About the opportunity You will utilise this rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of community members. As a program worker, you will work towards recovery through developing individual recovery plans with participants which incorporate individual goals focusing on capacity building, skill and knowledge development and building longer term support networks. You will deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented support to individual, with mental health challenges. This role will be best suited for individuals with strong hands on experience in managing caseloads to assist participants develop individual recovery plans. We're looking for someone who can confidently step into the role, work independently and effectively manage their caseload from day one. Wellways delivers the Specialist Residential Rehabilitation Program (SRRP) and Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) programs in partnership with Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service (GVAMH&WS). These services operate 24/5 and provides a practical environment that facilitates the maintenance of, and / or the development of skills in the domains of daily living, learning, working, social and health. This program provides clinical and psychosocial support to participants and are underpinned by evidence-based best practice.

About the Service

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local for Benalla, Wangaratta and Mansfield is part of the Victorian mental health reform, providing community-based support for people aged 26 years and over experiencing mental health challenges, including people with co-occurring substance use or addiction needs. Delivered in partnership between Wellways, Albury Wodonga Health and Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO), the service is community-led and informed by the experiences of consumers, carers and the local community.
