Join the Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Service (RMH-MHS) in this highly specialised senior clinical role, supporting consumer rights and best practice mental health care across inpatient and community services.
As the Mental Health Tribunal Coordinator, you will be the key liaison between RMH-MHS and the Mental Health Tribunal, coordinating hearings and ensuring legislative requirements and statutory timeframes are met. You will provide expert advice, education and support to multidisciplinary teams, while contributing to governance, service improvement and recovery-oriented care for consumers with complex mental health needs.
Key Accountabilities- Coordinate Mental Health Tribunal hearings across inpatient and community services
- Ensure compliance with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and statutory deadlines
- Act as the key liaison with the Mental Health Tribunal
- Support consumers, carers, families and nominated persons through complex hearings
- Provide education to clinical teams and support governance, risk and service improvement
- Partner with senior clinical and operational leaders across Mental Health Services
You are an experienced mental health clinician with strong knowledge of mental health legislation, governance and recovery-oriented practice. You will have:
- Registration and qualifications as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Social Worker
- 5+ years' experience in mental health assessment, treatment and care
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and Tribunal processes
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in education, consultation and leadership within multidisciplinary teams
- A strong commitment to consumer-centred, recovery-focused practice
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple service settings

As a Clinical Aged Care Assessor, you'll undertake strengths-based assessments with older Australians across hospital, community, home and telehealth settings. You'll identify their goals and support needs, develop care plans, complete reviews and make referrals to help them access the right care and services.
Key Accountabilities- Conduct assessments of older individuals to determine their care needs, preferences, and eligibility for aged care services.
- Work with clients, families, and care providers to develop personalized care plans that support the individual's physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Collaborate with other health professionals, government agencies, and service providers to coordinate services and ensure holistic care.
- Advocate for the rights of older adults and ensure their voices are heard throughout the assessment and care process.
- Monitor and review care plans to ensure they remain relevant and effective in meeting the changing needs of clients.
You are an experienced Allied Health, Nursing or related professional who offers:
- Minimum 12 months' experience working with older people in aged care or a relevant clinical setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication and person-centred care skills.
- Knowledge of aged care services, policies and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong digital skills and experience working to KPIs and quality outcomes.
- Current Australian driver's licence and ability to travel for assessments.

This is a Full Time Fixed Term position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Parkville EMR Service contracted to 26th March 2027. You will be responsible for maintaining the education systems to support the business as usual function for the EMR. You will play an integral role leading the design and development of the EMR software upgrade impacts, quality and function of MST and educational materials including tip sheets, eLearnings and other materials that are generic to all four hospitals. You will be responsible for maintaining MST, which is the Epic training environment, which is integral to onboarding and ongoing education executed by Parkville hospitals.
Classification for this position will range from AO71 - AO75 (base salary $111,103.20 to $121,274.40 per annum, plus superannuation).
What You'll Achieve- Lead the MST and training environment strategy which will include maintenance and build, access and training in MST (Epic's Training environment)
- Develop and implement a customer driven process to identify EMR upgrade and enhancement impacts for end users
- Develop and maintain consistent, online learning resources to support onboarding and optimisation education in collaboration with Parkville health services. This may include tip sheets, eLearnings and supporting course materials
- Degree or higher in a relevant area or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and/or training
- Ability and experience in instructional, multimedia design and developing learning and teaching resources
- Proven ability and experience in using a range of technologies including learning management systems
- Parkville location and close to public transport
