The Royal Hospital for Women is a multi-faceted tertiary referral and teaching hospital, internationally recognised as one of the world's leading centres for the care of mothers, babies, and women with benign gynaecological and gynae-oncology conditions. The Role
The Neonatal Division Nursing Co-Director (along with the Medical Co-Director) is jointly responsible and accountable for achieving the day to day operational management of the Neonatal Division. These will be achieved in accordance with the policies of NSW Health, SESLHD, RHW, and other relevant legislative and statutory bodies. The Co-Directors will provide vision and leadership in the Division and will foster excellence in the delivery of clinical services, corporate responsibilities, and in teaching and research. The Co-Directors will together direct the day to day clinical and corporate activities of the Division consistent with Hospital objectives through a structure that facilitates participatory management with department heads and senior managers, decentralisation of decision-making, and teamwork in the provision of clinical services. The Co-Directors will be required to represent and promote the hospital through participation on committees and professional bodies as required. This role represents a collaborative partnership with the Medical Clinical Co-Directors. Whilst the Neonatal Division Medical and Nursing Clinical Co-Directors have different time commitments to the co-directorship, both Co-Directors are jointly accountable for forming a partnership to plan, co-ordinate and deliver the clinical services of the Division.

Selection Criteria:
- Current Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Relevant post graduate qualifications or working towards same, with demonstrated senior leadership experience in a critical care or neonatal environment with senior operational management expertise.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary clinical practice, critical care / neonatal intensive care models of care, with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve service and professional goals.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with proven mediation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Experience in financial management, including cost centre management and staffing profiles and the ability to develop financial strategies and achieve goals.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effective change management strategy, identify stakeholders and engage all in process to achieve desired outcome.
- Demonstrated experience in and commitment to quality improvement and risk management.

Why Your Role Matters:The Research Program Manager plays a strategic and operational leadership role in the planning, development and delivery of a multi-centre portfolio of research projects focused on the quality use of medicines (QUM). The Research Program Manager coordinates multidisciplinary teams and collaborations, monitors research outputs and impact, and contributes to the overall success and sustainability of the research program. The role reports to the program Chief Investigators and has no direct reports.
Responsibilities Summary:- Support research strategy and development to advance the program's objectives and long-term impact.
- Manage research funding applications and grants, including drafting documentation, coordinating input from collaborators and ensuring alignment with funding body requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant governance, ethics and regulatory frameworks applicable to the conduct of research projects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary research teams and collaborations, including researchers, clinicians, policy experts and administrative staff.
- Undertake day-to-day project management by leading the planning, execution and delivery of research projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
- Lead project governance activities and maintain project documentation including project plans, risk registers, stakeholder maps, budgets and progress reports.
- Manage project risks, issues, change requests and financials, implementing mitigation strategies and ensuring project resilience.
- Monitor research progress and performance against milestones, budgets and deliverables, and provide regular updates to investigator teams and funding bodies.
- Perform data collection, management and analysis to support research objectives.
- Facilitate effective stakeholder engagement across clinical, academic and policy sectors, ensuring transparent communication and collaboration.
- Oversee quality assurance processes and support dissemination of project findings through reports, presentations and publications, contributing to knowledge translation and policy influence.
- Monitor research outputs and impact and represent the research program across UNSW work areas, advisory groups, and at local and national meetings; lead and manage other program-wide research activities as required.

Skills and Experience Summary:- Relevant Master's level tertiary qualification with substantial experience in managing research projects, or equivalent competence gained through a combination of education, training and experience.
- Proven experience in research project management, with a strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, including strategic planning, execution, monitoring and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to support research strategy and development, including contributions to funding applications and grant management.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail in documentation, reporting and stakeholder communications.
- Proven ability to support knowledge translation and dissemination through publications, presentations and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams, including researchers, clinicians, policy experts and administrative staff, across academic and external environments.
- Familiarity with ethics and regulatory compliance processes relevant to health and medical research.
- Sound knowledge of budgeting, financial management and resource allocation procedures within a research context.
- Experience in data collection, management and analysis to support research outcomes.
- High-level proficiency in using a range of computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and project management tools.

The Group Leader-Immuno-Oncology is the senior research leader responsible for building and leading the Immuno-Oncology research group at CCI. The Immuno-Oncology team play a key role in the Institutes strategy providing innovative research into how the immune system can be harnessed to treat and cure Childhood cancer.
The Group Leader- Immuno-Oncology, will conceptualise and conduct original research of the highest calibre spanning paediatric tumour immunology, mechanisms of immune evasion and resistance, and the development and testing of immunotherapies.
This role is responsible for leading the scientific direction, financial management and ethical oversight for the Group, and will be accountable for attracting funding to maintain the viability and sustainability of the research program. The Group Leader- Immuno-Oncology works closely with clinicians at the Sydney Children's Hospital, collaborators at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and with national and international trial networks, so that the Group discoveries move effectively towards early phase clinical trials for children with high-risk, refractory and relapsed cancer.
To succeed in this role you will have
- A PhD in immunology, cancer biology or a closely related biomedical discipline.
- A minimum 10+ years postdoctoral research experience.
- A minimum appointment at, or eligibility for appointment at, Associate Professor level.
- Demonstrated expertise in immunological methods and models relevant to cancer, such as high-parameter flow or mass cytometry, single-cell and/or spatial profiling, functional immune assays, and immunocompetent or humanised in vivo tumour models.
- A strong record of publications, relative to opportunity, in highly regarded journals.
- A demonstrated capacity to attract peer-reviewed funding.
- A strong or emerging national and/or international scientific reputation, proven by collaborations.

What you'll be doing
The RHW Postnatal Services include the areas of Postnatal inpatient services, Midwifery Support Program and Lactation Services. The Midwifery Unit Manager 1 (MUM) is a clinical MUM co-ordinator role and provides clinical leadership and day to day coordination of the Postnatal Services at the Royal Hospital for Women (RHW) in collaboration with the MUM 3 who has overall management responsibility for Postnatal Services.
The MUM 1 is responsible for the daily clinical co-ordination and, the allocation of women admitted to the Postnatal Unit. The MUM 1 assists the MUM 3 to lead, plan and evaluate the service. The MUM 1 will work collaboratively with the MUM 3 to effectively manage resources and ensure optimal outcomes for women and babies by promoting best practice through support, allocation and supervision of staff on a day to day basis.
The MUM 1, in partnership with the MUM 3 participates in the recruitment and performance development of staff and functions within the policies and procedures of the NSW Ministry of Health, SESLHD, RHW and the Maternity Division.
The purpose of the MUM 1 for Postnatal Services is to direct, allocate and co-ordinate care of women and babies and, ensure the practice of midwifery care is safe and efficient, maintaining standards of care through continual audits and quality improvement initiatives.

The Role
The Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Specialist in Diabetes within the Antenatal Outpatients Department of the Royal Hospital for Women provides diabetes education, clinical care and management to improve the health and well-being of women within the preconception, antenatal and postnatal period.
This position acts as a resource and consultant to other health workers and agencies to assist in delivering high quality evidence based services to pregnant women with diabetes. The Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Specialist will be an expert resource for other health staff of Community and Gynaecology.

Selection Criteria:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and or Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia

The Role
The Registered Midwife working in the Royal Hospital for Women's Midwifery Antenatal and Postnatal Service (MAPS) continuity of care model coordinates and delivers high quality midwifery antenatal care in both the hospital and community hub settings, and postnatal care in the home. Care is provided to maternity patients within the Antenatal Outpatients Department (OPD), community-based antenatal clinics and the community postnatal setting, including the patient’s home.
The MAPS midwife is expected to work across a range of clinical environments, including community hubs where care may be provided autonomously and in relative isolation from the broader multidisciplinary team. The midwife is required to demonstrate sound clinical judgement, effective communication skills, and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately whilst working independently.
The MAPS midwife is responsible for maintaining their personal and professional development by participating in training, education activities, and performance reviews in order to continuously improve the level and quality of service they provide.
