Cabrini Post Graduate Program
Cabrini has partnered with Deakin University to deliver a Post Graduate Midwifery Nursing Program. The program is 18-months duration and applications are open to Registered Nurses who want to transition to a career in Midwifery. Â
Course link: Graduate Diploma of Midwifery
To meet the learning requirements of the post graduate qualification, successful applicants will be employed in a part time capacity in our maternity unit as a registered nurse/postgraduate student. Rostering will take study and course attendance into consideration and include supernumerary shifts in Birth Suite and Special Care Nursery to meet course requirements.

Join our Post Graduate Student of Midwifery Program to further develop your career in healthcare and become a midwife.

12 months experience as a Registered Nurse

Are you an experienced Physiotherapist (Grade 1 or Grade 2) looking for flexibility and variety in your work? Epworth HealthCare is seeking passionate clinicians to join our casual physiotherapy workforce, supporting weekday, weekend and public holiday services across Epworth RichmondandEpworth Freemasons.
Working within our acute physiotherapy service, you'll provide care across a broad range of specialties including cardiorespiratory (ICU and wards), orthopaedics, neurology, neurosurgery and paediatrics.
As a valued member of our casual team, you'll help maintain safe and consistent physiotherapy services, support periods of increased demand, provide leave cover and contribute to seven-day service delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating and managing a portfolio of complex international haematology clinical trials

Coordinating participant activity and ensuring adherence to clinical trial protocols
Working collaboratively with Clinical Haematologists, Tumour Stream Leads, research staff and multidisciplinary clinical teams

Your part in our Buderim Hospital team
As part of our Orderly team, you will be responsible for assisting the nursing staff with the safe transfer, repositioning and mobilisation of patients and the setting up of the theatre equipment in preparation for procedures. In addition to this you will:
- Assist with the transport of patients to and from the ICU, ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfers and support with patient positioning, application of diathermy plate, suction etc.
- Handle and set up the hospital equipment in preparation for procedures and collect and dispose of all waste as per procedures contained in Waste Management
- Follow hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control
- Assist nursing team members with various patient procedures and ensure safe manual handling is utilised and the effective use of mechanical lifting aids

The Role
As a Registered Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit at Prince of Wales Hospital, the role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards of Practice. The nurse is responsible for coordinating and implementing nursing care, including comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to support patients in achieving optimal health outcomes.

Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. About the role
Deliver care to our tiniest patients! What You'll Be Doing
Working within EFNLHN's Consumer Directed Care model, you'll deliver support tailored to each client's goals and preferences - because here, the consumer shapes the care. Shifts, duties, and frequency are guided by the people you support, giving your work real purpose and variety.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility in a respectful and dignified manner
- Perform household tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and minor gardening
- Provide reliable transport to appointments and community outings
- Support social engagement and activities that contribute to client wellbeing
- At the WHD4 level, deliver personal care to clients with more complex support needs

About the role
The Registered Nurse delivers person-centred care across health settings, assessing needs, planning and coordinating services, and providing direct care or case management. Accountable for quality outcomes, the Registered Nurse collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to meet individual patient needs.
Key duties of the role
- Assess individual patient needs, and plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery.
- Provide direct person-centred nursing care and individual case management.

Skills and Experience
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
