About the Role:
Join SA Health's Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Social Worker in our Casual Pool for 2026-2027 with potential to move to contracted hours of work. Based at Lyell McEwin and Modbury Public Hospitals, you will provide essential social work 7-day rostered services across various clinical departments, supporting patients and families during challenging times, including Domestic, Family Violence, Child Protection, Elder Abuse, High Risk Pregnancy assessments. This casual position offers flexibility while contributing to South Australia's premier public health system.
What You'll Do
- Conduct brief crisis comprehensive bio psychosocial assessments and develop intervention plans
- Write professional reports and discharge plans
- Provide brief crisis counselling and support services to patients and their families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic timely safe patient care
- Facilitate discharge planning and community service referrals
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records
What We're Looking For
- Experience in healthcare or hospital settings preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving, clear communication, writing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under instruction but also independently and manage competing priorities
- Be willing to follow infection control procedures including being Bare Below the Elbows on the hospital wards.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.

As a Clinical Nurse in Community Health Nursing, you'll provide advanced nursing practices in primary healthcare, driving the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies and programs to achieve the optimal health outcomes for Community Health Nursing clients. You will also provide Palliative Care to clients and support carers and families in community setting when entering the terminal phase.

We are excited to be able to offer Consultant posts within the newly developed division of Emergency and Acute Medical services at YNLHN. Both departments have seen a 10% increase in attendances over the last year All applicants must have attained a post-graduate qualification or be within six months of attaining this. Doctors who have attained FACEM, FRACGP and FACRRM are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services to the highest standard with limited supervision, exercising professional judgement and advanced clinical competence.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the emergency department efficiently and safely.
- Respond to MET/Code Blue/Code Black calls as required during shifts.
- Supervise, train, and provide guidance to junior medical staff and allied health professionals.

What We’re Looking For:

Ideally looking for a 0.5 to 1.0 full time equivalent commitment, however all applications will be considered. You must be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration, or hold an equivalent qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award. About the Role
You will provide direct comprehensive nursing care and services to patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic operative procedures in the Operating Theatres, Recovery, Anaesthetic areas, Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) and Holding Bay at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. We're looking for passionate Physiotherapists to join our progressive Community Health Team, delivering a broad mix of acute and community-based services. Working across community service centres, you'll take a consumer-directed care approach, tailoring support to meet local community needs through prevention, early intervention, treatment and ongoing evaluation.
At the AHP2 level, you'll use your clinical experience and developing generalist and/or specialist knowledge to plan, deliver, and evaluate integrated physiotherapy services. You'll work with increasing autonomy, while also contributing to the supervision and development of junior staff, allied health assistants, and students - all within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Eligibility
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
- Eligibility for practising membership with the relevant Professional Association
- Ability to meet and maintain current registration requirements (where applicable)
- Commitment to ongoing professional development (desirable for self-regulated professions)

What We’re Looking For:
The successful applicant(s) must hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy profession and be eligible for full membership of the South Australian Board of Occupational Therapist. For those disciplines requiring Registration, all requirements to maintain current registration must be filled. For self-regulated professions, it is desirable to participate in the professional associations' accredited continuous professional development program.
Applicants will need to be skilled in supporting clients, carers and families across the Patient Journey, providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care and prompt follow-up. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will equip the OT in interacting effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, as well as working well within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Bordertown Memorial Hospital is now accepting applications for the Bordertown – Catering & Utility Services Assistant Casual Pool.
The Services Assistant is responsible for providing a timely, efficient and effective service, that involves the catering and cleaning of the health unit. Duties may include the preparation, service and delivery of food to clients, and general housekeeping. The Services Assistant may also be required to undertake laundry duties.
A Casual Pool works by applications being accepted on a continuing basis for a period of 12 months. A selection panel will regularly review and assess applications, and keep you informed during the process.
As a Services Assistant, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the health unit runs efficiently by:
- Assisting with the preparation, service, and delivery of meals, including breakfast, soups, and quick-serve foods.
- Ensuring that food is plated and delivered promptly, while also responding to client dietary requirements with care.
- Performing general cleaning duties, including high window cleaning and carpet shampooing, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for clients.
- Supporting laundry tasks like washing, folding, ironing, and delivering clean linen.
- Completing minor sewing repairs and assisting with stock recording.
No previous experience in catering or housekeeping? No problem! We’ll provide on-the-job training to help you succeed.

Bordertown Memorial Hospital provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by local general practitioners to outpatients and aged care beds and is part of the Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN)
Patients may commence their stay at Bordertown Memorial Hospital but finish their care at one of the neighbouring hospitals with specialist medical or allied health input when required. All hospitals in the South East work collaboratively to support the patient care needs of the region.
