patient administration and care management systems, including digital clinical documentation, electronic prescribing platforms and other technology-enabled healthcare solutions.
Proven ability to provide medical oversight, clinical escalation support and remote diagnostics within multidisciplinary healthcare settings.
Demonstrated expertise in clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement.
Experience leading complex case reviews and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Outstanding stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
Proven ability to influence and gain buy-in from VMOs, clinicians and healthcare leaders.
Strong communication, leadership and change management skills.
High adaptability and willingness to work across both virtual and face-to-face clinical environments.
Strong commitment to innovation, evidence-based care and continuous improvement.

About the role
Lead and support graduate nurses through their transition to acute care practice, providing clinical leadership, supervision, mentoring and guidance across diverse clinical settings.

Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency
