About the Role
The Clinical Competency Program Practice Development Nurse is responsible for facilitating health service wide Clinical Competency Programs to ensure best practice by providing educational opportunities for clinicians. This will be achieved by developing, facilitating and evaluating competency activities using the principles of evidenced based practice to improve the delivery of patient care.
- Facilitate competency workshops using a variety of education modalities including simulation, face to face, online learning platforms and problem-based learning
- Involved in review of existing programs to ensure they are current, continue to meet the needs of Learners and are innovative
- Actively monitors completion rates for mandatory training across the organisation and proactively supports Leaders from across the organisation to ensure completion remain at acceptable levels throughout the year
- Ensure the appropriate documentation and recording keeping for competency programs in collaboration with the Administration team
- Manage applications for recognition of prior learning from across SVHM
Classification for this position will be RN35 ($128,102 per annum pro rata).

- Registered in Division 1 with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board and current Practicing Certificate.
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Advanced Clinical Nursing
- Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (Highly Desirable)

About Education and Learning
St Vincent’s provides extensive Education and Learning support and services to staff and students across the health service. The educational team members are based across multiple campuses including Fitzroy, St George’s Hospital Kew, St Vincent’s on the Park East Melbourne, Caritas Christi Hospice Kew and Port Phillip Prison.
This position will primarily be based at St Vincent’s campus in Fitzroy with the expectation of travel to other campuses and health services as required.

About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Residential Aged Care Services (RACS), the Deputy Operations Manager supports the effective operational management of SVHM Residential Aged Care Services, including Berengarra, Auburn House and Prague House. The role is responsible for assisting in the coordination of service delivery, workforce management, quality and safety systems, financial performance, and continuous improvement activities across the residential aged care portfolio. The Deputy Operations Manager (DOM) provides direct leadership and management to the RACS Lifestyle and Administration Teams and acts as the key liaison with Allied Health services to support coordinated, person-centred care and resident wellbeing outcomes. The role works collaboratively with Clinical Managers, the Director of Nursing, Business Manager, Allied Health professionals and broader multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred, high-quality care that meets all legislative, regulatory, accreditation and organisational requirements. The DOM acts on behalf of the Operations Manager as delegated and provides operational leadership to support service excellence, staff engagement, and achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
Classifications for this position will range from Grade 5 Allied Health OR for Nursing (ZB7) ($150,000 - 160,000 per annum plus super).
Your Contribution
• Support the Operations Manager in the day-to-day operational management of Residential Aged Care Services.
• Provide direct line management and oversight of the Lifestyle and Administration Teams, ensuring effective delivery of resident lifestyle and wellbeing programs and administration functions.
• Acts as the key liaison between the service and Allied Health (AH) teams, facilitating communication, coordination of care and collaborative service planning.
• Act on behalf of the Operations Manager as delegated, including participation in relevant meetings, committees and service reviews.
• Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of operational plans and improvement initiatives.
• You will hold current AHPRA registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, without notations on the register, and a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or be willing to undergo an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Residential Aged Care Services, the Deputy Operations Manager supports the effective operational management of SVHM’s residential aged care services across Berengarra, Auburn House and Prague House. The role supports service delivery, workforce management, quality and safety systems, financial performance and continuous improvement across the RACS portfolio. It provides direct leadership and management to the Lifestyle and Administration Teams and acts as a key liaison with Allied Health services. Working closely with Clinical Managers, the Director of Nursing, Business Manager, Allied Health professionals and multidisciplinary teams, the position supports the delivery of safe, person-centred and high-quality care in accordance with legislative, regulatory, accreditation and organisational requirements. The Deputy Operations Manager also acts on behalf of the Operations Manager as delegated and provides operational leadership to support service excellence, staff engagement and achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership and Service Delivery
- Support the day-to-day operational management of Residential Aged Care Services.
- Provide direct leadership and oversight of the Lifestyle and Administration Teams.
- Act as a key liaison with Allied Health teams to support communication, coordinated care and service planning.
- Monitor operational performance and escalate emerging risks and issues.
- Coordinate service initiatives, operational projects and improvement activities.
- Act on behalf of the Operations Manager as delegated, including participation in meetings, committees and service reviews.
Quality, Safety and Compliance
- Support compliance with the Aged Care Act, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor quality indicators, incidents, complaints and consumer feedback and support improvement actions.
- Support clinical governance, risk management, accreditation and compliance systems.
- Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement and resident-centred care.
Workforce Leadership
- Provide leadership, support and guidance to staff and direct reports.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, rostering and retention.
- Support employee development, performance reviews and leadership capability.
- Assist with workforce issues, performance concerns and employee wellbeing matters.
- Promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture aligned with SVHM values.
Financial and Resource Management
- Assist in monitoring staffing profiles, FTE, agency utilisation and expenditure against budget.
- Contribute to budget development, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Support the effective allocation and utilisation of resources across RACS.
Stakeholder Engagement and Service Development
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support engagement with residents, families, advocates, regulatory agencies and community partners.
- Contribute to strategic planning, service development and organisational improvement.
- Foster collaborative relationships across Continuing Care, SVHM and external service providers.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A tertiary-level healthcare qualification.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current satisfactory National Police and NDIS clearance checks.
- Previous operational management experience within a healthcare setting, preferably within aged care.
- Extensive clinical leadership experience and knowledge, preferably within residential aged care or a similar service.
- Highly developed leadership and organisational skills, with demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary staff and functions.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of the Aged Care Act, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and contemporary aged care reform agenda.
- Experience supporting quality improvement, accreditation, audit preparation and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

Selection Criteria
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of commencement in role.
- Demonstrated extensive and recent clinical experience in paediatric nephrology and paediatric haemodialysis, including management of acute and chronic dialysis patients.

