What You'll be doing
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.

Where You'll Be Working
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.
The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.

1. Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance Act 1973.
2. Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.
3. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
4. Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or post graduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff.
5. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/ continuing professional development.
6. Demonstrated ability to comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including the provision of services to the local community, effective utilisation of resources, and preparedness to participate in the provision of health services at an LHD level.
7. Preparedness to participate in a hospital, service or LHD on-call roster.
8. Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary health care team.

Position details
The Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is Tasmania's second-largest hospital, providing specialist and acute healthcare services to the North and North West regions of the state and serving a population of approximately 250,000 people.

Our services work collaboratively to deliver high-quality healthcare and achieve the best possible outcomes for our consumers, workforce, and the broader Tasmanian community.
Rheumatology Unit
The Rheumatology Unit at Launceston General Hospital was established in early 2026 and is a growing multidisciplinary service dedicated to providing comprehensive rheumatology care across North and North West regions of Tasmania.
The team currently consists of 2-3 rheumatologists, 2 physiotherapists, 1 clinical nurse consultant, and 1 administrator. Despite its small size, the unit is a dynamic and collaborative team that values innovation, patient-centred care, and continuous service development.
Working closely together, the multidisciplinary team provides coordinated, patient-centred care for individuals living with inflammatory rheumatic diseases, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, and crystal arthropathies, helping patients achieve the best possible health and quality-of-life outcomes.
The Role:
- Staff Specialist Rheumatologist, providing specialist care in Rheumatology
- Provide outpatient consultation to public patients across Northern Tasmania in specialist Rheumatology services
- Provide specialist advice to inpatient units as required.
- Be involved in research and quality improvement activities, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, 0.25 FTE, day worker position, working up to 19 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join us.
* Please note flexible working hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant to work these part-time hours.

Salary:
Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award
A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.
- Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $222,789 - $319,701 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- The remuneration package for this position, based on classification as a Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 9, starts at $484,000 per annum, with potential for higher earnings dependant on seniority, in accordance with the current Specialist Medical Practitioner Award (Tasmania)
- Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $309,222 -$319,701 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award. Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025
In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

About Our Role
Our Provisional Fellow in Orthopaedic Surgery (Neurospinal) provides effective clinical management of adult elective and emergency spinal patients including spinal cord injured surgical patients, under appropriate supervision, whilst developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. The Provisional Fellow is a key person who works closely with all members of a multi-disciplinary team and deals with matters of an urgent or sensitive nature, whilst exercising discretion, sensitivity and maintaining confidentiality.
This role is suitable only for surgeons in an early stage of their career who wish to build on skills developed during the initial phases of their training.
Decision making and supervision will be at the appropriate level according to the doctor’s skills, knowledge and experience. The medical officer will be expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management according to their experience, under the guidance of and at the discretion of the appropriate Attending Medical Officer (AMO). All patients managed within the hospitals of the health service are under the direct care of a specialist medical practitioner. All decisions regarding their care are to be clearly communicated with the specialist responsible for that care.

Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Services is a major teaching hospital and tertiary referral centre based on the Randwick Hospitals Campus. The opportunity
As a Scrub/Scout Nurse, you'll be at the heart of the operating theatre, supporting surgical teams to deliver safe, high-quality care to women, babies, children and young people. You'll join a collaborative Perioperative team within South Australia's leading specialist hospital for paediatric and women's health, working across diverse and rewarding surgical specialties while contributing to outstanding patient outcomes.
Key duties of the role
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients and their families throughout the surgical journey
- Function effectively as a Scrub/Scout Nurse within a multidisciplinary surgical team, supporting a range of paediatric, neonatal, gynaecological and specialist procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and allied health professionals to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care
- Support and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence through continuous learning, professional development and quality improvement activities
- Mentor and support students, graduates and colleagues, contributing to a positive, collaborative and high-performing team environment
Skills and experience
- Registered Nurse with current NMBA registration, or eligibility to obtain registration and a practising certificate
- Demonstrated nursing experience in a perioperative or acute healthcare setting; perioperative and/or paediatric experience is required with a minimum of two years Scrub Scout experience

About the role
The Research Coordinator, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is responsible for initiating, planning and managing complex research programs, projects and services that inform and support the development, evaluation and promulgation of evidence-based care for mental health distress for infants, children, young people and their families in South Australia.
Key duties of the role
- Develop, implement and monitor outcome measures for CAMHS programs and services in collaboration with consumers, carers and clinicians across South Australia.
- Coordinate research governance, budgets and reporting, including evidence-based reports, literature reviews and needs analyses.
- Provide professional advice to relevant committees and planning bodies within SA Health/WCHN portfolios, the public sector, and State and National forums as required.
- Lead the planning, development and promotion of information systems that support agencies to integrate outcomes measurement with local practice and to monitor effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clinical caseload and provide clinical consultation and/or service commensurate with management and research responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
- Appropriate degree in Master’s Degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with PsyBA and an endorsed area of practice in Clinical.
- Hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work within trauma informed principles, and engage, collaborate and co-work with mental health consumers and carers, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from diverse background.
- Proven experience utilising a range of databases, tools, technologies and processes to undertake qualitative and quantitative research and analysis and deliver meaningful insights within a health services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and guiding multi-disciplinary teams and initiating, planning and delivering complex, concurrent projects that achieve agency objectives, including preparing and reporting on budgets and findings within organisational and grant requirements.

