We are assisting our highly regarded client located in Melbourne's inner west to source nursing staff for their well established Maternity Unit. This Facility is approximately 10km from the CBD, known for its maritime history, hertiage buildings and city skyline views. The hospital is a very reputable facility offering a range of other services including emergency, surgical, renal dialysis and community.
The Position
This position is a permanent role for experienced Midwives.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clinical, non-clinical, and social needs, including identification of at-risk women and babies. Accurately document findings in the consumer’s health record and care plan, and implement consumer-specific risk minimisation strategies.
-Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for all care delivered, practicing within scope and in accordance with organisational policies and professional standards.
- Recognise changes in consumers’ condition and take necessary action including reporting and escalation seeking appropriate assistance
-Effectively develop discharge plans that reflect the needs of women, babies, families and their significant others and demonstrates an understanding of the role of community providers
- Role model best practice and reference latest research
- Preform other midwifery duties as required

- Current registration with AHPRA
- Experience as a registered Midwife

- immunisation health clearance prior to employment

You would have the opportunity to work across both North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community hospital and our scenic outreach services. The North West Maternity Services (NWMS) is primarily located at the North West Regional Hospital, with satellite and community-based services delivered across Mersey Community Hospital (MCH), King Island District Hospital, Smithton District Hospital and West Coast District Hospital. Our service covers the full scope of maternity care including antenatal clinics, parenting education classes, pregnancy and postnatal assessment services, a 4-bed birthing suite, 20 bed inpatient ward, 8 bed special care nursery and extended care midwifery services for women when they discharge home after birth. The Position:

The Position
Skilled Medical is seeking an Intensive Care (ICU) Registrar to join the Intensive Care Unit at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital commencing on 2 March or 3 August 2026.
Health Service
This ICU is accredited as a C12 unit under the CICM training program, with endorsements for General, Rural, and Paediatric training. They actively support CICM candidates, helping them prepare for Part 1 and Part 2 exams, and have a history of trainees successfully completing their CICM research projects during their time in the department. Non-training registrars have also published research projects in peer-reviewed journals. All registrars have the chance to get involved in quality improvement and research initiatives, contributing to the ongoing advancement of our department.
The successful candidate would join a team of 12-14 Registrars and a diverse group of nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals. The ICU provides critical care for both adult and paediatric patients, managing complex cases and transporting patients within Hawkes Bay and to tertiary referral centres. You'll have opportunities to be involved in rotary wing and road transfers.

Hawkes Bay Hospital is a 400-bed secondary-level public hospital in Hastings, serving a population of over 180,000 people. They offer both acute and elective care across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties, including paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, and more. Although they don't provide cardiothoracic and neurosurgery, they are supported by a strong regional ICU team, ensuring comprehensive care for a diverse patient population. Essential Criteria
An MBBS or equivalent to enable registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and Fellowship with an Australian Medical Specialist College is mandatory.
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA) is highly desirable for this role however not mandated.
The ability to work in a clinical capacity (0.2 FE) in your recognised specialty with the Central Queensland Health would be highly desirable.
Current ALS certification and enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies is mandatory.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in the Senior Medical/ DMS on call roster. The appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice. There is a system of review and renewal of credentials and Scope of Clinical Practice for Specialists and Non-specialist Senior Medical Officers on staff. This is reviewed on a three-yearly basis.
The Package
Total package up to $543,581 p.a.
Additional benefits to this role include:
- Medical Managers Allowance / Clinical Managers allowance is payable dependent upon incumbent’s qualifications.

- Professional Development Allowance - $21,500 p.a.

Attraction and Retention Allowance – up to 50% of base salary dependent on qualifications and granted private practice arrangements

The Position
Our client is seeking a Paediatrician to establish permanent practice on their campus.
The position will entail on-call and care for current patients in the 12-bed paediatric, 8-bed special care and 16-bed maternity wards.
Health Service
Our client is the towns largest and oldest private hospital. A 197 bed facility services the Darling Downs and south-west region of Queensland - a regional catchment area of more than 400,000 people. The hospital features a new Intensive Care Unit, two large medical wards, palliative care and rehabilitation facilities, cardiology including advanced diagnostics and interventional cardiology, 11 operating theatres, the only private Emergency Department and the only private maternity service in the city.
This role will see you working in the towns only private paediatric ward with qualified paediatric nurses in a child-friendly environment, and the only private birthing suite and maternity ward. About 800 births occur in our maternity ward each year and eight private obstetricians practise within the hospital.
The special care nursery has Level 4 capability – gestation of 32 weeks and over – and has capacity for eight babies. We can provide CPAP and stabilisation of a ventilated neonate for transfer to higher care if needed.
The Location
A regional city of approximately 150,000 people located 125km west of Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane. The town enjoys a subtropical climate with warm summers and cool winters. It is home to numerous quality public and private educational establishments.
Essential Criteria
Suitable applicants will have unrestricted specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia and be eligible for an unrestricted provider number.

The hospital's current Paediatricians have significant waiting lists. There are opportunities to build your new practice with a mix of inpatient consulting, outpatient clinics and maternal medicine.
