- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, families, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.

About the opportunity:
This role will support the Service Manager in a range of day to day administrative and support tasks. Being the first point of contact for residents, families and staff, you will be responsible for providing courteous reception and administrative support, including rostering of the staff at the facility
- Facilitate communication with residents and / or their families and staff in relation to office administration requirements.
- Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day activities of the office ensuring administrative, clerical and reception services are provided to the residents, visitors and staff.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant, McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - Breast, acts as a clinical expert and functions as a resource person for staff at South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD), McGrath Foundation, and health professionals from across the state and the broad community. The McGrath Breast Care Nurse adapts their practice according to the specific and changing needs of the individual, considering their multiple health needs, concerns, and preferences for care. About The Opportunity
Bowral Hospital is offering an exciting Staff Specialist opportunity for an experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to play a key role in delivering high-quality care to the Southern Highlands community. In this role, you will provide contemporary, evidence-based Obstetric and Gynaecological services across inpatient, ambulatory and on-call settings.
You will contribute to the delivery of safe, patient-centred care through effective clinical assessment, management and documentation, while supporting multidisciplinary collaboration and continuity of care. You will actively participate in clinical governance activities including quality improvement, peer review, patient safety initiatives, accreditation processes and compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
The successful applicant will also contribute to the education, supervision and mentorship of junior medical officers and medical students, supporting training programs aligned with NSW Health, SWSLHD and HETI requirements. What You'll Be Doing
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
Bowral provides pregnancy and birthing care for approximately 550 women a year as a Level 3 Maternity service. We have strong links with Campbelltown and Liverpool Hospitals for onward referral where complexity exists. We also run an outpatient gynaecology service, providing minor procedures, colposcopy, family planning and termination services, with access to operating theatres providing laparoscopic procedures up RANZCOG level 4.

- Lead and influence contemporary infection prevention and control practices across a large and diverse health service.
- Provide expert clinical advice, guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams, patients and carers.

You are a highly motivated and experienced nursing professional with a passion for infection prevention, clinical leadership and improving patient outcomes. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring the expertise, critical thinking and communication skills needed to support safe, high-quality care.
- Extensive experience in delivering expert clinical advice and leading evidence-based practice within a complex healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention and control, including the application of evidence-based practice.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to drive quality improvement initiatives, manage risk and support safe clinical practice.
- Commitment to professional development, education, research and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Selection Criteria

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and approved post graduate nursing qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
- Describe a time when you led or contributed to an infection prevention and control initiative that improved patient safety or clinical outcomes. What was your role, what actions did you take, and what was the outcome?
This role requires collaboration with a range of stakeholders to influence practice and implement evidence-based infection prevention strategies. Provide an example of how you successfully engaged and influenced clinical staff or multidisciplinary teams to achieve a quality improvement outcome. What challenges did you encounter and how did you address them?
