Combine your Nursing / Science knowledge and experience into research and care of the cancer patient We have openings for both full time and part time Research Nurse / Study Coordinators in our teams. The roles are both patient facing as well as administrative and requires you, as part of a team to coordinate and manage a number of clinical trials with many opportunities to learn and develop your skills and knowledge in this rewarding area of healthcare.
About the Role
Join our team as an Oncology Research Nurse / Study Coordinator on a Full Time / Part Time (hours/days), fixed term (12 months with review to extension), to work at Monash Medical Centre based at Clayton. The Oncology Clinical Trials department works mainly out of Monash Medical Centre and utilizes the facilities of the Monash Health Translation Precinct - a purpose built state of the art clinical trials unit. The oncology team is divided into 6 medical streams - Lung, GI, GU, Breast, Early Phase and Gynae and an operations team. At any one time we approximately, conduct 200 trials at various stages of development. The Research Nurse / Study Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the patients cancer journey and as part of the team support both the Team Lead, and investigators in the safe conduct of new and exciting clinical trials offering the cancer patient, the opportunity to receive the most up to date Cancer Treatment, whilst participating in the advancement of clinical research. The Research Nurse / Study Coordinators role is an eclectic one solely to give the successful candidate a broad understanding of the conduct and management of clinical trials.

About Us - Emergency Department, Dandenong Hospital
Our Emergency Department manages approximately 70,000 presentations annually, serving both adult and paediatric patients.
The department includes:

35 main cubicles and 20 short-stay beds

4 resuscitation bays, decontamination facilities, and 2 isolation rooms

About the Role
The Emergency Department Administrative Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Emergency Department. This multi-skilled position is responsible for registering, admitting, transferring, and discharging patients, while also providing essential administrative support to medical and nursing staff and responding to patient enquiries.

About Oncology Research
Oncology Research at Monash Health Clayton are one of the largest oncology clinical research teams in Victoria. We operate leading specialist research teams across cancer areas including breast, gynae, GU, GI, lung, neuro, skin, head and neck, and early phase trials, and have around 200 clinical trials open at any one time. Monash Health recruit from one of the largest catchment areas in Victoria and have a dedicated Clinical Trials Centre, offering cutting edge clinical care specific for the provision of clinical trials.
About the Role - Team Lead, Oncology Research (Breast)
We are looking for an experienced Research Nurse/Study Coordinator who can lead our breast cancer clinical trials team into the future to strengthen and enhance our breast cancer trials portfolio.This role involves hands on study coordination of commercially sponsored and collaborative group trials, training and mentoring a team of study coordinators, is patient facing, and is responsible for the ongoing management of the breast cancer trials team into the future. You will work closely with our Breast Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners, Fellows, as well as Breast Cancer Research Groups and the wider oncology department at Monash Health.
The Team Lead will report to the Research Manager who will provide clinical guidance, provide professional management and day to day work review. It is desirable that the Research Team staff are knowledgeable in the administration of anticancer drugs. The actual administration of the trial drugs will be conducted at the Clinical Trials Centre Monash Health Translation Precinct. Workload may be variable dependent on the number and status of research studies.
The role is classified as a Research Nurse Level 3 (YX13) or Science Equivalent (RZ1), and is Full Time (however 0.8FTE may be considered for the right candidate).
About You
Qualifications, registrations and licences:
- Current AHPRA Division 1 Nursing registration or science degree equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft and IT systems
- Minimum of 3 years clinical trials experience
- Desirable: Oncology/ Haematology post graduate qualification, but at a minimum, relevant applicable knowledge and/or experience in this field.
Technical skills, knowledge and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating (oncology) clinical trials
- Demonstrated experience managing small, multidisciplinary teams
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Advanced skills in using data collection systems used for clinical trials (paper and electronic).
- Proven ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively in situations where competing deadlines may arise.