The Health Professional Councils Authority plays a vital role in protecting the public by managing complaints and concerns about nursing and midwifery practitioners. As healthcare continues to evolve, so must regulatory systems that support public confidence, professional accountability and safe practice.
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking nursing or midwifery leader to join us as Principal Nursing and Midwifery Officer, Complaints and Risk. Someone who can navigate complexity with confidence, balance competing priorities with sound judgement, and bring a human-centered perspective to challenging issues. Someone who sees change as an opportunity, thinks critically about emerging risks, and works collaboratively to improve systems and outcomes.
You will lead the Nursing & Midwifery Team’s risk assessment and complaints management functions, support high-quality regulatory decision making, and influence decisions that strengthen public safety while ensuring fair, transparent and effective regulatory processes.
Reporting to the Executive Officer, you will provide professional leadership and expert advice to the Nursing Midwifery Council, its committees and to Health Professional Councils Authority regulatory staff on complex and high-risk matters. You will lead a team responsible for the initial assessment and management of complaints, ensuring risks to public safety are identified, assessed and managed appropriately.
The role combines leadership, operational oversight, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
You will:
• Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for complaints triage, risk assessment and regulatory decision support.
• Provide expert advice on complex, sensitive and high-risk matters affecting professional standards and public safety.
• Support the Council and its committees to make timely, evidence-informed decisions.
• Build strong relationships with practitioners, employers, professional organisations, the Ministry of Health, education providers and regulatory partners.
• Analyse trends, identify emerging risks and develop proactive strategies to improve regulatory outcomes.
• Lead innovation and service improvements that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and responsiveness of complaints management processes.
• Contribute to evaluation, policy development and broader conversations about contemporary regulatory practice and professional standards

The Role
As a Clinical Nurse Educator in SESLHD you will deliver and evaluate clinical education programs to Intensive Care Unit within Prince of Wales Hospital
As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will provide for the delivery of clinical nurse/midwife education, and perform the following:
- Deliver competent nursing education in ICU
- Contribute to the development of colleagues and identify learning needs
- Support less experienced staff and acts as preceptor for new staff (when delegated this function)
- Support the orientation of new staff to ICU
- Provide day to day clinical education support and clinical supervision at the point of care
- Provide 1:1 informal education
- Provide support for skill development in clinical procedures, professional development, clinical policy
development and an in-service program for ICU - Implement and evaluate education programs
You will be recognised as a healthcare professional employing your clinical skills and critical thinking in delivering high quality patient care. You will exercise extended autonomy of decision making and professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care requiring advanced clinical skills.
You will be an integral part of the interdisciplinary team in the provision of person-centred care; and lead, support and supervise other nurses/ midwives and care roles. Selection Criteria

The Role
The CNE provides coordination, delivery and evaluation of clinical nurse education (including programs) at the ward/unit level. What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of clinical nursing education. The CNE will work in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and Nurse Educator (NE) and wider hospital team to develop and implement clinical education relevant to specialities and basic nursing competencies.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of clinical nursing education. The CNE will work in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and Nurse Educator (NE) and wider hospital team to develop and implement clinical education relevant to specialities and basic nursing competencies.
The CNE will work collaboratively to support clinical education to others outside the ward/ unit when required.

The Role
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of the Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH) consistent with SESLHD and POWH policies, procedures and standards.
This role is responsible for the management of inventory within Randwick Campus Operating Suite. The registered nurse is responsible to ensure that stock that is used within the Operating Suite is replaced in a timely manner through a stock management systems.
This role works closely with the Nursing Unit Managers and nursing staff within theatres to management stock. The inventory nurse works with the speciality Nurse Unit Managers to manage stock levels within the allocated budget. The inventory nurse reports to the Nurse Manager Randwick Campus Operating Suite. About the role
The Nurse Practitioner See & Treat, Paediatric Emergency Department (PED) works within the nurse led See and Treat Service and ACE model within the department providing prompt assessment, treatment and discharge of patients allocated to this service.
Key duties of the role
- Contribute expert nursing assessment and advice to local clinical teams to achieve integrated nursing care within a risk management framework.
