BlueCare is embarking on an exciting transformation to strengthen the provision of quality nursing care in the community setting. Being part of our clinical nursing team within our neighbourhood structure, you will have a dedicated focus on providing nursing care and leadership, support and guidance to other care staff in the provision of quality care that promotes quality of life and enhances the ability of individuals to maintain their independence and remain within their home in the community.
Your part in our Clinical Team:
As our Clinical Nurse, you will be allocated a client portfolio and have the opportunity to lead and inspire the frontline clinical team through the provision of guidance and mentorship. The role will hone into your effective decision making and clinical experience where you will provide exceptional care whilst responding to clinical nursing issues and concerns.
With our clients’ wellbeing always in mind, you’ll review client care and care plans promoting independence & quality of life, making a real difference to the quality of care we deliver. This includes:
•
Development, implementation, monitoring and review of care plans
•
Comprehensive and accurate assessment of residents
•
Assisting with the orientation of new staff and ongoing professional development
•
Support in ensuring the service meets all accreditation standards
What makes a difference for us:
You will be an experienced clinician, with considerable experience within an acute or aged care environment. You’ll be an advocate for person-centred care, leading by example through exceptional communication and customer service. You’ll present with:
•
Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent qualification
•
Current AHPRA registration - Essential
•
Extensive general nursing experience and demonstrated skills reflective of clinical experience
•
Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional Minimum) - Essential
•
Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
•
Ability to liaise with the care team and to provide co-ordinated care
•
Confidence to manage conflict, pressures and competing priorities
•
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team with ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship to other team members
•
Previous community nursing experience and knowledge in community funding is highly desirable

The Older Persons program provides information, referral and support to callers accessing the Seniors Enquiry Line.
Key Responsibilities
•
Provide proficient and appropriate response to range of issues identified by callers accessing the Older Persons Program using a high level of judgement, initiative, confidentiality and sensitivity.
•
Evaluate and identify the needs of callers to determine the appropriate community services referrals applying knowledge of resources available statewide.
•
Based on experience in supporting Older Persons, assess clients’ needs and determine best course of action to support their needs including setting up referrals and escalation to line management where required.
•
Refer callers to community services that can best meet the identified needs.

What makes a difference for us?
Working with young people in residential care who have complex and challenging needs will require a calm and non-judgemental nature, ideally you will have the following:
Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or Minimum Cert IV in Human Services, Community Services, Youth Services or related field
Experience incorporating the six CARE Principals when supporting Children and Young People, or reflection on how you would incorporate these into your practice
Hope and Healing Training or be willing to undertake this
A solid understanding of the child protection system as well as having a strong therapeutic background would be highly advantageous
Availability to work in a 24hr roster system
Ability to build strong relationships with young people
Current Blue Card (Working with Children), First Aid & CPR and QLD Driver Licence
Must also be willing to undergo a personal history check under the provision of the Child Protection Act 1999 in relation to Licensing of Care Services (LCS2 screening check)

Your part in our Lifeline team
The Sorting, Production and Merchandise Clearance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of sorting, production, and merchandise clearance operations within the Lifeline Retail Services Sunshine Coast warehouse. This position is central to driving efficiency across the entire process - from the initial sorting of donated goods through production workflows to the clearance of merchandise - creating a cohesive system that maximizes value and customer satisfaction. You will:
Lead and coordinate all aspects of the sorting, production, and merchandise clearance operations, ensuring integration and efficiency across the end-to-end process from receipt of goods to clearance.
Provide formal leadership to the Sorter team and building productive relationships with store teams including staff and volunteers, assisting in achievement of financial targets.
Monitor industry trends and best practice in retail and warehouse management, applying relevant learnings to the local context.
In consultation with the Business Manager, identify and implement strategies to maximise profitability, including stock management, pricing, merchandising, and promotional activities.
Take accountability for contributing to achieving budgeted revenue and expense targets for the warehouse and clearance program, including monitoring and reporting on financial performance.
Produce and update rosters, adjusting tasks based on daily workflow requirements.
Analyse business performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to the Business Manager.
Oversee the management of GST delivery, daily fulfilment of shop orders, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational data.
Represent the warehouse and Clearance Function in organisational meetings, projects, and initiatives as required.
Provide coaching and support to team members in the Warehouse and stores to foster engagement, accountability and cross unit collaboration.
Ensure compliance with organisational safety standards and promote a culture of safety.

Your part in our UnitingCare team
Work in partnership with the person being supported, their family and informal support networks, to attain the hopes and aspirations they have established for their lives
Provide support to people in their everyday living situations, including personal care as identified, with an emphasis on choice, enhancing quality of life
Participate in the development, implementation and review of individual plans that focus on the life hopes and aspirations of people
Enable people to attain personal autonomy over their own lives and the services which they receive
Recognise and uphold the right to respect, privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the person being supported and their family
What makes a difference for us?
Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent support to clients and co-workers
Great availability across 24 hour SIL rostering (Sleepovers, Morning, Afternoon and Evening shifts)
Able to effectively communicate in spoken and written English
Experience working in the Disability, Aged and Community sector is ideal but not essential – as long as you have positive attitude and a willingness to learn