Work within the Nurse Education team, and provide education and support within the Mental Health Program.
A key component of this role is to design, develop and facilitate education and to provide clinical support to the mental health workforce, new staff members, graduates and undergraduate students within the Mental Health Program. Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to patients before, during and following cardiac procedures.
Complete comprehensive pre- and post-procedure clinical assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.
Prepare patients for cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring all relevant clinical and procedural requirements are met.
Provide nursing support during procedures, working collaboratively with cardiologists and the wider Cath Lab team.
Monitor patients closely, including cardiac rhythm, vital signs and clinical condition, and respond appropriately to changes or complications.
Administer medications safely and effectively, including medications associated with cardiac procedures and patient recovery.
Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring for complications, wound and vascular access site assessment and ongoing clinical observation.
Educate and support patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, medications and ongoing care requirements.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide clear, timely clinical handover.
Work collaboratively with cardiologists, cardiac technicians, anaesthetic staff, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, clinical safety and procedural practice.
Contribute to a positive team culture and exceptional patient experience.
To succeed in this role, you will have well-developed clinical assessment, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide safe, responsive and compassionate care within a fast-paced cardiac environment. You will demonstrate sound clinical judgement, strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills, together with a commitment to teamwork and clinical excellence.
You will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, along with recent clinical experience in an acute hospital environment. Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, cardiac, coronary care or perioperative setting will be highly regarded; however, we are also interested in Registered Nurses with strong acute clinical skills who are looking to develop their career within cardiac nursing and procedural services.

About the Role
The Waiting List Officer is accountable for the management of patients on the Planned Surgery Waiting List from a clerical perspective within the guidelines of the Department of Health Planned Surgery Access Policy. • Contact patients and schedule admission for procedures

1. Waiting List Officer - Breast, Endocrine and Colorectal: permanent, full time 38 HPW

Horizon House Young Parents Program
We have three homes dedicated to supporting young and expecting parents. Beyond safe accommodation, they offer practical guidance and emotional support to help prepare for the baby’s arrival and build confidence in the parenting journey.
About the role
As a Youth Worker with the Horizon House Young Parents Program, you will support young and expecting parents aged 16 to 22 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity offered on a 4-month fixed-term contract, working 27 hours per fortnight across three sleepover shifts. Shifts are typically rostered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights each fortnight, providing flexibility during the week.
Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed and relationship-focused approach, you will help young people build confidence, develop life and parenting skills, and work towards independence and positive future outcomes. By providing a safe, supportive and stable environment, you will empower young people to achieve their goals and enhance their wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, placing their interests and well-being at the forefront of all interactions.
Provide safe and stable long-term accommodation to a young people who are at risk of being homelessness, creating an environment that promotes growth and development
Offer outreach, strengths based and practical support to meet the continuum of care arrangements for young people with complex needs.
Assist young people in realising their aspirations and potential, through participating in education, training, and employment services.
Assist in case management and planning for young people
Support young people in developing independent living skills
Your skills and experience
You are a compassionate and resilient professional with experience supporting young people or vulnerable communities. You bring strong communication and relationship-building skills, an understanding of trauma-informed practice, and a genuine commitment to child safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes for young people.
What You'll Bring
Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar and/or minimum 2 years of experience in an area related to youth work and/or case management.

As part of the Service Desk Team, we are looking for someone who can provide technical assistance and support to the organization's IT hardware, software, and systems
Traits that will help you succeed
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, software, phones, and peripheral equipment.
Troubleshooting and performing a variety of technical tasks.
Logging requests and incidents in the ITSM tool.
Responding to user support requests and inquiries within agreed timeframes and Service Level Agreements.
Assist in basic operation and maintenance of shared equipment.
Preparing detailed instructions, training, and educating users in the operation of technology systems.
Maintain knowledge of current trends, risk mitigation and security methods.

Essential skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar IT Service Desk role.
Demonstrated skills in the installation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of PCs, printers, software, and information security systems.
Basic Microsoft Windows troubleshooting and hardware fault diagnosis, installations, and maintenance.
Experience with managing work through an IT Service Management tool.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems (e.g. Windows 11, Server 2016) and Office 365.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
