Assistant Director of Clinical Education
Clinical Education and Simulation Centre
Permanent, full time role
Cabrini Malvern
Power the education that powers Cabrini’s care.
Ready to turn education strategy into everyday impact?
Cabrini is entering one of the most exciting periods in its history, and the capability of our workforce is central to it. We are looking for an accomplished, practical and energising clinical education leader to join us in the newly created role of Assistant Director of Clinical Education, working alongside the Director of Clinical Education to lead the day-to-day delivery of Cabrini’s clinical education programs and simulation centre.
This is a rare chance to shape how education is delivered across a large, highly regarded healthcare organisation at a time of major investment, redevelopment and clinical growth. As second in charge of the department, you will bring the Director’s strategy to life, making sure the right education reaches the right people, in the right place, at the right time.
Working in close partnership with the Director of Clinical Education, you will provide visible, hands-on and contemporary leadership of the education team. You will manage the education calendar, coordinate programs and simulation activity, steward resources, strengthen relationships with clinical services and education partners, and support accreditation readiness, all in service of safe, high-quality care for every patient, every time.
Why this role is exciting
- Lead and develop a skilled, motivated clinical education team and simulation centre.
- Turn a contemporary education strategy into well-run, measurable programs.
- Deputise for the Director and build your strategic and executive leadership experience.
- Partner with clinical leaders across nursing, allied health and clinical services to meet real workforce needs.
- Build strong relationships with universities, professional bodies and external education providers.
- Contribute to workforce capability, professional development pathways and a culture of learning and innovation.
- Play a meaningful role in significant organisational growth and redevelopment.
Who we’re looking for
You are a registered nurse and experienced clinical educator with strong operational judgement and a track record of leading people and programs. You are organised, visible and collaborative, steady under pressure, and energised by building the capability of others.
You bring an innovative approach to teaching and learning, a sound understanding of accreditation requirements, and the ability to bring people with you through growth and change. A postgraduate qualification in clinical education (or working toward) and experience in a senior education role are essential.
Senior clinical education leadership opportunities of this kind do not come along often. If you are ready to step into the second-in-charge role and make a lasting impact on the capability of Cabrini’s people, this is your opportunity.
Join Cabrini. Lead with purpose. Shape the next era of clinical education.
What we offer:
- A private, non-profit hospital which offers $15,900 salary packaging tax free plus $2,650 meal & entertainment card benefits.
- Our culture is inclusive; we work as a team and are constantly focusing on professional and career development.
- $4 per day car parking available at our hospital site (depending on availability)
- Additional Employee Leave Benefits
- Close to public transport with Myki discount on offer
- Working with the latest modern technology and established cardiologists
