Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

Currently we are seeking Registered Midwives to join our team. The successful applicant/s will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive evidence based midwifery/nursing care to patients. Facilitates and promotes patient safety and quality of care. The Registered Midwife practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Midwifery Practice Decision Flowchart and has professional accountability to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery.Our Values guide our work in every action, and that includes recruitment and employment! About Wheatbelt Mental Health Services
Wheatbelt Mental Health Service delivers high-quality community mental health care including comprehensive assessment and treatment for people of all ages. Our clinical programs include Aboriginal Mental Health Program (All ages), Adult Mental Health Program (18-65 years), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program (0-18 years), Seniors Mental Health Program (65+ years) and Youth Mental Health Program (15-24 years).
The Wheatbelt Mental Health Service is a team of Mental Health Professionals including Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, Child and Adolescent Professionals. Aboriginal Workers and Community Mental Health Nurses.
About The Roles
We’re looking for passionate and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS and Adult Psychiatry to join our dynamic teams in Northam Hospital. You will be required to work occasionally across other Mental Health sites such as Narrogin, Merredin, and Gingin in Wheatbelt.
This is an opportunity to lead, innovate, and shape the future of mental health services for adults, children, adolescents, and youth.
You will:
- Deliver high-quality clinical assessment and psychiatric treatment in a community-based setting.
- Provide expert leadership, advice, and consultation to GPs, healthcare professionals, service providers, and carers across the region.
- Drive the regional implementation of the Infant, Child, and Adolescent Taskforce recommendations, ensuring best practice care.
- Chair CAMHS clinical reviews and uphold compliance with the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
- Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including the Chief Psychiatrist and local GPs, to deliver seamless, coordinated care.

You’ll report to the Director of Clinical Services – Mental Health and collaborate with a team of consultant psychiatrists and registrars who value shared expertise and collective problem-solving.
The Successful Candidates Will:
- Be eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia.
- Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP). Certificate of Child Psychiatry (RANZCP) or approved equivalent.
- Be RANZCP trainee who are in their penultimate year of training and have completed all training requirements.
- Substantial clinical experience in general adult, child, adolescent and youth mental health.
- Be willing to work across other Mental Health sites such as Narrogin, Merredin, and Gingin in Wheatbelt.
- Applicants from the United Kingdon (UK) or Ireland eligible for the Medical Board of Australia Expedited Specialist Pathway must:
- Hold the MRCPsych (UK) as well as CCT/CCST
- Have the AMC primary source verification
- Intend to live and work in Australia permanently

About the Pool and Appointment
This is an active recruitment pool which will be assessed on a regular basis by the panel to fill both immediate vacant positions and future vacancies. Position Profile: We are seeking suitably experienced, motivated & innovative team members, with excellent interpersonal & organisational skills to join the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Pharmacy Services team.
Regional Clinical Pharmacists assist in the promotion of safe, rational and cost effective drug therapy through the provision of clinical pharmacy services for hospital patients throughout the region. The services provided are to include but are not limited to completing the medication reconciliation process for admitted hospital patients, dispensing medications to patients, providing drug information to regional nursing and medical staff and making independent decisions on therapeutic strategies to optimize patient care.
The Senior Pharmacists are responsible for delivering safe, effective and high quality care through the provision of virtual clinical pharmacy services for patients throughout WACHS. These services include but are not limited to; virtual pharmacy for inpatients at WACHS sites without on-site pharmacist support, virtual training and upskilling of junior pharmacists in the regions, pharmacist led virtual outpatient clinics in the areas of visiting specialists, pre-admission, day infusions and palliative care. These positions will work closely with the WACHS-wide Pharmacy Services team and regional pharmacy departments to ensure best practice and patient centric care is delivered utilising modern, innovative and technologically advanced services.

Western Australia County Health Service (WACHS) is actively recruiting a variety of Consultant Psychiatrists with a wealth of professional expertise across various psychiatric specialties including general adult, social and community, old age, child and adolescent, and addiction psychiatry. This pool accepts applications from medical practitioners who hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry or RANZCP trainees who are in their penultimate year of training and have completed all training requirements or Specialist International Medical Graduates who meet the Medical Board of Australia recently introduced the Expedited Specialist pathway. Southern Regions Year 1-9 (Goldfields, Great Southern, Midwest, Southwest and Wheatbelt)
$377,556 - $479,490 per annum (inclusive of base salary, PDL and 11.5% superannuation)

$723.76 - $919.16 per session (inclusive of base sessional rate, PDL and 11.5% superannuation)
Northern Regions Year 1 - 6 (Kimberley and Pilbara)
$526,977 – $626,991 per annum (inclusive of base salary, PDL and 11.5% superannuation).
OR
$1010.20 - $1201.92 per session (inclusive of base sessional rate, PDL and 11.5% superannuation).

Position Profile:
We are seeking to appoint to the position of Trainee Psychiatrist in various regions across WACHS. The successful applicant will work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary and medical teams. Under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist, this position provides assessment and management for clients requiring specialist psychiatric care. The successful applicant will be committing to a length of training contract (two to five years) with WACHS.
The Rural Psychiatry Training WA (RPTWA) program is overseen by the Western Australia Branch Training Committee, in accordance with the requirements for obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). The training program provides clinical and formal supervised training experiences in rural generalist psychiatry, with Stage 3 trainees completing Certificates of Advanced Training considered on a case-by-case basis.
Essential Criteria
- Commitment to a rural post in psychiatry.
- Good interpersonal skills and high-level communication skills.
- Current RANZCP trainee or on approved Break in Training
- The ability to satisfy the Selection Panel of suitable academic record, RANZCP training record and employment history.
- Commitment and eligibility to undertake psychiatry training.
Desirable Criteria
- Clinical competence in both General Medicine and Psychological Medicine.
- Ability to use proficient problem-solving techniques, coping strategies and ability to tolerate and deal effectively with stressful situations.
- “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
- Rural background and/or rural clinical experience
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