Key responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise in continence and urology nursing practice.

Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and extensive experience in continence and urology nursing, supported by a postgraduate qualification in Continence/Urology or a commitment to working towards one. You will demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
You will have a sound understanding of relevant clinical standards, experience in education and mentoring, and the ability to apply evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Postgraduate qualifications, research experience and previous involvement in clinical trials will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

What the role involves
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our Outpatient Services team in a part-time, 6-month fixed-term position. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based, contemporary physiotherapy care to community-based patients presenting with a variety of conditions, including post-joint surgery rehabilitation, persistent pain, general reconditioning, and neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease.
You will provide both individual and group-based physiotherapy programs, as well as facilitate interactive patient education and hydrotherapy sessions. Working closely with the broader multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering holistic, patient-centred care.

The Children’s Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, is seeking passionate and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS2) to join our team in a key research role within our dynamic 18-bed Intensive Care Unit.
As a Clinical Research Nurse Specialist (CNS2) in CICU, you will lead the preparation, management and execution of clinical trials, observational studies and data collection aimed at improving care for critically ill children. You will oversee a dynamic portfolio of trials, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical and regulatory standards, while collaborating with investigators and industry partners. Your role will involve participant recruitment, consent facilitation, protocol management, safety monitoring and data management, all while promoting a collaborative, patient-centred approach and upholding the highest standards of care and research integrity.

Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. About the Role
The primary aim of the position is to provide clinical assessment and implement clinical management of residents of Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF’s) and the community in order to prevent avoidable presentations to the Emergency Department (ED). About the Residential In Reach Team
Established by St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne in 2011, the Residential In-Reach (RIR) service operates across public and private aged care facilities, seven days a week within the St Vincent’s local government area (LGA) catchment. The RIR service works closely with hospital based teams and services, Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs), General Practitioners (GPs), and other community health care teams to assist in the ongoing coordination and delivery of timely and effective care for older persons by providing early intervention in relation to acute illnesses associated with chronic disease and ageing, and providing evidence-based education and nursing leadership. This service is nurse led and is staffed by a Nurse Practitioner Candidates and Clinical Nurse Consultants and rotating medical staff from the Geriatric Medical Unit.

About the Role
This isn’t just any Personal Assistant role. While you can expect to provide administrative support as expected of a Personal Assistant, you can also work on an array of exciting projects for the Pathology unit, which may include assisting with investigating the viability of opening new medical centres, assisting with evaluating software to manage for the Pathology fleet of vehicles or assisting with integrating our laboratory system with other systems.
In addition to having input on these projects, you’ll primarily be providing support to the Director of Pathology and Pathology Operations Manager. With a keen interest in your development, they’ll be providing you with exposure to the many facets of Pathology.
The Administrative support you will provide might include attending and scheduling meetings, minute taking and coordinating events.
Classifications for this position will range from $69,439- $76,764 per annum + superannuation.

Waitlist Officer - Health Services Partnerships
Fixed Term Part Time, 3 days per week until 30th June 2027

About the Role
The Waiting List Officer is accountable for the management of patients on the Elective Surgery Waiting List from a clerical perspective within the guidelines of the Department of Health Elective Surgery Access Policy. They provide efficient administrative support within the team and work closely with the Surgical Liaison Nurses to ensure patients are safely prepared for their elective procedure. The waitlist officer health services partnerships will play a key role in the coordination of the planned procedure referred from an external health service provider.
Duties:
- Receive and process waiting list forms from specialist clinics, private rooms, other areas of St Vincent's and Health Service Partnership sites within stipulated time frame as per DHHS Elective Surgery Access Policy
- Accurately create, record and update the Waiting List Screen on Patient Administration System (PAS) as required
- Contact patients and schedule admission for procedures
- Schedule any appointments, that may include pre admission clinic, anaesthetic clinic, perioperative medicine unit (PMU) clinic and any associated investigations as requested by the SLN or unit
Classification for this position will range between HS1 – HS17 ($65,739.96 - $72.677.28 per annum, pro rata) with an over award of $4.47 per hour.

About Planned Surgery
The Planned Surgery Management Team (PSMT) coordinates the care of those patients that are on the St Vincent’s Hospital planned surgery and endoscopy waiting list in accordance with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Planned Surgery Access Policy. They are responsible for the case management and coordination of care for patients from when they go on the surgical and endoscopy waitlist until they are scheduled and have their procedure.
