To be successful in this role:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or an equivalent degree recognised in Australia

The OpportunityWe are looking for a Lead Veterinarian to drive and lead a workplace culture that values quality individual and team performance consistent with best practice procedures, positive working relationships, and continuous improvement. You will lead a passionate team to deliver personalised, professional, and dedicated care to our patients and their owners. You will be responsible for the management and supervision of the financial and clinical function of the business, and you will have the opportunity to really make it your own with a wide support network. You'll be supported by an experienced Practice Manager within the clinic, alongside your WA Relationship Manager and the wider support office, providing you with the operational, people and business support you need to settle confidently into your new practice environment and location.
We are open Monday to Friday 8am-6:30pm; Saturday 9am-2pm; closed Sundays and Public Holidays. You will be required to work a flexible 4-day working week which will include a rotating weekend shift.

Each shift is well-supported, typically including three nurses and two support staff, ensuring you have the resources you need to provide excellent care. Each Wednesday we have whole staff meetings including training session and updates to the whole team.

About the RoleThe BusinessServicesManager will oversee the non-clinical operations ofWillunga& Aldinga Veterinary Services, leading business development,strategyand operational management in collaboration with the Practice Principals. The role will work closely with clinical and support teams to promote employee development andmaintaina positive, collaborative workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day business operations, strategic planning, businessdevelopmentand marketing.
- Manage recruitment, staffing, rostering, training,performanceand employee development.
- Oversee HR, WHS, workplacerelationsand compliance requirements.
- Monitor financial performance, wages,budgetsand key business KPIs.
- Ensure the effective operation of IT, payment,telephoneand administrative systems.
- Coordinate communication,meetingsand operational improvements while supporting the Practice Principals andmaintaininga positive workplace culture.
- Minimum10years' experience in a business, operational or practice management role, preferably within a veterinary, healthcare, professionalservicesor similarly complex service-based environment.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to recruit,developand support employees effectively.
- Proven experience in business planning,financial management, KPI monitoring,budgetingand cost control.
- Sound understanding of Australian HR, workplace relations, WHS and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication,organisational, problem-solvingand decision-making skills.
