About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe and effective nursing services in health service settings, developing from a novice practitioner to a proficient professional. What We’re Looking For:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.

About the Role
Are you ready to make a difference in critical care?
Join our dedicated Intensive Care Unit team at Lyell McEwin Hospital and provide exceptional care to some of our most vulnerable patients.
Located in Adelaide's northern suburbs, you'll work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals providing critical care to patients requiring intensive monitoring and life-saving interventions. Our ICU team is committed to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
This casual position offers flexible working arrangements while delivering exceptional patient care in our state-of-the-art intensive care unit until 31 March 2027.
What You'll Do
As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will:
- Deliver person-centred, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
- Respond promptly to clinical deterioration and escalate appropriately
- Support and mentor students and less experienced staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships
- an ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment
- commitment to high-quality patient and family-centred care
- Minimum three years experience working within ICU
To be eligible for appointment to this role, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Post-graduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing (Intensive Care) will be highly regarded.

Whyalla Hospital is one of three SA regional hospitals that has an Integrated Mental Health Inpatient Unit (IMHIU). The IMHIU features six single bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a comfortably furnished dining and lounge area, making the environment as welcoming and home-like as possible. About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse within the Local Health Network Mental Health service, you will deliver comprehensive, evidence-based, recovery-focused care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. You will engage in individual and family therapies, group programs, health promotion, and community development initiatives, supporting the well-being of consumers and their families. This role offers opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression from novice to proficient practitioner, with accountability for nursing standards, delegated care, and making a meaningful impact on consumer outcomes.
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide essential support in the delivery of evidence-based, recovery-oriented mental health services. Working under the guidance of experienced clinicians, you will contribute to integrated care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. You will remain accountable for your actions and ensure high-quality care for consumers, while developing your skills and confidence in mental health nursing practice.
About You:
RN/M1
- Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Be enrolled and/or willing to enrol in further postgraduate studies within Mental Health practice.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.

About your opportunity
As an Enrolled Nurse within NMST, you will deliver person-centred care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, working across multiple clinical areas. This role offers variety, professional growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic healthcare environment.
This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help the Townsville Hospital and Health Service identify potentially suitable applicants for future Nursing and Midwifery Staffing Team employment opportunities.

Nursing Pool staff are recruited and managed to maintain the required level of competence to practice safely in the specialised areas in which they are deployed. Pool nurses are aware of their personal responsibility to maintain a high level of competence in paediatric nursing and are provided with relevant opportunities for learning and professional development including performance development and planning (PDP).

About Child Development Service: The Child Development Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and intervention services to infants, children and young people with developmental delay or difficulties that impact on function, participation and/or the parent-child relationship. Clinicians adopt a child and family-centred approach, working in partnership with families to address developmental concerns that are of priority to the family. Our teams include Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and other allied health professionals. The Child Development Service provides services at approximately 18 locations across the metropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school and community visits as needed.
