The Physiotherapy Department at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne provides high-quality clinical services across a broad range of acute, sub-acute and outpatient settings. About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Grade 3 Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy Clinical Education team. This is a unique opportunity to provide leadership in clinical education and contribute to the ongoing development of Physiotherapy staff and students across St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Reporting to the Physiotherapy Clinical Education Lead and Physiotherapy Manager, you will contribute to the Physiotherapy Clinical Education Stream while continuing to support high-quality clinical services for our patients. You will play an important role in coordinating and promoting clinical education opportunities for Physiotherapy staff and students, as well as contributing to broader Allied Health education initiatives where required.
The role includes supporting undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and contributing to collaborative education projects across Allied Health, St Vincent’s Health and partner universities.
We are looking for a clinician who brings:
Strong clinical knowledge and experience

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to take on a senior education-focused role within a supportive team committed to excellence in clinical practice, education and research.
Classification: Physiotherapist Grade 3 VB7–VC1 ($104,135 - $118,981 per annum, pro rata for part time).
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A minimum of 7 years' clinical and/or clinical education experience
Completion of, or progress towards, a relevant postgraduate qualification
Demonstrated knowledge of Physiotherapy management and clinical service provision within a public healthcare setting
Recognition by professional peers as a clinical expert, with broad and relevant clinical experience in your area of expertise
Demonstrated leadership, management and networking skills
Highly developed communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across teams and the wider organisation
Extensive experience supervising and supporting the professional development of Physiotherapists, students and support staff

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Speech Pathologist to join the Speech Pathology team at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. In this role, you will provide assessment and management for adults with communication, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders across a diverse range of acute and subacute clinical settings. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of caseloads, including Neurology, Rehabilitation, Critical Care, Oncology, General Medicine, Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) and @home services. Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based Speech Pathology services that support positive patient outcomes and contribute to safe and effective transitions of care. You will also have opportunities to contribute to quality improvement, research and service development, while continuing to develop your clinical skills and professional expertise.
Classification: Speech Pathologist Grade 2 VW1-VW4 Grade 2 ($90,235.60 - $103,724.40) per annum.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Assess and manage patients with communication, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders across acute and subacute settings
Provide high-quality, evidence-based Speech Pathology assessment and intervention
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team
Work across a diverse range of clinical areas, including Neurology, Rehabilitation, Critical Care, Oncology, General Medicine, GEM and @home services
Ensure clinical practice aligns with departmental policies, guidelines and current Speech Pathology Australia professional standards
Contribute to effective communication and collaboration across the multidisciplinary team

Your Contribution
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology), Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Master of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification
Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
Knowledge of Speech Pathology Australia position statements and the Code of Ethics
Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
A commitment to evidence-based, person-centred clinical practice
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
A current Victoria Police Check, or willingness to obtain one

1. Perioperative Scrub/Scout Nurses

Deliver high-standard intraoperative clinical care, assist surgeons as a scrub or scout nurse, maintain strict sterile techniques, and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.

Be a patient advocate, ensuring that their rights are upheld and their voices are heard.
Promote a welcoming, compassionate environment for patients and their families.

2. Admissions & Discharge Nurses

About the Role
The Waiting List Officer is accountable for the management of patients on the Planned Surgery Waiting List from a clerical perspective within the guidelines of the Department of Health Planned Surgery Access Policy. They provide efficient administrative support within the team and work closely with the Surgical Liaison Nurses to ensure patients are safely prepared for their elective procedure
• Receive and process waiting list forms from specialist clinics, private rooms and other areas of St Vincent's within stipulated time frame as per DHHS Elective Surgery Access Policy
• Accurately create, record and update the Waiting List Screen on Patient Administration System (PAS) as required
• Contact patients and schedule admission for procedures
• Schedule any appointments, that may include preadmission clinic, anaesthetic clinic, perioperative medicine unit (PMU) clinic and any associated investigations as requested by the SLN or unit
Positions available:
1. Waiting List Officer - Breast, Endocrine and Colorectal: permanent, full time 38 HPW
2. Waiting List Officer - Reliever Position: fixed term (until June 2027), full time 38 HPW (Monday - Friday)

What you'll be doing
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting clinicians to deliver safe, efficient and compassionate dental care in both mobile and fixed clinic environments.
Prepare dental equipment, instruments and materials, assist chairside and support patient comfort throughout procedures.
Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, including PPE, waste disposal, instrument reprocessing and sterilisation.
Maintain accurate patient records and digital data using NSW Health and Oral Health systems.
Travel between Western Sydney locations, assisting with the safe transport, assembly and pack-down of portable dental equipment.
Contribute to team meetings, training, oral health promotion and preventative programs, while supporting trainees and new team members.

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Certificate III in Dental Assisting or recognised equivalent/current enrolment in the course.
Selection Criteria:
Recent, adequate experience as a Dental Assistant across a range of dental specialties
Demonstrated ability to assist the clinician in a four-handed environment, with a variety of dental procedures including general or specialised care.
Demonstrated ability to perform effective infection control procedures in all aspects of Dental Assisting.
Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in dental charting with good computer skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.

Hold a current Class C Licence and willing to take shared responsibility for safe driving of various fleet vehicles between locations in Western Sydney and back to the base location.

Assist theatre staff to transport patients within the Operating Suite from Reception and Day Stay Unit to the appropriate Theatre, Recovery, and Reception for discharge.
Assist with preparations of the Operating Room table and its attachments for varying surgical procedures.
Ensure adequate equipment is present for each Operating Room.
Work with the Nurse Managers and colleagues to provide optimal service to all customers, including patients, VMOs, and nursing staff.
