Bowral & District Hospital is a level 3 acute bed facility which provides a wide range of services including 24-hour Emergency Department, 2 x Operating Theatres, ICU, Maternity & Paediatrics.
Our Level 3 Maternity Service provides antenatal, birthing and postnatal care for in excess of 500 women a year. We also run an gynaecology clinic providing outpatient consults, colposcopy, family planning and elective gynaecological surgical procedures for the women of the Highlands.

What you'll be doing
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide effective obstetric and gynaecological services to women under supervision, while developing expertise in managing these women in a complex clinical environment.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Completion of at least three postgraduate years including a minimum of 1 year experience in women's health, with clinical competencein perineal repair, interpretation of foetal monitoring, uncomplicated assisted vaginal and caesarean birth and management of obstetric emergencies) Experience assisting gynaecological surgery including laparoscopy is also desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment, excellent clinical skills and judgment together with teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills in the clinical settings and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff/medical students and a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
- Preparedness and ability to work independently in a supervised environment.
- Prepared to participate in after hours and on-call work as required.
- Knowledge of relevant NSW Health policy.

Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.As one of the Staff Specialists in this Unit, you will primarily take part in the clinical duties of the TACS unit and cover Trauma and ASU (Acute Surgical Unit) as well as participate in the General Surgery on call after hours roster.Coordination and management of the acute resuscitation and treatment of multiple injured patients, emergency general surgery patients and coordination of acute care between multiple services and disciplines is a major focus of the role.You will also be expected to assist the department in the running of Trauma, General Surgery, and Acute Surgery clinics as well as participate in unit elective and emergency surgical operating lists.

About The Opportunity
COPILOT is a dynamic and exciting service that provides rapid access to multi-disciplinary geriatric assessment (medical, nursing, and allied health) for older people living in the community setting. Referral enables care to be implemented in the patient’s home environment, whether that be in RACH's or their own homes, avoiding unnecessary transfer to hospital and leading to improved patient outcomes.
The COPILOT VMO will provide a high quality clinical service to older people and their families/carers to optimise health outcomes and support clients keeping well in the community. The VMO will provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and evidence-based care to clients residing in their own homes or nursing homes for acute care with the goal of avoiding unnecessary transfer to hospital.
The COPILOT VMO will need strong clinical leadership and decision making skills, have relevant clinical experience in the Aged Care speciality, and preferentially experience in providing community-based care both in a direct and virtual capacity. The position requires compliance with mandatory clinical administration duties, and participation in an on-call roster. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills, be efficient and have excellent time-management skills, and a willingness to join a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary district-wide service.

Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.

The Role
Dementia Support Australia offers a 24-hour Helpline service, providing expert behaviour management support for people with dementia over the phone, through our web-based chat, and via email.
The Helpline Consultant works closely with different services within DSA to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to reduce the impact of dementia related behaviour on people living with dementia, their carers and staff.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for families, care providers and people living with dementia who contact DSA. You will triage referrals, assess new clients over the phone, offer tailored recommendations to manage changes in behaviour, and provide support for existing clients.
This role is offered as a Fixed Term Full-time contract up until 30 June 2028 with flexibility to work across a variety of shifts throughout the week from our Osborne Park Office.

Responsibilities:
- Engage with HammondCare’s Mission in Action, Model of Care, and DSA Case Management Framework, ensuring adherence to all relevant guidelines, policies, and procedures.

- Enhance professional knowledge through team communication, education, and mentoring within the Dementia Centre and HC Connect (Salesforce) systems.
- Meet regularly with the Helpline Team Leader to review performance, receive feedback, and contribute to service improvement.
- Manage complaints and complex situations professionally, escalating issues early to the Team Leader when required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to collect, analyse, and report call and Live Chat data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Problem-solve and implement service enhancements across the Helpline and Live Chat teams.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice through participation in forums, meetings, working groups, and projects.
- Engage in peer review and quality assurance, including triage and documentation audits, and participate actively in team meetings, supervision, and development activities.
What we need from you?
- Experience in Australian health or aged care (essential).
- Extensive knowledge of the types of dementia, their presentation, and strategies to manage behaviour changes.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Professional, patient and empathetic phone manner, with great customer service skills.

What you'll be doing
This position is primarily designed to benefit junior doctors who wish to pursue a career in surgery, focusing on General Surgery.
The position will provide effective surgical services to patients under supervision at Campbelltown Hospital in complex clinical environments whilst facilitating trainee's preparation for a career in surgery.
This unaccredited trainee position also offers trainees a 6 month rotation to Alice Springs Hospital.
There will be ample opportunity for theatre exposure.
Responsibilities include:
Co-ordinating admission, management and discharge planning of patients with all members of the team.
Ensuring admission and management plans are documented in the relevant medical records.
Involvement in day-to-day assessment and management of patients including effective clinical handover.
Arranging consultations.
Involvement in discharge planning, liaising with all members of the team, local medical officers and community services.
Involvement in decision-making in consultation with senior members of the team.
Active participation in educational and career development opportunities offered including attendance at teaching sessions.
Full participation in after hours on call as required.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilizing excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.
- At least three years' post graduate experience in public hospital service (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills.
- Demonstrated effective teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary clinical care team.
- Demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career in surgery with a view to future training with RACS. This includes completion of or preparation for the RACS Primary Examinations.

To provide Community Paediatric services for children and adolescents at risk including comprehensive assessment of children and young people at risk, and to obtain advanced training in Community Child Health fields of Population Child Health, Social and Ambulatory Paediatrics, Child Protection and Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics.
The fellow position offers trainees the opportunity to work with multi-disciplinary teams in a variety of clinical settings involving vulnerable families and children. The fellow participates in refugee paediatric clinics and out-of-home care clinics, as well as working with paediatric Aboriginal populations. They are involved in the clinical assessment of acute child protection cases, and follow-up of at-risk children and families. There are opportunities for the fellow to be involved in developmental screening clinics, as well as the research and population health activities of the department.

What you'll be doing

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) as an advanced trainee or equivalent. Those registered with the RACP, should have preferably completed a minimum 6 months as an advanced trainee with RACP (or equivalent) at the commencement of Fellowship.
- 6 months experience in relevant subspecialty or equivalent. Please detail relevant experience
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
- Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, with a willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
- Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research proposal.
- Able to meet on call requirements of the individual positions.
