As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in our residential home, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life through activities that include:
Daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, help at meal times and general mobility
Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

Your part in our BlueCare team
The Clinical Nurse provides expert clinical leadership, guidance and support to care staff to ensure safe, high‑quality, resident‑centred care. The role plays a key part in complex clinical decision‑making, care planning, funding optimisation and continuous quality improvement, while ensuring care aligns with organisational values, best practice and accreditation standards.
In this role, you will:
Provide expert clinical leadership and advice in the management of complex resident care needs
Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of resident care plans to promote health, wellbeing and quality of life
Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical assessments and documentation
Support staff orientation, mentoring, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development
Promote a consultative and collaborative approach to resident care planning and quality activities
Assist in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, legislation and clinical governance requirements
Support accurate and timely ACFI assessments to ensure optimal funding outcomes
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families and external stakeholders
Participate in continuous quality improvement, risk management and workplace health and safety activities

The Practice Lead will coordinate high-quality support to clients by providing specialist domestic and family violence expertise, practice leadership, and guidance to staff across the NQ Safe program. In this pivotal role, you will identify and manage risk from both client and organisational perspectives, leading the development of effective safety planning and response strategies.
You will lead best practice across the program through a range of platforms, including reflective practice, case reviews, development of processes and practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist domestic and family violence (DFV) practice leadership, advice, and risk assessment support across the NQ Safe program.
Partner with the Service Leader to coach and mentor practitioners, enhancing their capability to engage clients and effectively assess, monitor, and minimise risk.
Develop and implement DFV risk assessment tools, frameworks, and resources, and build practitioner capability through training and coaching.
Develop and strengthen partnerships, referral pathways, and networks to support positive client outcomes.
Oversee quality practice standards, client records, reporting, and compliance requirements.
Contribute to service innovation, continuous improvement, and the implementation of contemporary DFV best practice.

A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services or a related discipline
Minimum five years' experience in the human services sector, including specialist domestic and family violence practice.

It is a place where we work together as a big family to provide care and residential alcohol and other drug rehabilitation services to our mob.
The core function of the Site Support Worker position is to ensure the safety of individuals and families who are receiving residential AOD rehabilitation treatment via shift work (after hours and weekends). This position works predominantly as a lone worker to undertake security checks of the perimeter, site tasks and support safety of residents.
Your part in our Blue Care team
Maintain site safety and security by undertaking perimeter checks hourly or as frequently as directed.
Undertake an afternoon lockdown check of buildings and motor vehicles
Monitor the service to ensure that clients and visitors are not bringing or using contraband on-site and are not attending site under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
Ensure clients are following the rules of the service and role model this behaviour
De-escalate client disagreements or conflict (with support from on-call or management as necessary)
Respond to emergency situations and call Ambulance, Fire, Police where necessary and with assistance from Manager and/or On-call and documenting in Site Support Worker book or via email.
Report to and/or consult with Manager or On-call in relation to suspicions of on-site use, issues or decisions in relation to all of the above accountabilities.

This role will assist with the provision of service to our clients by providing families with the necessary tools and skills required for independent living as well as co-ordinate and supervise activities for all ages to promote healthy socialisation and community spirit.

- Minimum 2 years post graduate clinical experience in acute tertiary hospital or rehabilitation hospital setting
