This unit is a premier centre in NSW for blood transplants and advanced cell therapies, offering an exceptional opportunity to develop specialist skills in a highly supportive environment. The service is backed by a strong clinical leadership and education structure, ensuring you are well supported in your role and development.
Care for patients with complex haematologic and transplant needs

What you'll be doing
As an Enrolled Nurse in the Haematology/BMT C5a Ward, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting patients with complex and often life-threatening conditions. You will contribute to safe, compassionate and evidence-based care while developing your clinical skills in a highly specialised setting. Your key responsibilities will be to:
Deliver direct nursing care aligned with care plans and RN supervision
Monitor, recognise and escalate changes in patient condition appropriately
Support patients with activities of daily living and emotional care needs
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe care

Registration: Current Enrolled Nurse Division 2 Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal

What you'll be doing
As Cancer Care Coordinator, you will provide advanced clinical consultation and complex care coordination, helping patients, families and carers navigate their cancer journey. You’ll combine expert nursing practice with clinical leadership, education, research and service development.
Provide expert clinical advice, consultation, assessment, care coordination and education
Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of specialist nursing care and clinical practice
Develop and deliver education for patients, carers, nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
Initiate and contribute to research, quality improvement and best-practice initiatives
Analyse current models of care and influence service planning, policy, guidelines and strategic improvements

Essential Requirement:
Qualification: Postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
Registration: Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA- Division 1

- Completion of at least three postgraduate years including a minimum of 1 year experience in women's health, with clinical competencein perineal repair, interpretation of foetal monitoring, uncomplicated assisted vaginal and caesarean birth and management of obstetric emergencies) Experience assisting gynaecological surgery including laparoscopy is also desired.

What You'll be doing
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.As one of the Staff Specialists in this Unit, you will primarily take part in the clinical duties of the TACS unit and cover Trauma and ASU (Acute Surgical Unit) as well as participate in the General Surgery on call after hours roster.Coordination and management of the acute resuscitation and treatment of multiple injured patients, emergency general surgery patients and coordination of acute care between multiple services and disciplines is a major focus of the role.You will also be expected to assist the department in the running of Trauma, General Surgery, and Acute Surgery clinics as well as participate in unit elective and emergency surgical operating lists.
